Creating safe, fearless church cultures in a complex world.

How can your story help churches become safe, fearless communities? My story and the stories of others speak of beauty spoilt by toxic and abusive behaviours. Better Than This will help you understand and create healthy cultures where everyone can live, love and thrive as God intended.

“It was, as expected a difficult read – so much rang true and so much convicted me of errors within.”
Jeremy Simpkins, Leader of ChristCentral NFI Churches, UK

"Exceptional. A great tool for churches who want to change. The book will be catalyst."
Nikki Rucci, Pastor at Rivercity Family Church, Brisbane, Australia

“An essential guide for leaders to reflect on how to create safe, fearless churches that truly reflect Christ.”
Pastor Ken Harrison, Superintendent New Zealand Assemblies of God, 2003–2011

Better Than This is a courageous, heartfelt, and deeply convicting guide for churches striving to become what Christ truly intended safe, nurturing, and fearless communities. Through personal stories and honest reflections, the author shines a light on the painful reality of toxic behavior within faith spaces while offering hope and practical wisdom for transformation.

Some great stories to illustrate ideas and issues. No doubt, it was written with much heart and personality. The author brings up some interesting question-creating points. I found the book to be lacking a consistent flow.

You might not agree with everything, but I challenge you to give it a go.
