What a ride!!!
I received an Advanced reader copy of Amore Espresso and I am so glad I did! I genuinely loved this book from the first few pages. Frankie and Luca are deliciously juicy characters with complex back stories, intriguing personalities and their own sense of style. Set in the beautiful backdrop of Bormio, a part of Italy I have never been to, it made for addictive reading. With a consistent focus on equity both characters showed strengths and vulnerabilities in many different ways. Dramatic storylines and beautiful sensual connections kept me very engaged! Congratulations Dora Porcaro. I can’t wait for the next book!

I was looking for something fun, easy and engaging to read and Amore Espresso absolutely fit the bill. To begin with, Dora wrote about the town like it was a character and I felt like I could smell the food and coffee. Francesca - mwah! - I fell in love , not just because she was well-written, but because I instantly related to her, having taken myself off to a foreign land in my younger years, having to make new friends and build new 'family' connections. I could feel her excitement, fear, and joy as if it were my own back then. This book was an absolute pleasure to read and I am looking forwad to Book 2 in the series.

Full of Heart, Soul and Spice!

I reach for this genre when I need something light and easy and some escapism. But I like my romance with a side of substance, real characters and fleshed out storylines, and if there's some steamy intimacy - well, bonus! Amore Espresso did not disappoint, in fact it had all this and more, in spades. I fell in love with this town, the people, the love story. I felt instantly attached to Francesca and her insta-family in Bormio. I desperately want to fly in and drink espresso with them all! The romance was not just between two people, it was everywhere - a love letter to friendship and found homes.

Dora Porcaro's writing reverberates off the page. Full of character, substance, heart and soul. I can't wait for the next book!

Luca and Francesca are gorgeous.
She’s halfway across the world after her divorce, and she’s trying for a new beginning away from her toxic ex and father.
He’s being volunteered to pick her up, and after a funny meet-cute, they alternate between nope and DTF.
Luca has had his world turned upside down, and I love the changes in him. He was an arrogant a-z at times, but he wa also vulnerable, hurt and feeling very betrayed and disillusioned… I love that Frankie was the one to help him…

Frankie’s horrible ex… well, he’s trouble. But Luca does an amazing job of erasing him… (not literally, it’s not that kind of book!)

I enjoyed the humour. Some of it was understated, but then there moments of comedy gold.

“Since when do you get to decide what I’m feeling?”
“Since this isn’t some kind of insta-love romance novel, Big Guy.”
“You’re insufferable, woman. I tell you I love you, and you spit objections at me.”

This was wonderfully funny, emotional, steamy and a downright gorgeous read. I love the world that Dora Porcaro has built, and I’m enjoying seeing their romances unfold.

A new to me Australian Author comes in hard with a fantastic book.
This book has so many positives I don't know where to start; beautiful setting, vibrant and engaging characters, humour, found family, suspense, swoony romance, he falls first and hard, she's rebuilding her life and trying to be strong and independent, abusive ex, and Italian phrases.
One of the things I enjoyed the most was a truly Aussie heroine that, thought like and Aussie and acted like an Aussie. So many times when I'm reading a romance by an American author I will experience some disjoint based on the FMC's actions, so this was really refreshing. Don't get me wrong - Francesca still frustrated me at times (girl, why aren't you jumping on the hot sexy Italian billionaire?) but she felt more real to me. Luca was a fabulous MMC that was totally swoony and the whole Italian aspect took it to another level. A brilliant read from a new author and I will definitely be reading the next in the series.

Amore Espresso is the start of The Amore Series from Dora Porcaro and centers on Luca and Francesca’s story.

Francesa is looking for a fresh start in Bormio to build her business after leaving Australia. Upon arrival to the Italian Alps, she meets Luca., who is focused on supporting his family and their business.

I enjoyed getting to know the characters and their stories and growth over the course of the novel. I enjoyed how character driven the book is, showcasing both Francesa and Luca’s complexities and humanity.

I also enjoyed the descriptive prose about the setting and felt like I was in the Italian Alps!

I recommend this book to readers who enjoy slow-burn, small town, enemies to lovers, and found family romance stories.

A great story about an Australian woman of Italian descent returning to Italy to start a new life. Lots of good story, some intrigue and a bit of suspense. Yes it's one of those "fall for the rich guy" stories, but it was lovely to read about the beautiful area it was set in, loving family, triumph over bad, and great spice. I really enjoyed it.
