Everyone who knows me knows I’m a hedonist. I had taken a hit, sure. After watching the woman I thought I was in love with settle down with someone else, I… struggled. So when I went to a bar where a friend’s sister worked, I just wanted a break.
I didn’t expect to find the stone top that would remind me what hedonism was all about.
Jimena
My brother could be the most meddlesome piece of shit, but I had to admit, I didn’t feel very inclined to call him out this one time. From the moment she walked into the bar and had everyone staring because she did not belong in the type of dive bar I worked at? I knew I would do anything to worship the ground she walked on.
If only I wasn’t a struggling single mother without the ropes to give her everything she deserved.

Worthy includes sapphic pining, shibari and rope bondage, suspension, a dash of S/M, a single mother who doesn’t believe she’s good enough, a kid obsessed with all things musical theatre, stone top/pillow princess dynamics, a golden retriever butch, and of course, a good heap of found family and ethical non-monogamy thrown in there.
Another amazing read by this author. They are simply a superior writer of all things kink imo. I very much enjoyed how this book was a bit different than the previous Plumas stories in that we didn’t go to Plumas although we did get to reunite with all the main characters.
Maria finally gets her story! We get much more backstory, depth and appreciation of all things Maria. I enjoyed her connection and developing relationship with Jimena. The shibari was fascinating and so well done I felt I could be watching the rope work in person. And the steam between these two I swear I could see in the air around me ;). I would love at least a hundred more pages mostly featuring Maria and Jimena but also Ali and the Plumas family. Highly recommend!!
Now I’m going to preface this review with I really enjoyed this book. The characters had depth, there was chemistry and some very hot scenes. However I did feel that there was no real story line and I did feel that the end was rushed. Despite this I really enjoyed this book and if you’re looking for a low stress fun read this is the book for you.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange of an honest review
Before anything, I got the book as an ARC but my rating reflects my own opinion
the story follows a service top who also doubles as a single mother and a switchy hedonistic person who too easily gives up herself to make others happy.
my favourite parts were when María accepted through help of Jimena that she needs to put herself first sometimes and when Jimena realised she isnt alone and can lean on the help from other people.
The book was really really enjoyable. The Kink scenes with a stone top were different and refreshing (I had to google what stone top means first) and the way María just voiced her likes with barely any bratting and complaints sounded heavenly as a switch myself
Why I only gave 4* instead of 5 the book tried to do so much and include very difficult topics like abandonment, corrective r+pe etc, but sadly failed to do them all fully justice I wouldve wished another chapter or two to maybe resolve them more, because as it is right now the Epilogue/Ending felt a bit sudden
"Worthy" is a sapphic contemporary romance story. It's part of a series but it can be read as a standalone, I personally think it's more fun if you read them in order because they are all great and all the characters are a big wonderful found family. In this book we follow Maria and Jimena. I really connected with Jimena who is a single mother. Being a parent is so hard. The chemistry between Jimena and Maria was brilliant and I loved their kink dynamic. The scenes where they played together were absolutely delicious. The book deals with some serious topics too and I appreciated how the author handled them. I wish it was a little bit longer. I would like to read more about Maria's relationship with her father. And would really like to see more of Jimena's daughter. I enjoyed the book very much. It was a great addition to the series and a wonderful romance.
Maria's book! It was great for Maria to get her happy ending after being left a little hanging in Just One Rule. As with all the other books in the Plumas series, I learned some new kink terms I hadn't encountered before. This book features a stone top and pillow princess dynamic, which was new to me. There was a decided lack of Sergio in this one, but otherwise it fit well into the Plumas universe. It gave hurt/comfort vibes and characters finding acceptance with themselves through new dynamics with partners who value them and find them worthy.
