Damon Park is officially benched.
After a crushing career setback overseas, he’s back in NYC licking his wounds and watching his brothers live their happily-ever-afters. His comeback plan is

Find an apartment. Get a job coaching high school basketball. Climb his way up to the big leagues. Love? That’s a hard pass, at least until he’s got his life together.

Kendra Gray is done playing nice.
Fresh off a headline-making divorce, she’s ready for the next phase of her career as a plus-size supermodel… and to indulge in a little no-strings-attached fun. What she’s not ready for is a brooding ex-athlete with a protective streak and a heart way too tempting for her own good.

When Damon and Kendra meet at one of her last big runway shows, the chemistry is instant—and inconvenient. He thinks she’s out of his league. She thinks he’s too serious. They agree to keep things platonic… until late-night texts, and “just friends” starts to feel a lot like fate.

He’s rebuilding. She’s redefining. Ready or not, this just might be love.

Ready Or Not 📸
Firstly,I want to thank LoveNotes PR & Katherine E.Webb for trusting me with this ARC!
Damon's brothers all have their happily ever afters. But what about him?
Kendra is a supermodel, who just have the public divorce of the year.Tired of the strings that relationships have attached to her,she is ready for some fun.
Friends right?Let's ask fate again.

Ready or Not had SUCH AN ENERGY since the start.I have always talked about vibes, but this story gave me something stronger than that. As I read that not only this made me fall in love with the story even more& but I was also unable to stop reading.
Getting into the plot, our man,Damon,is obsessed long before they see each other for the first time & IT SHOWS.However, when he finally sees the godness that we have for fmc,he literally loses all his words. To be honest I would probably too.
Kendra is the hottest & sassiest main character I have read this year, with me having just one thing to say:GO QUEEN.✨
You really cannot understand how much I am cheering for this girl!
To continue, their romance was messy, since we have an interesting human relationship that constantly chages form going on,but their 🌶️was always on the peak, apart from what their were thinking outside of that.
Lastly,I have to say there is DRAMA in here.I mean celebrities ,you know!
Out on Nov 28th
5⭐

Personally I really loved it & undeniably had the best time!

Damon is now my favorite Park Brother. I thought his infatuation with Kendra way before they actually met was endearing. Their chemistry and banter was well written and even frustrating when their miscommunication trope took off. I liked that they both came into this romance as fully fleshed characters with different background plots that ended up converging perfectly.

Thank you to Lovenotes.Pr and Katherine Webb for the Arf of this novel!

I haven't yet read the other books to this series, but that didn't leave me hanging. I loved both POVs from these characters. The spice was the right level, banter was amazing, and I found myself wishing I hadn't reached the end.

I was given this book to participate in an ARC review and all thoughts are my own. This is my first book from this author and I also hadn't read the first 3 books in the series prior to reading this book. It didn't affect the read at all and I am so thankful for this opportunity.

This was the cutest book about two people at a turning point in their lives. Damon is transitioning from being a professional basketball player overseas to a highschool basketball coach. Retirement has been a big adjustment as he moves back to NYC to be near his family. When he first gets to NYC since leaving Spain he meets the woman of his dreams, Kendra, a supermodel who is recently divorced from her POS ex who is a famous R&B singer. Both of them have so much to work on but after months of moving in the same social circles, they find themselves working through a friendship that feels like it could be more.

This was a short romance story that was full of banter, some spice and lots of wisdom. I love the body positivity and perspective that Katherine gave us as she wrote about big issues happening in the world. There were some moments where slang came up and my initial response was "meh" but immediately followed up with a laugh as the characters made light of the moment. The spicy moments were pretty short lived but they were still impactful. I think "domme" was a stretch but I liked that the characters were living in the moment and made each other feel safe to explore. Overall, the book and characters were relatable and it felt real. I am going to start at the beginning now and I am looking forward to Noah's story.

*ARC Review* Ready or Not is the fourth entry in the Park Brothers series and it tells the story of Kendra a plus size model and Damon, a retired professional basketball player. Damon and Kendra’s story started at the end of the last book and I just knew it was going to be great. This book did not disappoint and I love how both main characters are working through issues, but are still able to form a bond. Kendra is such a strong FMC and she’s gorgeous and she knows it but she has to deal with so much being a plus sized model as well as dealing with a cheating pesky ex-husband. Damon is still finding his footing post retirement as well as adapting to his brothers being married and or in serious relationships. This book is excellent all around and it tackles some very heavy issues and it is done gracefully. I highly recommend this book.

What a fun read this next book in the Park Brothers series is! It’s Damon’s turn up. He is the middle son of the five boys and he’s the only athlete in the bunch. Standing 6’6” tall he’s a professional basketball player in the European league.

However, after 10 years playing abroad his latest team dumps him and he heads back to the US. It takes him a minute to find his footing. During that time he meets Kendra, his dream girl. The one who he imagined a life with when he was playing abroad.

This is a slow burn romance. Damon takes awhile to get himself together and Kendra has come off a divorce from a famous R&B singer so their love story slowly develops. But once it gets started, it’s a fun ride. Borrowed this from Kindle Unlimited.

Thank you to Love Notes PR and Katherine E. Webb for the opportunity to be on the ARC Team for this book and apologies for the late review!

Having not read the other books in this series, I did not feel lost at all reading these without them. Damon Park is probably one of my favorite male characters that I have read this year. And Kendra Gray is such a fierce baddie that I loved! The progression of the relationship between the two was so believable and cute and spicy and all the good things. The representation of the modeling society and the cultural stereotypes was absolutely fantastic.

I will be reading the other books in this series here shortly but feel that Damon will be my favorite Park brother.

Loved this book!!! Damon Park, the middle child of five, is playing basketball overseas while secretly crushing on model Kendra Gray. After his basketball career is over, he ends up back in New York. I love that he is able to meet said crush at a fashion show. Kendra is recently divorced from R&B artist Andre Gibbs. He keeps popping back into her life like a bad penny!!! I love the relationships that Damon has with his brothers: Adam, Cory, Henry & Noah. Kendra’s family relationships are not as good. She does have a great friend in Denise (who coincidentally is dating Damon’s brother Cory). I really love the relationship between Damon & Kendra!! I haven’t read the first three books in the series yet, but I am about to start them. I can’t wait for book #5!!! Highly recommend

Funnily enough, this was the second book in a row I’ve read where the FMC and MMC, in this case Kendra and Damon, have an awkward sexual encounter then decide to just be friends. In this instance the couple knew early on that “just friends” wouldn’t cut it. I appreciated that both Damon and Kendra both had their uncertainties to work through regarding the relationship and it wasn’t only the FMC. It was also a bit refreshing to see the conventionally attractive MMC be the one with feelings of insecurity about themselves being enough for our plus sized FMC when it’s usually the opposite in these things.

I’ve really enjoyed this series, and I can’t wait for the next one.

Thank you to Katherine E. Webb for the ARC.

🌶️🌶️🌶️

I really, really, really wanted to like this book, but it was just meh for me.

There were definitely some great moments throughout the book, but not enough to outweigh the others for me. Damon’s stalkerish vibes, their lack of communication or and/or excessive miscommunications, along with the annoying, overbearing ex-husband were just too much for me.

This is the 4th book in the series. I did not read the other 3 and had no trouble jumping right in. While it can be read as a standalone, I wonder if I would have been more connected to the storyline and characters if I had read the others.

🥃 ARC Review: Ready or Not (The Park Brothers Book 4)
By The Bourbon Sipping Bibliophile
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐½ (4.5/5)
Spice Level: 🌶️🌶️ (Slow Burn • Impactful Heat)

🥃 The Pour: A Slow Burn Served With a Twist of Fate
Every series has that final sibling who keeps you waiting — the elusive one, the emotionally constipated one, the "I’m fine, I don’t need love" one.
In the Park Brothers universe, that man is Damon.

Benched, bruised, and back in NYC after the kind of athletic downfall that forces a man to reconsider every life choice he’s ever made, Damon comes home with two rules:

No distractions.
No love.

Enter Kendra Gray.
A plus-size powerhouse with hips, sass, and confidence for days — freshly divorced, freshly revived, and ready for fun that doesn’t require intimacy, vulnerability, or messy emotional rebounds.

Their first meeting? Immediately electric.
Their dynamic? Irresistibly doomed.
Their friendship pact? About as stable as Damon’s career plans.

They try to be “just friends,” but the tension between them is slow-simmering, honey-thick, and destined to boil over. Katherine E. Webb pours this romance with a perfect swirl of emotional vulnerability, banter, personal growth, and the kind of chemistry that sneaks up like a well-aged bourbon.

🥃 What I Savored: The Smoothest Sips
🥃 Kendra: A Plus-Size Goddess With Layers
Kendra Gray is a woman who knows her worth — but still has wounds. Webb nails the nuance of a plus-size supermodel navigating a world built on impossible standards.
She’s soft and sharp, glamorous and grounded, healing and thriving.
A heroine worth toasting.

🥃 Damon: The Insecure MMC We Deserve
Let me say this loud and clear: Damon is THAT Park brother.
This man has been quietly obsessed with Kendra long before their story begins, and watching him unravel?
Delicious.

He’s conventionally attractive, physically imposing, but emotionally tender and riddled with self-doubt. He thinks he’s not good enough for her — and that role reversal is the exact kind of high-proof romance innovation I crave.

🥃 Banter, Miscommunication, and THAT Tension
The push-pull between these two is its own character.
They talk around what they want, bump into emotional walls, and try (poorly) to protect themselves from a connection that’s already written in the stars.
The result?
Electric.
And beautifully messy.

🥃 Two Fully Realized People, One Converging Path
Divorce recovery, career pivots, family shifts — Kendra and Damon aren’t just falling in love; they’re rebuilding themselves.
The emotional intimacy in this book is tender, earned, and poured with care.

🥃 The Finish
If you’re craving a sports romance that’s as vulnerable as it is swoony, with a plus-size FMC who steals the spotlight and a protective MMC with soft-belly insecurities?
Ready or Not is your next must-sip read.

As the final Park Brothers installment, it lands with heart, heat, and a perfectly shaken HEA — but it works phenomenally as a standalone, too.

I adored this book.
I savored every sip.

🥃 Perfect Pairing: The Spicy Paloma
Why?
Kendra is the bright citrus hit — bold, refreshing, unforgettable.
Damon is the slow warmth of tequila and spice — protective, grounding, with a sneaky burn.
Together?
Chef’s kiss. A cocktail of fate.

Spicy Paloma Cocktail Recipe
Perfect for pairing with a spicy, swoony romance!
The Paloma is a refreshing classic, and adding a kick of jalapeño gives it the complexity needed to match the tension in Ready or Not.
Ingredients (Makes 1 drink)
2 oz Tequila (Blanco/Silver)
1/2 oz Fresh Lime Juice
2 oz Fresh Grapefruit Juice
2 oz Agave Nectar or Simple Syrup
1/2 oz (adjust to taste) Sparkling Grapefruit Soda (like Jarritos or Squirt)
Top off Jalapeño Slices 2 - 3 thin slices (or more for extra heat)
Salt/Chili Powder Blend For rimming (optional)
Garnish Lime wheel and/or grapefruit wedge

🏷️ Tropes Served Neat:
Curvy Romance
Sports Romance
Friends-to-Lovers
Insecure MMC
Strong, Self-Assured FMC
Divorce Recovery
Forced Proximity

Ready or Not? by Katherine Webb

Ready or Not?—the fourth installment in Katherine Webb’s Park Brothers series—stands easily on its own, delivering a heartfelt, slow-burn romance that’s equal parts tender, steamy, and emotionally grounded.

At the center of the story are two unforgettable characters: Kendra Gray, a rising plus-size supermodel navigating industry fatphobia, public scrutiny, and her own past trauma; and Damon Park, an athletic, quietly intense basketball coach rebuilding his life after a career setback. Their worlds collide in a way that feels both serendipitous and gently humorous, beginning with Damon’s long-standing admiration for Kendra—from afar. What initially reads as obsessive melts into a portrait of a man who is unexpectedly soft, earnest, and utterly enthralled by the woman he once only saw on a billboard.

The chemistry between them unravels slowly and deliciously. Both insist they should remain “just friends” despite undeniable attraction—Kendra freshly out of a painful marriage and Damon convinced she’s out of his league. But late-night texts turn intimate, emotional walls start to crumble, and their connection deepens into something neither can brush aside. Their dynamic explores dominance/submission, desire, and vulnerability with an honesty that feels both bold and empowering.

Webb handles heavier themes with intent and awareness: body shaming, PTSD, and an attempted sexual assault from Kendra’s past are woven thoughtfully into her emotional arc. Throughout, Damon is written as the rare romance hero who listens, supports, and never flinches. He sees Kendra not for her fame or her curves, but for her strength, humor, and “queen energy”—and watching him champion not only her but the high-schoolers he coaches adds another layer of warmth.

On the lighter side, the novel thrives on flirty banter, cozy domestic moments, and a series of steamy scenes that align with Kendra’s confident, dominant sexuality. It’s refreshing, fun, and deeply character-driven.

Overall, Ready or Not? is a standout in contemporary romance—sensual without losing sincerity, emotional without losing playfulness. It offers a beautifully nuanced plus-size heroine, a gentle yet passionate hero, and an opposites-attract love story that feels mature, inclusive, and irresistibly charming. Whether or not you’ve read the previous Park Brothers books, this one is absolutely worth picking up.

Huge shoutout to LoveNotesPR for the ARC opportunity!

Loved.

Katherine E. Webb continues to deliver with this installment of the Park brothers series, and I absolutely flew through this one. I lost sleep finishing it, which is always a good sign, and I’m already looking forward to Noah’s story and seeing how everything wraps up for the brothers.
One of Webb’s strengths is how she writes emotionally human characters, and that really shines here. Damon and Kendra were easy to get invested in, flaws and all. Damon, the middle brother and a retired pro basketball player, struggles hard with self-doubt and imposter syndrome. While I understood where it was coming from, there were moments where I just wanted him to shake himself out of it. Not because it dragged the story down, but because I’ve been there in my own way. That disconnect between reality and self-perception is something Webb captures especially well.
Kendra’s struggles hit differently. She has been made to feel less than by her family, her industry (and Morty and I are absolutely going to have words, because he does not deserve Kendra either), and her ex-husband, and those experiences have left real scars. I appreciated that Webb didn’t smooth those edges away or turn confidence into something effortless. Kendra’s growth felt earned, and her strength never erased her vulnerability.
As is fairly customary for Webb’s stories, the resolution is just as much about individual healing as it is about the relationship itself. Both characters have their own internal work to do, and watching them learn how to support one another made the emotional payoff feel satisfying.
I did wish a couple of side threads had a bit more closure, but overall this was a strong, engaging read and a solid continuation of the series.

Obsessed down bad men are my kind of men.

I was thoroughly entertained by this book even when is part of a series of interconnected stand alones and is he first one i've read i never felt lost in the interconnected  stories, and even better the author didn't spent a bunch of time describing or teasing those other stories, making me even more eager to read those other books.

Damon's journey was a delight to read but most importantly I love that in every step of the way he was pathetically down bad for Kendra, did he technically stalked her for over a year? Technically yes, but from a safe and respectful distance, and respecting her space and privacy, so is it really stalking? (also yes but you know what I mean)

~Blurb~

Damon’s career is over, leaving him back in New York with nothing but a plan to rebuild, apartment, coaching job, and maybe work his way to coach in the big  leagues. Love? Not on the list. Kendra is recently divorced, and as a plus-size supermodel she's ready to enjoy life on her own terms. But when Damon and Kendra collide at one of her shows, sparks fly instantly and inconveniently. He thinks she’s out of his league. She thinks he’s too serious. They promise to stay “just friends”… until late-night texts and undeniable chemistry prove that fate has other plans.

I had the absolute pleasure of receiving an ARC of Ready or Not by Katherine E. Webb, and let me just say… this woman delivers. I’ve adored this entire series from the beginning, but I’ve been waiting for Damon. And wow—Webb did not disappoint.

The emotional depth in this book? Chef’s kiss. Webb has this magical ability to make you relate to a character even when you have absolutely nothing in common with them. I’m not a middle child, but somehow I was sitting there like, “Wow… same.” She captures that feeling of having everything going for you on the outside, yet still struggling with the quiet fear of not being enough. It’s raw, real, and beautifully done.

And Kendra? Oh, I LOVED her. All caps, full volume. She’s powerful and confident, even while still carrying the weight of PTSD from her ex and the industry. The way Damon shows up for her—patient, steady, never pushing—is the kind of emotional maturity women dream about. And then Kendra turning around and being that same safe place for Damon, helping rebuild his confidence? Ugh. Stunning. Their relationship is the kind of balanced, healing love story that makes you want to hug the book when you’re done.

And now… Noah’s book. I’m already mentally preparing myself because I know that one is going to get messy in the best way. 🤭

Antecdotal thoughts while reading
Damon is smart with his money even when it is an unpopular opinion.
Haha!! How Damon thinks he found "the one".
I agree, the brother of your new business partner's boyfriend is a mouthful!
Um "Dad", are you really devaluing your daughter's worth just because "he's a rich, handsome man"? Uuuggggg!!!
Reference to being "cooked" is so the lingo of today.
I like a partner who wants to be financially set and living the life worth sharing before bringing in that other person. Respect
Damon's self-confidence needs a boost; meanwhile, Kendra has it in spades.
Family party and the gangs all there. Your move Damon.
What happened with Viega? Definitely something that messed with your mind Kendra. You will survive AND come out stronger!
Verbal consent ✔️
Dang Kendra! Kick him out, use him at an industry event, and let him walk away...cold!!!
Damon, thank you for standing up for Kendra. Andre is a dirtbag.
Communicate people!!!! Ugh!
"You are stronger because of what you've been through, not in spite of it. You're not broken." 🙌
Sorry, but I think this book could have been about 75 pages shorter and still tell the same story. It got very long the last 2 hours of reading it.

Thank you to Love Notes PR for the digital ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Ready or Not follows Damon Park, an ex-athlete recovering from a career-ending setback and trying to rebuild his life in NYC. His plan is simple: find an apartment, coach high school basketball, work his way back up, and definitely avoid falling in love. Meanwhile, Kendra Gray—fresh off a headline-making divorce—is stepping into her next era as a plus-size supermodel, embracing her power and looking for a little fun with no strings attached. When the two meet at one of her final runway shows, the chemistry is instant, unexpected, and very inconvenient. They promise to stay just friends…but late-night texts and growing tenderness start to look a lot like fate.

I really appreciated the romance between Damon and Kendra. I’m not used to this level of smut, and I still struggle with the use of the “c” word, but the story made up for it with Damon’s kindness, thoughtfulness, and genuine patience. Kendra’s aura, her confidence, and the way she moves through the world make her such a compelling match for him. Together, they balance softness and heat in a way that kept me hooked.

A charming, steamy, heartfelt read.

Damon Parks what a pity is licking his wounds back in New York City .Love is a hard pass ,that’s way in his past . All he wants to focus on is his new career . Not someone to call him dear. He’s most sincere and focused too ,in making a career coaching his own basketball team ,it’s a dream to climb the big leagues and so sets to it. Kendra Gray is a plus sized lady who has had enough of shady .Her divorce was headline stuff and it was rough . Now she’s reinventing as a plus sized model and she’s not going back. She meets Damon at one of her shows and it’s instant attraction but each have a problem with representing what they’re thinking and so this relation-ship is sinking before it starts . If only …they actually could be sweethearts . He thinks she’s outta his league and she thinks he’s far too serious and staid . If only they knew ,they’d have it made… wonderful inviting writing with a little heat as well as sweet .Katherine E Webb this storytelling is compelling and the storyline divine .

Ready Or Not gave me a story full of messy healing, magnetic chemistry, and a whole lot of heart. Damon Park is in his rebuilding era, trying to piece together his career while convincing himself he has no business falling for anyone. Meanwhile Kendra Gray is stepping into her power, thriving as a plus-size Black model, and refusing to let anyone dim her shine.

Their worlds collide at a runway show and suddenly the billboard crush is very real. Late-night texts turn into something deeper, and even though they both swear they are not looking for love, fate clearly missed the memo.

I loved how bold and grounded Kendra was, how Damon’s softness peeked through his fears, and how both of them learned to show up even when things got complicated. The brother dynamics? So sweet. Kendra and her girls? Pure hype-squad energy.

A tender, slow-simmer connection with representation that truly matters.

4.5/5 stars. Truly a lovely book, and I couldn’t put it down; I read the whole thing in a day. The main characters are so deeply lovable and the way Katherine Webb incorporated characters from the three previous books in the series was masterful.

Damon’s relationships with each of his brothers is truly reflective of a middle child’s experience, and I love the bond he shares with Adam. Similarly, despite Kendra having probably the two worst parents ever (you would think I would be used to evil parents after Denise’s story in False Start), she has such a beautiful family in her Uncle and amazing friendships. I adore the world Katherine Webb has built.

Speaking of world building, I hope we get some short story or novella about Tiffany and Rory. They already seem so cute together, and I don’t even think they’re even together properly yet. I’m going to miss the Park Brothers; I can’t believe the next book will be the last one!

Damon believing Kendra is “out of his league” while being down bad from DAY ONE?? Delicious.

But the detail that ended me: Damon seeing Kendra on a poster in Spain long before meeting her in real life. That moment alone had me swooning. It felt like fate had been pulling these two together from across the ocean.

Kendra’s ex-husband? Public enemy number one. The way he behaves only highlight how much Damon is exactly what Kendra deserves.

I love a feel good moment- and I have been looking forward to seeing Kendra get loved!! After she was teased during Book 2 and Book 3, I was curious whether we would get her as a FMC and her and Damon did not disappoint!

They were so adorable- and to be honest, I was more intrigued by Damon’s journey than I was Kendra’s. Yes he was shy, but there was a vulnerability that we were able to see him work through that any middle child really does understand. Not to mention - he was just so enamored, it was beautiful to read about.

Also a fierce, international, supermodel millionaire boss woman just - YES. And overcoming the obstacles she did to properly love and be loved was the perfect amount of sappy to kick off December.

Love it! Now I’m just trying to figure out where Noah’s story will go !

this book is so annoying!!!

they don't want to be together!!!! the way they found ways to miscommunicate a "hello" should be written in the stars! the way everything is a reason for them to distance themselves should be studied!

In one side we have Damon who has been in love with Kendra since gods knows when and in the other we have Kendra who what's, rightfully, to be in love? So we have somebody who wants love and somebody who wants to give that love! What do we get? Miscommunication, lots of monologues that don't connect to nothing and tears.

They're both in their 30's but they could easily be in their teens, it would be the exact same behavior.

Also ... I would love to have more of the model side, not only description of what happen but more of the model Kendra, we get mostly just Kendra whos thinking of ways of miscommunicating with Damon.

Thank you Love Notes PR and the author for the opportunity to read and review an ARC of Ready or Not.

Ready or Not is book #4 of the Park Brothers series. It was the first book of the series that I read, and it can absolutely be read as a standalone.

The book follows retired basketball player turned high school coach Damon and plus-size supermodel Kendra. Both are just really sweet people. And even though I was a bit annoyed with Damon for continuously thinking that he isn't good enough for Kendra, I really loved how patient the two are with each other as they work through their issues - Damon thinking that he's never been good enough, and Kendra's (understandable) distrust of men.

I enjoyed the book very much and give it four big stars.

Damon, a retired basketball star, never expected to cross paths with Kendra—the plus-size supermodel he secretly crushed on after her billboard loomed outside his apartment for a year. But when their worlds finally collide through mutual connections, the spark is instant. One meeting is all it takes to flip Damon’s life upside down… and he’s not sure he ever wants it set right again.

I enjoyed this book overall—the spice was great and the story had potential—but it just didn’t become a favourite for me. I struggled to really connect with the characters, which made it harder to fully sink into the romance.

Damon as my favorite Park brother was not on my bingo card, but happy to be here!! Damon is actually nuts! Talking to Kendra's billboard for a year is a new level of insane hahaha Meeting her and not knowing how to act! He was such a golden retriever, but such her safe space. I even like how he tried to have boundaries because he knew he could not pretend to be casual since he was so sprung!!

Kendra! I will say her hangups were very understandble, but that ex situation. I was tired! Glad they got it together. Happy to also see some just friendship moments as well. This has been my favorite book so far by the author! The writing is getting better and better and the characters are so well rounded! Cannot wait to see what Noah has been up to!

The Verdict: ★★★★☆
A warm, spicy comfort read that feels like a hug from a chaotic but loving family.
The Vibe:
Trope: Likely "Surprise Pregnancy" or "Sudden Family" (based on the title).
Heat Level: Spicy. Webb writes great chemistry.
Family: The "Park Brothers" dynamic is the star—expect meddling siblings and Sunday dinners.
Read This If:
You love the "reformed bachelor" trope and want a romance that balances steamy scenes with genuine emotional connection.
Skip This If:
You haven't read the first three books (Champagne Kisses, etc.). You need the backstory of the other brothers to truly appreciate the family banter in this one.

📚 ARC BOOK REVIEW — Ready or Not by Katherine E. Webb

Ready or Not brings all the emotional tension, family warmth, and swoony romance the Park Brothers series is known for—plus a couple you’ll fall for instantly.

Damon Park is officially benched—literally and figuratively. After a career-crushing setback overseas, he’s back in New York watching his brothers thrive while he’s rebuilding from the ground up. His focus is simple: find a place to live, coach high school basketball, and claw his way back to the future he thought he’d have. Love? Not even on the roster.

Enter Kendra Gray: newly divorced, newly unleashed, and ready to take her career as a plus-size supermodel to the next level. She’s sworn off drama, seriousness, and anything that looks even remotely like complicated feelings. A little fun? Absolutely. A brooding ex-athlete who stares like he sees the real her? Absolutely not.

Their chemistry, unfortunately for them (and wonderfully for us), refuses to cooperate. From a chance meeting at one of Kendra’s final runway shows to late-night texts and sparks that won’t quit, their “just friends” pact crumbles beautifully. Webb nails the push-pull between two people who are determined to protect themselves… but keep finding comfort, attraction, and something deeper in each other.

This book shines with vulnerability, humor, and characters who feel fully lived-in. Damon’s quiet determination and Kendra’s bold reinvention make them a perfect opposites-attract pairing, and watching them fall—slowly, reluctantly, inevitably—is pure joy.

If you love sports-adjacent romance, messy growth arcs, and a love story that feels fated from page one, Ready or Not delivers in every way.

Can't wait to read the other books in the Park brothers series (already added to my Kindle)

This book comes out November 28 - mark your calendars.

Thanks @lovenotes.pr and @katwrotethat for the opportunity to get an ARC for this book.

ARC REVIEW
4 stars!
Ready or Not is the first book by Katherine E. Webb I've read and I really enjoyed it. This is not the typical love story I was expecting which is good!
This book is about Kendra, a plus-sized model who just divorced her ex and Damon, a former basketball player who just moved back to NYC. After meeting for the first time, the chemistry is instant and inconvenient.
Let me tell you, I LOVED Kendra and her personality. And Damon? He's the definition of a golden retriever. The dynamic between those two was just amazing!

Thank you for this arc!

Honestly Katherine Webb can do no wrong in my opinion. I love the Park brothers and love reading about how they all slowly fall out of the no girlfriend pact. Damon, our sweet basketball player sub is next and he falls for plus sized supermodel Kendra Gray. It’s a simple story. Boy is obsessed with girl, falls for girl, THEN meets girl and has to be her friend before she’ll give him a real chance. It’s honestly much cuter than it sounds. This is a sweet easy read with JUST ENOUGH spice (I personally always hope for a little more). A solid 4 star read.
