On discovering that they shared a passion for erotic fiction, they became the best of friends. In early 2012 they got a chance to co-write a series of erotic novellas for an American publisher. When they completed the second one without killing each other, they decided to take on something bigger. Eventually, they emerged into daylight, clutching THE PLEASURES OF WINTER, saying 'Never again' ... until the next time.

Thank you to the author Evie Hunter and the publishers Boldwood Books for allowing me to access an e-read ARC of this book.
I was disappointed to realise that this was book two of the Frenchurch Falls series. Having not read the first and the characters referring to things that had happened in the past, I worried I wouldn't be able to keep up. However, it wasn't too hard to pick up a rough idea of what had previously gone on. I will be looking to go back and read book one, though, as this is a series that really got my interest. Bringing to mind authors such as Jessie Keane and Kimberly Chambers, both of whom I've loved reading.
Evie Huter has ticked all the boxes with this thrilling story where crime gangs headed by Renfrew and O'Keefe are in the middle of pulling off something big, however with both bosses on the missing list, and with others sniffing around ready to take over, the wives are left to find out whats going on. Packed with criminal enterprises, dodgy dealings, pay-offs, affairs, murders, secrets, and lies, this is a series definitely worth checking out!
