She thought her birthday would bring cake.
Instead, it brought claws.

Zoe Raymond was a museum curator with a passion for ancient wolf totems and a tendency to break out in hives under fluorescent lighting. But on the morning she turned twenty-five, her fingertips became claws, her molars sharpened into fangs — and a primal growl she couldn't control nearly got her arrested. Again.

Enter Logan Cross. Silvercrest’s most feared enforcer. Deadly. Cold. Off-limits. And now the only man standing between Zoe and a kill order from the High Council.

The problem? The second he touches her, the mate bond slams into place. And Logan - disciplined, brutal Logan - starts breaking rules.

They should run. They should hide.

Instead, they go to war.

Because the prophecy isn’t just real. It’s burning in her veins. And the woman Logan was sent to extract might be the key to destroying the Council, healing generations of bloodline secrets, and reuniting a world torn in two.

They tried to cage her magic. But they forgot one thing…

She bites back.

Read on for fated mates, prophecy-fueled rebellion, bloodline magic, and the most lethal alpha in the territory falling hard for the hybrid he was hired to kill. HEA Guaranteed!

4.5⭐️

I’ve always been drawn to supernatural stories and shifters are definitely part of that fascination. The whole fated mates idea usually feels a bit too much for me when it’s written about humans, but with wolves and hybrids it suddenly makes sense. I can’t explain why, but it works and here it worked really well.

What I enjoyed most about Marked for a Bite was the way the mate bond between Zoe and Logan was described. It felt like lightning striking, unstoppable and primal, but at the same time it carried a certain tenderness that softened all his edges. That balance between feral and vulnerable made the romance feel magical and it reminded me of the same atmosphere I loved in The Originals.

The only thing that held me back from giving this book a full five stars was the timeline. Everything happens in just a few days, and I found myself wishing the story had more space to unfold. I would have loved a longer book, with more details, more adventures, and more time to see Zoe and Logan grow into their bond and the rebellion they are clearly stepping into. Their story really deserved that.

Still, by the end I was fully invested. I liked the prophecy thread, the fight against the Council and the way Zoe embraced her identity as a hybrid. The mix of action, danger and romance kept me hooked and even if I wanted more depth and pages, I closed the book thinking how much I enjoyed it.

Marked for a Bite is fast, intense and addictive and it left me curious to see where the prophecy will lead next.

Thank you to the author for the ARC. This review reflects my honest thoughts.

Second cook in series, wonderful characters and splendid witing that kept me riveted throughout
Zoe Raymond is a curator in a museum and she has a real passion for anything that represents magic, totems that are about wolves it all greatly interests her. Then as she turns of her twenty fifth birthday, she is suddenly aware that she has become sensitive to fluorescent lights and also even more strangely has started to grow claws where her fingertips were.
Then she meets Logan Cross, he is Silvercrest’s enforcer and is well known for being very thorough in his position as an enforcer. He is a deadly individual that is extremely good at every job he undertakes on behalf of his High Council.
However, the moment that he lays his hands on her he realises that she is his fated mate and this simply is an order that he cannot carry out. He knows that they should simply run and hide but he knows the prophecy is not real.
In fact, the woman he has been sent to destroy is not only Logans mate but is also most likely able to prove the bloodline secrets can be healed by reuniting bloodlines but only time will tell and they have to remain alive long enough to prove it.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.

oe is a museum curator who is not aware of her heritage but his about to find out in a very violent way when a man says things about the Northwestern territory and wolves in the area she has spent so many years studying and the way he talked.down about the exhibit that she attacked him it scared her because she felt something strange come over her and she saw her nails grew out like claws which scared her to death and she lasses out. It happens to be her twenty fifth birthday.
Logan is a pack enforcer. to the Silvercrest pack and he is asked to kill a human by the Council but he refuses. His alpha asks him to. rescue a young women who doesn't know her heritage but is in serious danger because Logan is aware who she is and her picture strikes a cord in him, especially when he gets to her apartment and touches her, he knows she's the one. An awesome storyline, and the characters are strong and keep the story entertaining and intriguing . I read a copy without obligation. I volunteered an honest review.

From the moment she wakes up on the day of her 25th birthday, everything seemed off. When she sprouts claws (again) and goes after an obnoxious art critic who dissed her newest exhibit and life's work, she knows she is going crazy. Next, a lethal looking man breaks into her home and tells her she is coming with him if she wants to find out what is happening to her, and if she wants to stay alive. Before they can make their exit, armed men break in and force her to jump out a window to escape. Happy birthday, Zoe. Sheesh. Something inside her tells her she is safest with Jordan, that he is her mate... whatever that means.

The hits will keep on coming, so don't miss this one. Zoe will find out that everything in her life has led up to this moment and this man. I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.

The second part of the prophecy tells of a hybrid whose connection to her mate spans lifetimes, the strongest power couple…Magical, hidden abilities…and connection that paid the ultimate sacrifice.

On the morning of her 25th birthday, Zoe felt like a normal museum curator. But when a critic became too harsh in his opinion of her carefully constructed exhibit on Pacific Northwest culture, fangs and claws flew.

What followed was a great story, of the reconnection of Zoe and Logan as fated mates. Of learning, as she relearned skills honed in battle over lifetimes. Of healing and of revenge.

I read books 2 and 3 in this series out of order - and enjoyed filling in the missing pieces of this book. I can’t wait to read the 4th in the series and see the whole prophecy come together.

Logan & Zoe

Happy Birthday? She had an important presentation at work. She had a letter from her deceased mother not to open until today. When harassed by one of the people at the meeting, something happened that was the beginning of a complete life change for Zoe.

Logan entered her life and took her to his cabin in the forest. There are dangers, surprises, and a life she knew nothing about. Logan is surprised as well, as the job included her, and his life is to change as well. She was strong and independent after their first meeting.

An engaging story with revealing surprises after surprises.
