After retrieving a Philosopher’s Stone from the Sage Alice and collecting three more from Shigeto, Yogiri and his growing entourage finally make plans to put the events of Ent behind them and head for the continent in the East. Despite further setbacks, they manage to find a way off the island with the aid of the self-proclaimed goddess Hiruko. But it’s no easy task locating the next Sage on their list, and they discover that even getting into this new territory might be trickier than they first thought. Meanwhile, an ancient goddess awakens in the ruins of Ent’s capital and swears to take revenge on the world that dared to imprison her by exterminating all life, one person at a time.
Putting the light back in light novel. This barely felt like it has started before it ended. I wish I had held off reading it for longer cause I want the next volume now.
This volume felt more like filler, just setting things up for the next volume. In the same way that the second book of a trilogy often ends up. It was still enjoyable if you like this series, but you spend the whole time waiting for UEG to meet Yogiri and just see a bunch of near misses happening. I got through this volume much quicker than the others because I skimmed a lot of parts. There are a lot of pov switches to other characters.
