More of the same as the first book. I don't know if I'll continue on with the series tbh. It's kind of interesting but also bland and generic. It's a cozy and you don't have to think much when reading.
The shotacon thing is getting old and a bit creepy, but i guess people don't care cuz it's a woman doing it to little boys. I wish it was more of a "oh she finds kids cute" and not the implication the word shotacon carries with it. Don't get me wrong MC DOES NOT sexualize the boys, it's just a bit weird for my taste.
ended up overall enjoying it. it's not reinventing the wheel. Just solid filler I wouldn't reread but didn't hate.
The young boy thing is weird and still in the story. Slightly less in places and slightly more in others. It's not sexual but it's still weird weird weird. And honestly I skim that part just partly cut it out of my mind like it doesn't exist.
Dislike royal family though.
Here's the thing if your in a new world. Tread lightly cos you have no idea if you get a second life. So, they played it for the most part smart. Which low bar is all I'm asking.
My only complaint, and which made reading hard, was that she never considers saying "no." Yes she has responsibilities, but she is aware enough that should she could speak her mind a bit more freely even if it brings some trouble, sometimes the tradeoff would be worth it yet she abides by rules and customs she has yet to learn. Being the Princess's maid would at least give her enough room to ask for lessons in what should be common sense for her and the position, but it doesn't seem like she ever considered asking.
Entertaining enough cosy slice-of-life of a young noble lady in fantasy high school story getting involved a bit with politics while trying to remedy her family's dire financial situation. It comes with its eyeroll moments when the MC turns her thoughts to her little brothers, but for the genre it is fairly tame.
