I have followed Ashley Cobb (@sexwithashley) on Instagram for years and always thought she gave sound sexual health recommendations to Black women so I was happy to support by purchasing her book. I love the format of an encyclopedia of different sex and sexual health topics with lots of information and even pictures! I was not expecting to get the vignettes for each chapter with stories from Ashley or her clients (anonymously) to further a concept. (Who knew she she was in a purity cult! I completely missed that!) I especially think this book will be helpful for women who grew up as "church girls" or "good girls" and came later to sexual experiences and hands-on education. Every Black woman or any person who loves or has sex with Black women should read this book. The one critique, if any, is while the book says it is really for anyone, I do think it leans heavily towards heterosexual Black women. Highly recommended.

I thought the book overall was great. I took plenty of annotated notes. I loved that the book was black woman centered. I would recommending reading any book that she writes. Finished this book in less than a week. Also, I recommend buying this book and keeping it in your personal book collection because there were so many great tips and ideas shared throughout the book.

Yes p!ease!
Pleasure for Black women? Yes please! This is a good started book for woman interested in leaning into their sexuality which every woman who wants it deserves. The main thing missing is discussion of lesbian and bi issues but it's a pretty good overview otherwise.
