Tentacles and Truffles: A Cozy Why Choose Monster Romance

Rate this book
When a chocolatier’s cosmic confections unleash an irresistible brew of tangled tentacles, glitchy cybernetics, and royal pheromones, love on Lunar Station Eros becomes anything but ordinary.
Hailey Calloway thought running Sweet Nebula—the coziest café on Lunar Station Eros—was wild enough. But one Valentine’s Day, a mischievous PA’s botched recipe accidentally turns her signature truffles into dangerously potent aphrodisiacs. Now, Hailey can’t stop blushing under the combined affections of three utterly different

Xy’lan, the brilliant alien scholar whose tentacles betray his hidden feelings.

Ronan Garret, a stoic bio-mechanical assassin struggling with emotions he’s never dared to embrace.

Prince Kael’ith, a glamorous rogue royal whose pheromones mask a surprising vulnerability.

Locked inside her café until she finds a cure, Hailey realizes she’s not the only target of this chocolate-fueled fiasco—Xy’lan, Ronan, and Kael’ith have equal (and sometimes highly flammable) interest in each other, too. When the antidote finally materializes, they all face a sacrifice these edgy, life-altering desires or let a Valentine’s accident become the sweetest discovery of their lives.

Tropes in this book Why Choose / Reverse Harem, Forced Proximity, Alien Courting Rituals, Sword Crossing, Romantic Comedy, Sci Fi Cozy Monster Romance, and lots of heat!

Tentacles and Truffles is book 1 in a novella length duet.

A helpful bot's ingredient substitution has Hailey and the three alien men she's attracted to buzzing. Actually, it's more than just the fur of them. There are multiple individuals on the station looking for alone time with their chosen special someone as Hailey's Valentine truffles work their magic.

But Hailey? She has three wildly different men looking at her and each other like there's a whole lot they want to explore. So these four do what any group would do when dosed with an aphrodisiac. They enjoy it while it lasts.

Xy'lan, Ronan, and Kael'ith are adventurous, creative, and willing to explore this thing brewing between them. Hailey gets to not only enjoy them individually, but watch them enjoying each other, as well. Which she is VERY into. BUT...they're also a group trying to navigate a new dynamic and they're careful with one another as they learn what boundaries to push and lines to cross.

Some potent honey, more than a few longing looks, a cafe that will likely need to be sanitized DEEPLY before Hailey can reopen, and four individuals who are willing to throw caution to the wind and see where this attraction takes them. *thumbs up*

Oops! I accidentally read a non-human written book. Well almost. DNF @80%. If you like inconsistencies, em dashes, confusion, poor character descriptions, repetition, multiple characters having an ozone scent then this book is for you. Personally I would hope an author would not come up with a brine and honey choc ganache flavour combo, a lover having a sharp tongue-knife and his cybernetic arm intermittently switching between left and right! If it’s not AI and you are infact a human, then I apologise but my rating still stands. FYI - apparently it ends on a cliffhanger.

This is an absolutely brilliant story. Heads up it is a cliffhanger. The world building is wonderfully done. I love the characters that the author creates. They are so diverse and interesting. The plot is a very interesting one. I really enjoyed watching it play out. The spice was very nicely done. I love the dynamic and emotions between the characters. I can hardly wait for my next helping of this wonderful world.

NOPE

Not for me. There were so many mistakes and besides the spice the story was unclear. I didn’t care for any of the characters. If this book would have been longer I would’ve DNF-ED it. I will not be reading the next book at all.

Cozy Café… But Make It Tentacles was such a chaotic, cozy monster-romance ride 🐙✨ If you like monster romance that doesn’t take itself too seriously and has lots of playful, spicy moments, this one is a super fun, quick read

DNF at ~50% very repetitive with many an em dash… either needs an editor or potentially AI… i would tread carefully picking this one up.
