From Carina Rose comes this swoony romance between a small-town coffee shop owner and a hotshot lawyer!

It all started when the cappuccino machine went haywire and sent frothed milk all over me and a couple of my customers. Then the fire alarm went off thanks to my oven overheating. My day couldn’t get any worse, right? Well… hold my double-shot latte because I was served an eviction notice—my coffee shop and apartment, gone in sixty days. Cue my tears.

Then came the one-night stand—no last names, no strings, just one unforgettable, slightly reckless night with the most gorgeous man I’d ever laid eyes on. He made me feel things I hadn’t before. But more importantly, he helped me forget about my awful day.

Then we went our separate ways.

What I didn’t expect was for him to track me down. Or ask me out. Or make me laugh when everything I loved hung in the balance.

And just my luck, he was an attorney. Just the man who could help me, right? Wrong. His law firm was the one overseeing my eviction. And I couldn’t help wondering if he knew who I was all along, or if fate just had a twisted sense of humor.

4.5 You’ve Been Served by Carina Rose was such a delightful surprise, sweet, charming, and just the perfect summer read.

A one-night stand turns into a caffeinated conflict of interest when Beckett, an attorney, crosses paths with Hope, a coffee shop owner who is about to lose her shop.  Sparks fly and hearts start to brew up something neither of them saw coming.

Like the perfect cup of coffee from Hope’s Cozy Sip café, this story is both tasty and uplifting, and impossible to put down. You’ve Been Served is a warm, feel-good romance that leaves you smiling long after the last page.

Super sweet read from a brand new author. It’s the perfect read if you need something to breakup heavier reads.

This story revolves around Hope…our sweet coffee shop owner and Beckett, our hot shot attorney.

Hope is loving her dream as a coffee shop owner shop owner when she gets some shocking news…her landlord who also happens to be a family friend, is not just evicting her coffee shop, but also her from her apartment. She’s not having a good day 😭😭 Hope decides to go out with her best friend and blow off some steam when she meets a handsome man at the bar.

Beckett is smitten the minute he sees Hope sitting at the bar…and while he wants her, he has no interest in a relationship…far too busy running his practice with his two best friends. Both he and Hope decide that a one night stand is perfect…but after one night they can’t seem to keep away from each other.

Things are still complicated for Hope. When he goes to a meeting with the lawyers in charge of her eviction, she’s heartbroken to see Beckett is the one handling the case. This causes a 3rd act breakup obviously. There’s a lot of misunderstanding and miscommunication going on.

But the feelings between these two are strong and they are eventually able to sort things out and find their way back to each other.

This is a very low angst, low stakes romance read. Something to brighten your mood and lift your spirits…a great first book from the author. 💙

Thanks so much to Carin Rose and The Author Agency for the opportunity to ARC read this sweet book. 💙

All you need is page one to know that You’ve Been Served is going to be the book you needed this summer.
Hope Evans owner of The Cozy Sip coffee shop is living her best life, doing what she loves with her best friend but when a notice changes her life she knows that she will do whatever it takes to fight for what’s right but in the meantime she needs to unwind and one night changes everything when she meets Beckett Reed.
Beckett Reed is a partner in a highly successful law firm with his best friends, he is also a bachelor who doesn’t have time for relationships that’s until he meets Hope and he sees that when you meet the right person it makes you rethink your thinking.
Hope & Beckett’s chemistry is off the charts in every aspect of their relationship but when a misunderstanding tries to derail everything they have you either have to walk away or fight.
Everything about Hope & Beckett’s story will have you laughing and sighing all at once but you once you see the words The End it will leave you with a smile.

5 Star Review You’ve been Served by Carina Rose

From the first chapter to the last I was totally invested in coffee shop owner Hope Evans and lawyer Beckett Reed’s story.

The characters were easy to relate to and I found myself laughing out loud on a number of occasions.

After a day of shocks, a one night stand is just what Hope needs. However she is shocked when Beckett finds her, even more when she learns that he works for the firm that is overseeing her eviction from her coffee shop and apartment.

The chemistry between them is palpable but Hope is cautious. Could Beckett be the “one”?

This was a well written and, entertaining story that I thoroughly enjoyed.

oh i ate this up!! this book follows hope, a small-town coffee shop owner, and beckett, a well-known attorney, who find themselves falling for each other after spending a night together. their relationship takes a turn for the worse when hope’s coffee shop faces legal trouble at the hand of beckett’s law firm. although the book was pretty short, i found it to be well paced and i really enjoyed watching hope and beckett’s love story develop!

I was hooked! Hope and Beckett are the true epitome of opposites attract and they are cuteness overload.

The conflict between these two was the perfect balance, with him being the attorney who was over seeing her eviction, falling for her hard and her likely losing the hope of her future with her coffee shop getting evicted out of the building. The banter was some of the best I have come across and the closed door romance was sweet!

I love this author!! She will keep you turning the pages with Hope and Beckett. There were fireworks from the start. Beckett knew one night would never be enough with Hope. They met by chance but their worlds were more intertwined than even they knew. This book will leave your hearts happy.

When Hope life dream of owning her own coffee shop come crashing down around her will things get worse or better? Hope day just keeps on getting better and better until she decided that’s she’s going to go out for the night and forget evening. She needs to relax and that’s just the kind of night Beckett is also having. He just needs to forget the day. When they decided to have some fun no strings attached only know each others first names it’s seems like a fair game for a one time thing.
Well, that’s just what Hope thought until Beckett walked into her coffee shop and on the spot told her he can’t stop thinking about her and it’s now turned into “not a once” kinda thing.
He treats Hope like a princess and shows her what it really is like to be cared for. They start falling for each other until the day she walks into the office of the lawyers that are representing the person that is kicking her out of her home and coffee shop. She not only finds out Beckett is one of the partners, it’s her ex-loser of a boyfriend. She feels like she now has lost everything and Beckett is at a lost because he didn’t know either. While she fights with coming to terms of all these new development they decide to take a break while both are completely heartbroken over losing each other.
With her best friend Naomi at her side she tries to over come everything until one day she gets a message to meet at the lawyers.
This was a really good read and while it over fast (their relationship) I think that it makes the book and it shows why he does what he does for her. He’s never stopped caring for her and what he does to find out the truth proves that he isn’t the bad guy. There are some great laughs, key in Naomi and her hot temper showing up one day….. I recommend this book if you are looking for a quick read and I really hope Naomi gets her own book because that girl has spunk!

You've Been Served by Carina Rose is a charming and swoony romance that pulls you in from the very first page. The story centers around Hope Evans, the spirited owner of The Cozy Sip, whose life takes a dramatic turn when she’s served with an eviction notice that threatens both her business and her home. Enter Beckett Reed, an attorney at MRJ & Associates, whose unexpected one-night stand with Hope sets the stage for a whirlwind of emotional and professional complications.

Their initial chemistry is electric—fueled by sharp banter, a palpable connection, and a surprising depth of emotional growth. The romance is heartfelt without tipping into overly cheesy territory, and the stakes are high on both personal and professional fronts. The author's writing is warm and engaging, striking a lovely balance between humor and heartache. The reveal that Beckett’s firm is handling Hope’s eviction is timed perfectly, adding a layer of tension and emotional complexity that elevates the story.

Hope’s journey from heartbreak and uncertainty to empowerment and hope is deeply satisfying. Beckett, too, is more than just a romantic lead—his internal conflict and emotional vulnerability makes him a compelling counterpart. The supporting characters add warmth and humor, teasing future installments in the series and making you quietly root for their stories to unfold.

That said, the romance does feel a bit rushed for two strangers. Some emotional beats arrive too soon, making certain moments feel less earned. Additionally, given the high stakes—eviction, legal entanglements, and emotional vulnerability—the resolution wraps up a little too neatly. The legal conflict, in particular, could have been explored with more depth and tension to fully realize its potential.

Still, if you like heartfelt romance with a twist of legal drama and a generous splash of coffee shop charm, You've Been Served is a delightful read. It’s a story about resilience, unexpected love, and the kind of serendipity that only happens when life is at its messiest.

From page 1 you will fall in love with this book and won't be able to put it down(finished in 1 day🤩). This was the 1st book by this author and definitely won't be the last. A swoony small town romance with a small coffee shop owner and a local hotshot lawyer.

Hope Evans owns a small coffee shop called The Cozy Sip with her best friend and co owner when the previous owner decided to retire and move to Florida. When all of a sudden she receives a document saying she has been served, only to also find out the man she looked up to as family once her family passes away in a tragic accident that he also passed away. Hope and her best friend decided to go out one night to a new bar/club to blow off some steam after getting the notice and Beckett Reed catches Hope'a eye.

Beckett Reed a local hotshot lawyer that him and his 2 best friend's own and everyone in town goes to when they need one. Beckett decided to attend the opening night at his former client bar/club only to have a gorgeous woman sit next to him and they spark a conversation that turned into a 1 night stand.

Hope and Beckett will have you falling in love with them. This is definitely not as spicy as other books but the love and obstacles that they come across will keep you going. I hope this is only the beginning and cause we all need to know is Naomi (Hope's BF) and AJ ( another partner at the law firm) gonna fall in love! Only time will tell.

Thank you Carina Rose and author agency for the opportunity for this ARC read!

**Totally Swoon-Worthy!**

I just have to share how much I loved "You've Been Served." It’s a standalone story, but fingers crossed it becomes a series! The author creates such lovable characters, and the side characters are just as charming. Discovering a new author who can make me laugh throughout the whole story is such a treat, and this book definitely delivered with Beckett and Hope’s adventure!

The story starts with poor Hope having a bad day that just gets worse when she receives an eviction notice. To cheer her up, her best friend and business partner whisks her away for a fun night out, where she unexpectedly meets Beckett. They set out for a no-strings-attached evening, just focused on enjoying each other's company. Beckett, a high-powered attorney, is just like Hope, putting his career before relationships—but he can’t get her out of his mind.

When he goes after her, the chemistry between them is electric! Their playful banter had me giggling throughout the story. Even though they face some pretty big challenges and misunderstandings, they’re always there to support each other, which makes their happy ending all the more satisfying. I'm definitely adding this one to my reread list! 🌟

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This book drew me in from the beginning and kept me hooked until the end. I found myself giggling like a little girl a few times and swooning at Beckett more times than I could have imagined.

Poor Hope is down on her luck and decides a one-night stand may be just what she needs. She had no idea that one hookup would forever change her life. When she is served with papers to be evicted, she finds out Beckett is the lawyer behind the eviction. But, it appears opposites attract and their connection cannot be denied. Their chemistry had some oh so sexy scenes.

I was drawn into their story and when I found out who was evicting her, I was shocked! I did not see that coming at all.

Hope and Beckett are one of those couples who you can’t help but pull for to get their happy ending. It sure wasn’t easy but by the end, I hated to see their story end. This was just the feel-good kind of story I was looking for. I had been in a book slump and this was just what I needed. Carina has a way with words to keep you entranced in the story and I cannot wait to see what she comes up with next.

You’ve been served is a specular tale of opposites attract, rich and middle class and such. As a first time read of carina rose I didn’t know what to except and now I want to read more by this author. The Mcs are Beckett who family is wealth and he has a twin sister while is love interest is more middle
class Hope owns a bakery with her best friend Naomi. This fast read is a book I want to pick up again and reread. Beckett and Hope are the kind of characters that make a read she why love is worth it. Tropes that would interest readers are swoons but sweet romance, strangers to lovers, one night stand turns more, conflict on interest, he falls first, small town/big city and female business owner. Carina Rose does an incredible job of balancing the conflict that arise from Beckett being an attorney and Hope a business owner. The plot is intriguing and one must read to find out how tropes fit in. The character driven narrative is compelling as you understand the situation both are in. I highly recommend picking up and reading Carina Rose’s You’ve Been Served.

❤️Swoony but Sweet Closed Door

Coffee shop owner Hope Evans is having a bad day. The espresso machine is spraying milk everywhere, her BFF almost burns down the kitchen causing fire fighters to swarm the place and then she gets served with eviction papers through MRJ Associates. Which effects not only her business but her apartment upstairs. Needing a break, she goes to a club for a drink. There she meets Bennett Reed, who's had his own bad day. Not only did the lawyer fail to get a client, someone trashed his car. He came to the club opening to support his friend but also finds Hope. At least for the night. But when Bennett and Hope try for more, she finds out he's the R in MRJ Associates.

This was a sweet story but it did also make me cry in some parts. I loved seeing how the relationship between Hope and Bennett developed. Although I don't usually read closed door spice, I didn't mind that because of how well-written it was. If you are looking for a quick read that has heart, this is a good one.

I really enjoy Carina Rose's sweet and sassy romances and that is exactly what she gave me in You've Been Served.

I really liked Hope. She was gracious and kind and a hard worker. While she had been let down in love before she wasn't opposed to opening her heart...to the right guy. Who just so happened to worm himself into her orbit after a chance meeting that rocked his world.

I liked Beckett's pursuit. He made his intentions known but respected Hope's boundaries. He was the gentle nudge she needed to open herself up again. And the bright spot as her world was somewhat crumbling, courtesy of a sleazy ex. Ugh that guy was the definition of entitled slime ball who knew just how to play his cards to his advantage.

From the witty banter to fierce friendships to the sweet stolen moments, Hope and Beckett's journey made for just a fun summer read. And that ending...can you say a happy full circle? Fingers crossed the rest of the crew gets their stories told because there is for sure some potential there!

Coffee shop owner Hope Evans isn’t having the best of days, her espresso machine decides to spray milk everywhere, her bestie almost burns down the kitchen, queue fire fighters. And to top it off she’s served with eviction papers, threatening not only her business but her apartment upstairs too.

She decides a night out, and a drink is needed, so she heads to a club where she meets hotshot lawyer Beckett Reed. The pair go on to have a one night stand, however one night isn’t enough for Beckett, but there are obstacles ahead. Turns out Beckett’s the attorney overseeing the eviction.

Is there any hope of a future for these two with threat of Hope losing her coffee shop and home looming over them?

What was only supposed to be one night together turns into the sweetest journeys toward love.Beckett must save the day because he's not willing to lose Hope.

Beckett and Hope are so cute together, I thoroughly enjoyed their story and highly recommend it.

What a rare and wonderful read Carina Rose has provided us.
Hope is a small town coffee/bakery shop owner along with her best friend. She was not setting records but she was getting by and she was happy. Sadly her world comes crashing down when she receives an eviction notice. She decides that a night on a town and a one night stand would be the answer she needs to escape her problems even if it is just one night.
Beckett can not believe his luck when he meets Hope. She seems to call to him but she is only looking for one night of pleasure. He can't seem to forget her and manages to seek her out. What he doesn't know is that she is exactly what he needs and he is exactly what she needs!
So many Easter Eggs/Special appearances of characters from the past stories by Carina Rose in this book.
I was delighted with the sweet romance, the laughs and the tears. This story was old fashioned heartfelt love. I love closed door romance. It brings my heart joy and escape from the realities that we all face everyday.

You've Been Served is the book you required this summer, and you can discern that simply by reading the opening page.

A notice transforms her existence as Hope Evans, the proprietor of The Cozy Sip coffee shop, experiences her ideal life while doing what she enjoys alongside her closest friend. She understands she will go to great lengths to defend what is just, but for now, she must unwind, and one evening, she encounters Beckett Reed, altering everything.

Besides being a bachelor short on time for relationships, Beckett Reed is a partner at a highly successful law firm with his closest friends. That is, until he encounters Hope, who assists him in understanding that finding the right individual can lead you to reevaluate your beliefs.

Hope and Beckett share amazing chemistry across all aspects of their relationship, but when a misunderstanding threatens to derail everything, they must either stand their ground or walk away.

Upon reaching the phrase "The End," you'll smile, even though the whole Hope & Beckett tale will evoke both laughter and sighs simultaneously

Hope Evans is the owner of The Cozy Sip coffee shop after the previous owner had retired to Florida. Her best friend and business partner has told her she needs to have some fun, have a night where she lets loose. She does so and in turn meets Beckett Reed.

Beckett Reed is a managing partner in a successful law firm that he and his two his best friends started and run. His firm is highly successful and sought after by perspective clients. He also doesn’t do relationships, nor does he want to until one woman changes that for him… Hope Evans.

Hope and Beckett had a great chemistry. I absolutely loved Hope and Beckett's story however keep in mind this is not a spicy romance. If you are looking for something spicy this won’t be your jam. What I will say is this is a short, sweet, cinnamon roll hero romance that will be a nice palette cleanser to fit in between.

A great sweet story from Carina.

You've Been Served is as sweet and strong as the coffee I love to drink and Hope sells in her cozy little coffee shop. When she receives an eviction notice, her whole world goes sideways, her best friend and business partner does what best friends do and takes her out for a night to drink and dance her troubles away. Hope meets a guy who belongs on the Hallmark channel, Beckett Reed. They agree to one night but that might is so scorching it's burned into their memories and Beckett hasn't had enough. Their one night together turns into the sweetest journey to love. But that damn eviction notice threatens to ruin it all and Beckett must save the day because he's not willing to lose Hope.

This was the sweetest story and came together so easily. Despite the angst of the past (Hope's) and the threat of losing her future, losing hope was never an option! Sweet, "behind closed doors" romance.

You’ve Been Served is lawyer Beckett Reed and coffee shop owner Hope Evans entertaining and engaging story. I was captivated from the moment I picked this book up and there was no putting down until the final line was read.
Hope’s world is falling apart, an eviction notice has just arrived on her doorstep and she is about to lose her business and her home but Hope always looks on the bright side and convinced this is a big mistake she heads out for night out with her best friend to try and forget today’s horror show.
It was only meant to be a night of fun but Beckett wants more and it seems so does Hope but what happens when Hope finds out her boyfriend’s law firm is handling her eviction……….
I loved this book, I fell hard and fast for Beckett and I want Hope as my best friend. The chemistry is hot and the banter is witty but it was the laugh out loud moments that took this book to another level.

✨ Arc Review

Hope and Beckett might not have set my Kindle on fire, but they definitely made me smile like an idiot.

We’ve got:
☕ A coffee shop queen with sass.
📜 A tall (hello, 6'3") Italian attorney with a soft spot for cooking and courtroom roleplay in the kitchen
💔 A shady ex who deserves an espresso spilled on his lap.

While this one was a closed-door romance (sigh—I know, I know. No steam, just sparks), it was still a super sweet, low-angst love story with a plot twist that actually caught me off guard.

Final thoughts:
Great for when you need a wholesome break between your usual morally gray book boyfriends
But if you're here for the spice? Sorry babe, this one’s got the door locked
Still, Beckett's got major cinnamon roll energy... and honestly? Sometimes that’s the vibe

⭐ 3.5 / 5
spice: 1 / 5 (A kiss and some lawyerly tension, but that's it)

Wheewwwwwww, I personally love a insta love kind of romance! We have Hope and Beckett as our main characters. Hope owns a coffe shop and Beckett is a lawyer. Hope and Beckett have a ONS at a new club. Pretty much love and first sight for the both of them! Some drama unfolds with Hope coffee shop lease and somehow Beckett law firm gets tied into it! Lots of banter between Hope and Beckett! Beckett is very much a mature man and very much a “let me do that for you because I want to” type of man and I love that! Hope is very independent woman and I always appreciate a very independent female character! There is a miscommunication between the both of them so that causes problems but they eventually come back together!

I literally finished this book in one day because I couldn’t put it down!

Thank you to The Author Agency and Carina for the ARC! I absolutely loved it! 🩵

Carina has absolutely become one of my very favorite contemporary romance authors!!! I have to say that it’s been quite some time since I have pulled an all nighter, this emotional yet heartwarming story was the cause! That wasn’t even the craziest part- this one caused the tears to flow- a rare event for me! That scene in the shop with Beckett really pulled at my heartstrings!!!

The chemistry between Beckett and Hope was apparent from the start but when they fell, they fell hard and fast! This story was messy and complicated and the emotions were nothing less than explosive.

I loved all of the side characters too! Bethany was super sweet, Naomi was a little spitfire, and the boys were perfectly brawny. I sure hope we see more of them….do I foresee a match with Naomi and AJ???? There would be lots of banter there…..Just wondering🥰 I can’t wait for the next one to come!! Keep those books coming!

This book completely stole my heart. The chemistry between Hope and Beckett is otherworldly, the banter? Delicious. And the funny remarks? Chef’s kiss🤌🏻

It’s the perfect sweet and swoony summer read… especially if you love a closed-door romance that still delivers on tension and connection.

Beckett? An … absolute … dream💛

Hope 👀… I did get a little frustrated with you during the whole “misunderstanding” moment, but I kind of get it … even if I wanted to shake her!!

By the end, I was smiling throughout the whole story, this was warm, romantic, and just what I needed ☀️

Also… PLEASE tell me AJ and Liam are getting their own stories. I’m already obsessed. GIMME GIMME GIMME 🫣

You've Been Served is super sweet and a great palate cleanser between heavier reads. Carina Rose gives us two very endearing characters in Hope and Beckett and their one-night stand that turns into so much more is full of mirth with just enough heartache and hurt thrown in.

The coffee shop owner and the high-powered lawyer fall hard and fast and any issues with trust later on in the book are thankfully dealt with quickly. Hope's impending eviction is a key component of the story and I was glad that in the end, Beckett proved himself to be not only a wonderful boyfriend but a very savvy attorney when it mattered most.

With great secondary characters who deserve their own time in the sun, You've Been Served is hopefully the start of a new series by this talented author.

3.5 stars.
