Knotty Escape: Why Choose Omegaverse Romance
She’s an Omega that's sick of denying her instincts. They’re Alphas that want an Omega to cherish.
Getting locked in an escape room with three sexy Alphas as Lila goes into heat wasn’t on her new single life to do list, but who is she to tell the universe no?
Lila was thinking more along the lines of solo adventures, and trying things she’s never been brave enough to do before, not scent marking the Alpha she crushed on in college in the bathroom of her ex’s apartment as he helps her loosen up.
She’s an Omega that's sick of denying her instincts. They’re Alphas that want an Omega to cherish.
Good thing Harrison, Westley, and River have no intentions of letting Lila be the one that got away. They’ll show her how an Omega deserves to be worshipped, something she’s never had before.
No one, not even their crappy exs’, will get in the way, no matter how hard they might try.
This is a standalone Omegaverse why choose romance, with MFMM, and an HEA.

This novella was beyond mid. I feel like the omegaverse world is just a place where authors come who have no originality and no want to do anything amazing or special in their writing and whom have a weird kink for gay male sex.
This book was beyond boring and predictable, and the sex scenes were so lackluster and just stale like week old bread. I can’t believe I wasted almost 3 euros on this book.

Likeable characters, but only 75% complete story
I really liked the characters introduced, but the author didn’t fully conceptualize everything. We know Lila works long hours, but despite being a college graduate we never learn anything about what she does, where she works, how much she gets paid, etc. For an omega who seemed to be able to support herself, that seemed an unusual oversight. We learn absolutely nothing about what she wants in life, either. Is she just surviving the post-college life struggle or working up to her dream job? Fiona the flamingo had more detail than some of the main characters, but she was 10/10 as good as Wendy for a side character.
— spoilers ahead —-
Separately, some of the plot details were contradictory, or just missing. On one page Lila and Larry were together for 18 months, on another it was 4 years. When did she even move in with him? What did she do while he was gaming? How long were she and Wendy friends for Lila to trust her like that but not know much about her? And why didn’t Lila’s alphas sue Larry to reduce Lila’s debt? Shopping seemed a weird choice pamper her without knowing more about Lila’s debt and plans to reduce it. And her alphas never even ask anything about her job, but she’s The One. Such a frustrating relationship plot hole.
We never even learn anything about the alphas’ families or what they want in life either. I wish the author had written about 30 more pages fleshing out the details and showing how the alphas were just as in love with Lila’s personality as they were with her scent and body. Loved the concept, but I still feel like I read 3/4 of a book.

Serious Continuity Issues
I really enjoyed the premise of this story, even if it wasn't quite what the info led me to believe. This book would have been rated way higher if there weren't some serious continuity issues throughout.
Not even their crappy exs" makes it seem like there is a ton of ex drama, but it's actually pretty light. Her ex is recent and they help her move out, their ex is from college and they go on one date early on in the book, but that is the extent of the ex drama. I also expected a lot more from the escape room ascpect of this book, and was a lot confused about how it worked (they made her a sandwhich mid way through?) and how small of a part it was for the over all story. It was kind of an insta love that was more of an old college rekindled crush, and then the guys trying to convince Lila they could make it work.
The continuity issues drove me batty. Often times in RH books, each guy has an indiviudal nickname for their partner; not in this book. They would randomly swap who was calling her which nick name, and it made it harder to keep track of the different characters. They also would have sudden, unexpected swaps on what they were doing. For example, to end a chapter River says "I'll make breakfast." in the next chapter Wes is the one making breakfast and a few pages later you learn River doesn't ever cook. We also never got a POV from Wes, which I really hated.

Lila is an omega, currently living with an Alpha who is basically a parasite feeding and living off her meager earnings. He is such a moucher that she is steadly piling up bills to ensure the loafer lives well. On the day of her birthday, he does the only stupid thing a moron like himself would do. It is Lina's birthday but the bozo makes it all about himself. It is the last straw and she leaves him to go crash at her best friend's pad. Wendy is only too happy to accommdate.
After a hard day's work, she gets home and is coaxed into attending a new club. She gets there, meets Harrisson, an Alpha and they hit it off. He doesn't lye and admits that there are two additional alphas in his pack Wes and Rivers.
Agreat omegaverse the author created it with her usual aptitude to render the book,a fantastic read.

a quick read for me but enjoyable
A quick read but I enjoyed it. I loved the connection that Lila has with Harrison, Wes, and River. Even though this was a bit of a shorter read for me, the story still flowed well and the characters have depth too. I felt bad for Lila having the crappy ex. But of course that sets her up to meet the guys. There is some light stalking that’s hinted at but it’s not intense. I love the obsessive and passive nature of scent mates in the Omegaverse and this doesn’t skip that. I did read long with the audiobook. Kasi Hollowell and E.M. Wylde are new narrators to me. It’s always had to pick a book with someone who’s new to you but they did a really good job with the duet narration. I was not let down at all and they still brought the story to another level.

This was a sweet and cozy, but definitely steamy, Omegaverse short story. Lila, the FMC, is an omega struggling after a break up. She runs into Harrison shortly afterwards, and the rest is pretty much history. This was an insta-love story, with very little drama. Thus, pretty much the perfect short Omegaverse book.
Kira Roman does a great job creating characters, and this book was no exception. Except for Larry, the jerk. But he was still well-written and a necessary part of the story. I loved Lila and her men. River, Harrison and Wes were all perfect for Lila. And Wendy, the best friend, was a great addition to the book. I can’t wait to see where her story goes.
Overall, this was a cute Omegaverse short story.

I liked this book — it was cute, short, and exactly what I expected from a quick Omegaverse read. While it doesn’t dive too deeply into character development, there was enough personality and backstory sprinkled in to keep the relationships believable and engaging, especially given the length.
What I really appreciated was that the focus stayed on the main characters and their connection. The heat, the banter, and the romance were front and center without getting bogged down in unnecessary drama. It made for an easy, enjoyable read that flowed smoothly from start to finish.
I’m looking forward to the next book in the series. There was a teaser blurb at the end, but it isn’t up on Amazon yet — hopefully it’ll be posted soon so I can add it to my wish list.

“I lean back and pull my omega into my chest. My omega. I have to make her mine.”
✔️MFMM sweet omegaverse why choose romance
✔️novella
✔️escape room meet cute
✔️instalust/love
✔️forced proximity
✔️heat, rut, nesting, bonding
This is a cute omegaverse novella. My only complaint (if you could call it that) is that the men are too similar, and I had a problem remembering who is who as I was reading. Since it was such a short story it wasn’t too bothersome, but it would have been if this was a full length novel. I knew going in that there wouldn’t be much (if any) character development and it would just be a spicy fun time, and that is what we got here. I enjoyed it, and while it’s not my favorite OV novella by this author I can still see myself rereading it in the future.

Quick read, with plenty of spice. We have a touch starved omega, in a terrible relationship who finally decides enough is enough. On the same night she meets her scent matches, and the isnta love plot begins. Reasonably well written, a little rushed so it feels like there are a few hole sbut honestly its still a great quick read. I don't believe I've read this author before but I won't stop at this one.

Finding her Worth
An omega whose boyfriend sucks majorly, this the second birthday he couldn’t be bothered to move away from his video game. She rightfully (should’ve the moment he had her paying the rent and bills) breaks up with the loser alpha and at her birthday party she meets her college crush. Now he’s a real alpha, actually the whole pack are. They are patient, stalkerish in a good way, showing her how real alpha men treat their omega.

Short and sweet
Beautifully written, I was worried when it was labelled as a novella at the start, really used to those missing info and jumping forward to complete the story or not having complete character growth, not to worry! Author gave enough time to fall in love (and hate) with everyone, can't wait to read Wendy's story I feel like she will be the badass we all love!

This book was very meh. I won't remember it, there was nothing new or unique about it, the spicy scenes were boring and actually a bit cringe. There's no real plot which I know it is a novella but some kind of plot would be good. I love omegaverse but I might actually have to give up on it as every book seems to be the same now.

Quick easy read.
So this was cute and fun to read. Of course I wish there would have been more information maybe. The characters were great and I love that River might of stalked her. Harrison was slightly deranged and I think he was my favorite. I will definitely be looking for Wendy's story.

Feel Good OV
Who doesn't love a feel-good second Chance omegaverse book. After dealing with our shitty ex alpha for 4 years Lila is truly deserved alphas who loved and cherished her. And boy did she find that in Harrison River and Wesley.

really quick good read
Good little book with just enough spice and plot to make it enjoyable. 5 star for a novella because it actually made sense all the way and tied off the loose ends

Short, cute, straight to the point
This is the type of fast pace stories I love to read. I felt nothing felt incomplete. Everything went together. Loved the men loved the best friend and the Fmc. Definitely would recommend this book.

I did not think I'd ever read something like this ..and I wouldn't have without the audiobook. this book is exactly what it promises to be, very short, insta lust, no character development but it's a shut your brain off kinda book and that's all I wanted it to be
August 14, 2026
It may be a shorty, but still a fun flirty read. Narrators were excellent. It was fast-paced with a lot of "mines, " "ours," and "I'll ruin anyone who hurts you." Loved the alphas, best friend was funny. Can't wait to read the next book in the series.

There's a cute story there. The guys are sweet, but... I don't know. It's very vanilla. Not just the mediocre spicy scenes, but the whole story. It's just ok.

The way I was locked in from beginning to end! And the audiobook narration was SO GOOD

I think character dynamics lacked or were a bit vague for me. I know there tends to be insta-love within omegaverse, but it just didn’t seem to build up from that.
