How many ways can a romantic Christmas vacation go wrong? Adair is about to find out.
When her fiancé’s family invites her to a ski lodge vacation, of course, Adair says yes. She’s an author on a deadline, and writing in a swoony ski lodge may cure her writer’s block.
Nothing goes as it’s supposed to.
It all starts with the flight. They’re in the air when Adair learns that her perfect fiancé has been cheating on her. To protect her image, she has to smile through family events and pretend everything is fine.
It’s not. How is she supposed to write a romance novel when her love life is in the dumps?
Jax, the down-to-earth owner of the lodge, may be the one to inspire her. Between teaching her to ski, stealing mistletoe kisses, and getting hot near the fire…he’s the bright spot in her dreary Christmas.
He has problems of his own. The lodge is one wrong move from being repossessed, and the money from Adair’s fiancé is the biggest payday he’s had in a long time.
If they don’t keep their rendezvous a secret, Jax will lose the lodge… and Adair will lose her muse. This romance novel contains mature content, including a relationship with an age gap.
This would be perfect cozy holiday read. The chemistry between Adair and Jackson was so fun and I really enjoyed the conflicts and dynamics they had with Marshall and his family. I really enjoyed getting to know these characters. The author has such a cozy writing style that is always so enjoyable to read, and the characters are always interesting. I can’t wait to read more from the author.
Favorite Line 🌟 “Yes, and you’re lucky we’re not alone. I would throw this ring on the floor and make you fetch it like the dog you are. We. Are. Over.”
All the cozy Christmas vibes set in a ski-lodge for a Christmas vacation. She's pretending to still be engaged while secretly hooking up and falling for the lodge owner.
I love the premise, but it felt like the characters' chemistry was forced, like two characters were slapped together just for the sake of it. Regardless, it's a cute cozy read.
a super cosy festive read with low angst and a HEA! quick and easy to follow, it’s perfect for curling up to read on the sofa with a hot chocolate and a snuggly blanket on a chilly winter morning.
