I was born into blood and chaos. It raged inside of me, bleeding on everything around me after my parents' death. The Marino family took me in as a young boy. They were a powerful family that tried to save me, but I was too far gone—until Cosima came along.
Even as a young boy, I knew she was different. I gave her my heart when we were kids, and it has always belonged to her, the girl who could cool the monster inside of me that was always fighting to get out.
As we grew older, the feelings I had for her changed. They became deeper and more obsessive. A new battle rose up inside of me, one no one could contain, not even my sweet innocent Cosima, so she ran.
I was shaped by the devil himself, and even though I would never be worthy of her, that didn’t mean I would ever allow anyone else to have her… or the secret baby growing inside her. That was mine too.
Little did she know there was no escaping me. No one could keep her from me, not her family, not her, or the man she was being forced to marry. I did what I had to.
Cosima belongs to me, and it's time the world knows.
This is the second book in the A New Reign series. No cheating, no OW drama, and an HEA is always guaranteed! Each will be standalone
Good but not as good as the first book. Still OTT JP Stalker Possesive Will do anything for her H ♥️Duel Virgins!!! Her brother … kinda he isn’t related by blood but grew up w her and was adopted by her parents
This was sweet and cute and fun but I didn’t love the h as much or the dynamic as much as the first book.
Plus the h have in way to easy after he took her V and left for weeks! Total Misunderstanding but she didn’t know that. She thought he treated her like crap. Like she was really hurt and he didn’t even have to explain himself before she jumped into bed w him. Really bothered me. Like have some self respect and get answers at least.
DUAL VIRGINS! FIRST, LAST AND ONLY EVERYTHING!! *booty shake! happy dance! booty shake!!*
Quote, She’s mine. She gave her innocence to me, and I gave mine to her. end quote.
Quote, I cup the back of her neck. "You do. I wouldn't want it any other way." I press a kiss to her lips. "I don't know when it fully flipped, but you have always been my person. There was never and will never be anyone else." I’ve never spoken truer words. She is my life. “I don’t know.” Her brows pull together, and she shifts on my lap. I can sense her pulling back from me. “Talk to me.” “That was all really sweet; it’s just…” She lets out a long, deep breath, and I know whatever she is about to say has been weighing on her. "If it was always me and never anyone else, then—" Cosima pauses. I wait. I'll do it all day if I have to. "Then you weren't with other people. Dating or whatever you call it." She glances down. "What makes you think I have been?" “I just figured.” “No, Cosima. Never,” I reassure her. I can be overbearing when it comes to her, but I’m not a dumbass. I’m not a hypocrite. I would have to have had some audacity to scare boys away from her while I was fucking random girls. Being with anyone else has never even been a thought. Cosima has and always will be it for me. “Really?” She playfully eyes me, but I see right through it. This has been on her mind, and I hate that. It would kill me to think of her with anyone, and here she is thinking I might have been at some point. Fuck that. I grip her chin, getting closer to her so she can see right into my eyes. “Never. Nothing. No one else. Got it?” "Yeah." end quote.
Safe No cheating No OW Unwanted OM (man from another mafia family who wants Cosima's hand in marriage but she only has eyes for her Z) Short separation of 1 week No gross condom use No stupid third act break up Mafia romance done right HEA
I was not surprised that I would love this novel because I knew it would be first timers and I knew it would be safe. What I was surprised by was that I relished the story despite the premise based on the dynamic we saw between Z and Cosima in the first book when they were first introduced. They did nothing but argue and bicker in "Vow Of Obsession", plus I thought he would regret sleeping with Cosima at the start of this book, but thankfully he didn't regret it at all! I loved the book! Lucy Darling did such a good job with the crux of the story being a misunderstanding, unveiling a very passionate relationship between these two soul mates. THIS book, this series so far is mafia romance done right! The story is quite simple. We start off with Z; our big, handsome, muscly hacker, is sloshed with booze stumbling, looking for Cosima, wanting to be near her after the events of the first book (I highly recommend the first book). She goes to his room and they share all their firsts. The only thing is he was so drunk he thought it was one of his many dreams of making love with the only woman that has ever made his body feel the heat of lust. To her it was everything she wanted from Z, finally after all these years. She goes up to bring him breakfast in bed, but finds him gone. He is on his bike to go complete a week long job out of state. He leaves a note saying "Sorry" before leaving which breaks Cosima's heart. Worry not!! He meant he was sorry for yelling at her the night before, but she doesn't know that as she thought he was awake and lucid when they had sex for the first time. As a result, she packs up, calls Marks (I cannot wait for her and Roman's story), and they leave for Italy. Little does Cosima know that Z knows where she is, as he is quite the efficient stalker for quite a long time, and his possessiveness of her makes him a proficient hunter. He always has eyes on her because she is his one and only reason to live. This is just the beginning and sequences of events unfold which had me reading with fervor. Z is an obsessed, possessive, dominant, intense, mad with love, sweet, devoted, faithful and devastatingly sexy only for his Cosima. His intensity with her as he gazes in her eyes, cups her neck to pull her in for a kiss, was memorable and his way with her in and out of the bedroom made my cheeks blush. Since they were kids, they were always close like kindred spirits. They are real soul mates that needed to be emboldened to finally satiate the love that has morphed from innocent to romantic, it just took some time to get there. They never felt satiated because they couldn't get enough of each other, which brought a smile on my face as I internally cheered them on. Once that passion was unleashed, if he wasn't with her, he was chasing her which our savy, sassy, Cosima enjoyed. Cosima is very much a mafia princess girly girl, who can be a bit of a brat, which Z loves, but it is only to put up a strong front. Make no mistake, she is strong as well as assertive; she is also loyal, sweet, faithful, and she handles herself with grace. As we saw in the first book, she can be dangerous with a blade if it means her loved ones are threatened. She is also very emotional, and feels things deeply, which is why the exchange when Z clears the air, was a balm of healing she needed. The sex was explosive between these two firecrackers, and the love between them fervent, deeply moving me. These two are built to last several lifetimes. I will always sing the praises of first timers couples, because it is the heartbeat of romance for me. Without our couple being each others first, last and only, it would be a flat line you try to fix with a defibrillator, but to no avail. The fact that these two love birds were so intertwined since they were kids, and how they shaped each others lives, the way they saved themselves only for each other, having never felt a pull, not even a brief attraction for anyone other than each other is a heartbeat so strong it can outlive anything and everything! She is his Goddess who has him wrapped around her little pinky and he her ultimate protector, who would burn the world just for her. There is a scene which displays him in full beast mode unleashing his fury and oh, the 'dinner and a show' scene in the last part of the book was epic and unforgettable! I need to mention the sisterhood between Cosima, Marks and Tova. It was so sweet and heartwarming to see the strong bond and funny banter between them. Now I cannot wait for Marks to finally join her two friends who feel more like sisters. They are a good example of strong friendship. War, Z and Ronan have a deeper bond between them, but their devotion belong entirely to their repective goddess, their queen. War with Tova whom he idolizes (still my favorite couple), Z with Cosima, a love akin to a blazing tornado, and now I am rubbing my hands in anticipation for Roman and Marks story next! Roman is the silent enforcer who is very perceptive, and Marks is a sneaky Houdini, so their dynamic is already intriguing! Of course I am crossing fingers and toes that it's a dual virgin romance gifting us with another all first timers, one and only couple. I trust that Lucy Darling has embraced the trope, so I cannot wait! I highly recommend it and urge you to read it as well as "Vow of Obsession". I will be rereading "Vow of Obsession" again tonight, as I need to relive Tova's love story with War. War is still my favorite! Happy reading everyone!
High hopes for the perfectly set up tabooish forbidden love trope BUT the story was too long winded & the fmc annoying!
Cosima & Z were raised as siblings but developed romantic feelings while growing up……apparently she calmed him when he first held her as a toddler & I’m not sure how to feel about it 👀 Anyway, he gets her pregnant in a dreamkind of and then chases her down uncontrollably. Irrational possessiveness, bratty behavior & spankings.
The story really lost its momentum when the first chapters were simply recapping the first book in the series. So much fluff without substance & I think that took the attention away from further character development. WHAT A WASTE of the pregnancy trope!!!!
Cosima’s character was especially bratty, which worked for their slight dom/sub dynamic. However, as the story went on she just ended up being annoying and quite shallow. I didn’t DNF so I count it as a win I guess.
grumpy x sunshine ott posessive and jealous mmc dual virgins super girly fmc spankings pregnancy HEA
If you thought that War was possessive You haven't seen Z at work yet. Oh how obsessed and devoted to Cosima that man is. I could only imagine that Ronan's book is going to be more unhinged.
Friends to lovers forbidden romance between the avoidant hero and determined heroine. Maybe it was the animated cover that distracted me as it didn’t meet the vibe of the book, or the fact that their first sexual encounter was when the hero was drunk and asleep.. I struggled to like it.
dnf 30% ig this series is just not working for me, bummer since it's all virgin mmcs. but the writing, characters, the dynamics didn't work for me and the weird age gaps with no ages specified felt a little too groomy and predatory for my liking.
“If he ever touches her again, he’ll be a dead man walking,” Z warns.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHJDFHJHGJSHDGSHGBRUGBFHJGBSHFGBFSHGB 🫨🤭😛😍🫠 touch her and die at its finest
i can't get over the obsession and protectiveness this series has, it's top tier! and what's even better is that it comes from both MCs. they are both so obsessed with each other i am jealousssss 😩
i just love how i randomly found this author and this series has already become one of my favs. it's so crazy how the most perfect series for me just randomly came along like that, i'm in love and so thankful!!
i only have one book left in the series and i'm so sad, once i start getting to the end i'm finding myself not wanting to finish it because i can't bare it to end 🥲 but then again, how can i not finish this amazing series. UGH it's a struggle
marks and ronan so far how been super mysterious and i'm so excited to see where their story goes. ronan is so silent but i know deep down that man is obsessed!!! 😈 i'm foaming at the mouth to see how it's going to go down.
what to expect in this: 🎀 surprise pregnancy (he baby traps her 🫢 but they both wanted it LMAO) 🎀 he stalks and obsesses the abolsute hell out of her like yall be prepared that man is DEDICATED (but what's surprisingly is that he's not controlling and doesn't do anything she doesn't like, you just have to read to see what i mean) 🎀 virgins MCs 🎀 mafia 🎀 badass fmc!!! 🎀 dark romance but healthy relationship 🎀 miscommunication but not in an annoying way!! (they clear it up because they know how to communicate) 🎀 precious side characters
Tropes - mafia? - novella - age gap - secret marriage - Virgin f - insta love - stalking
Cosima and Z know each since childhood. Z was adopted by Cosima’s parents and despite at the beginning they were really close, Z started to be cold with because of the age gap and the relationship with her family. They had one night stand but Z was drunk so he couldn’t remember what happen, after realizing it wasn’t a dream, he look for her and finally accept their feelings. There’s some drama with her family and an arrange marriage that they we’re looking for with OM.
Cosima has loved Z since she knew what love was but thinks he’s overbearing and controlling and hates her. But Z has loved her forever. They finally get their chance to be together but there are those who want to stop them. Z will burn the world down before he lets anyone take his Cosima away. Loved this fast steamy action packed story. Well written excellent story.
So happy to be back with the Marino family! I definitely saw this couple coming. The sparks flying off them were crazy. I’m so glad they finally figured it out. Of course it wasn’t that simple and there were some surprises along the way. Short, sweet and steamy! And now I’m excited for Ronan’s story.
We are back with the Marino family and now we get Cosimas and Z's HEA. After Z's parents were killed Z lived with the Marino family as their son. Cosima and Z were always close growing up, but the last few years changed their relationship. Z always knew that Cosima would be His and nothing and nobody could stop him from keeping her safe and happy. Cosima loved Z since she knew what that is, but she thought Z wouldn't feel the same. Now they finally get their chance of being together , but what will their family think about it and what happens when someone threatens their future? Z goes ballistic for his woman😏 They were their first and last love, instant obsession, J/P obsessed hero, stalker romance, hacker for a Mafia family, sweet, romantic, fun to read, steamy and totally safe (dual virgins-were their first everything ❤️) with an awesome HEA 😍😍😍😍😍 Can't wait for the last Marino brother to find his HEA with Marks perhaps?😄
Honor and Claim is definitely going in my top 5 books from Lucy Darling. I enjoyed this book immensely, along with the first book in the series. I'm not sure why someone would give a 1 star and not explain why. If there was something about it that they didn't like, at least give an explanation. If it's not their cup of tea, don't just give a 1 star and leave it at that. That's not fair to the readers and it's definitely not fair to the author. It brings the overall rating down with no reason given and it doesn't give the author a chance to review what people like or don't like about the book and that's just not cool. Anyway, if you love Lucy Darling books as much as I do, I really don't think you'll be disappointed. I received an advanced copy of this lovely book and can't wait for more. Cosima and Z were absolutely adorable together. Another bravo to this lovely author on another job so very well done. -No cheating -H & h has known each other all their lives pretty much. -No violence or abuse towards h or H. -Kind of a secret baby for like a minute. -Definite re-read for me
2.5 rounded for a hot minute i forgot that Z wasn't their blood related brother and was so confused on why the author decided to go for the incest route 😭😭 i was sleep deprived.
anyways this had the exact same formula as book1 , i enjoyed the fmc alot more than the 1st, though but Z wasn't my favorite. he felt a little weak, too hesitant to be with Cosima.

I’m a huge fan when it comes to reading Lucy Darling, her shorter novels are a great palette cleanser when I need a break in between books to reset.
The fact that A New Reign series is a proper trilogy of stories with 200+ pages has never made me more happier & when I read Vows of Obsession i was utterly hooked on Tova & Wars love story and the way it flowed together, thats why I was so excited to start on Honor & Claim!
However, Cosima & Z’s story has really fallen short. The pace of this story felt like it was meant to be one of Lucy Darlings shorter books, the character development & relationship between Cosima & Z was very two dimensional. The struggle & tension that was hinted at in the first book was non-existent in their story, the issue of “being siblings” seemed to disappear almost immediately on the first page & the fact that they slept together within the first 2 chapters (Z being so drunk he thought it was a dream) still had me questioning why it needed to happen so soon.
Honestly I’m the furthest from a prude but with all the hinting in the first book about the two of them not wanting to go at it because they were worried about how the parents would think & all this taboo shit, to only then fuck in the first two chapters with no lead up to it just made no sense to me.
I know this book is meant to continue directly off where the first book ended but cmon, no resolution to their issue was even made, it’s like it never existed to begin with.
Anyway I will still be reading the final book Finders Keep Her to see how Marks & Ronan’s story goes & I’m hoping it follows the same pace as Vow of Obsession.

I am all excited for this series of novels set around a mafia family, and so far this second book about Z and Cosima is even better because it's building things. Not only is it fun and provocative, but it takes things down a darker and more sensual path.
The forbidden relationship takes a turn to a naughty fantasy that has consequences. I loved the misunderstanding, the many scenarios that keep things lively, the crazy obsession of a man who will burn the world for his woman.
I'm really keen on the level of intrigue that the story carries. There are snippets all throughout but it's in the climax where all explodes in a really ingenious way. Loved it! I also enjoyed seeing all the other characters in action. There's comedy, cuddling, girly time and a good combination of smitten stalking, mafia dynamics and unconditional love.
So looking forward to the next novel in the series about the remaining brother!
Another sweet, cozy, insta-love, mafia read from Lucy with an over-the-top, possessive, protective MMC! I am really enjoying this series.

Cosima’s parents adopted Z when he was young, so he’s sort of like a brother to her, but not exactly. They were very close growing up—he always looked out for her and protected her. Now that they’re older, these two can no longer deny their feelings for each other. I also loved that they were both virgins; he never wanted anyone else but Cosima.
𝐅--𝐤, 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝. 𝐈'𝐥𝐥 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡.
Although Vow of Obsession is still my favorite in this series—let’s face it, I don’t know if anyone can top War and Tova—I’m excited to continue with the series and read Finders Keep Her.
I don't tolerate women like this in real life so it really chaps my ass to have to read a FMC written like this. She's totally spineless and unprincipled as a woman. The sass just made my eyes roll because she's so unlikeable.
He sucks too. Zero grovel and she has body betraying syndrome. Too stupid to like.
⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️ Dual V Childhood loves Accidental pregnancy Miscommunication --> separation 1 week No OWD/OMD/Sharing/Cheating HEA-I don't even care because she made me want to hit her so many times in the story
1🌟This is my very first 1star on a Lucy Darling anything and it really sucks bc she's one of my favorite comfort writers. They are the deeply unlikeable couple that everyone tolerates but everyone wishes would just grow the hell up but instead they have a baby together. 🙄
3.75 This was a fun read, but it needed more tension. When the book starts with the two MCs already in love, there needs to be tension elsewhere—usually, it’s that they don’t believe the other loves them or they don’t tell each other. Here, they’re in love immediately, they tell each other pretty quickly, so then you would think the source of tension would be their family’s disapproval since they were raised as siblings. Nope. No one cares about that. So there’s just…no tension. There are problems to be solved, but nothing that really drives the narrative forward. Still a good read, but needs a little more conflict.

I love a dark romance with passion, obsession, and a hero who would do anything for the woman he loves, this is a story I won’t forget. It leaves you completely hooked and emotionally invested from start to finish. This story is dark, intense, and completely gripping. From the very first page, the emotional connection between the characters pulls you in. The story hits hard with high stakes, deep emotions, and a tension that keeps you on edge, but it also balances moments of vulnerability that make the characters feel real and human. I really love obsessive and unhinged hero. A must read!
While I loved Tova and Warren more, I do think Z and Cosima were okay. While I was reading "Vow of Obsession" and noticed the dynamic between the two I originally thought it was going to actually be an incest book and wondered how kindle unlimited got it. However, they aren't actually related. Anyways. I think its fun that the spin off series, "Kings & Queens Will Rise" being about their kids is the move. (see review on B1). Z and Cosima are fire. There's miscommunication, a paranoid-need-to-protect-she's-my-everything MMC, a flitty FMC, and great side characters. I feel like if Z and Cosima had more of a backstory, or, there was more groveling from Z, this book may have been slightly better. 3.8/5.
