Fascinating story of an icon of the oil and gas industry. Mr. De discovered oil fields, pioneered technologies, helped found Core Laboratories, the St. Marks School for Boys, and of course, his eponymous reserves firm with McNaughton. He lived hard and died tragically. This is a well-told story. Definitely worth seeking out for any oil and gas (or Dallas) history buff.
