The tone is persistently self-pitying, asking readers to sympathize with individuals of enormous privilege and resources who seem genuinely aggrieved at being held to account. The portrayal of public servants, legal professionals, and institutions is not just unfavorable but often borders on conspiracy-minded, framing standard legal processes and transparency requirements as targeted persecution. The underlying assumption—that the authors should somehow be exempt from scrutiny that applies to others—is never acknowledged, much less justified.
It is a genuine shame that rather than honestly tell their story, the author has used it as an opportunity to score points. For anyone interested in these events, this account should be treated with considerable skepticism and cross-referenced against more reliable sources and documented evidence.

In one of those lovely, eerie bits of synchronicity (which happen WAY too often), just an hour or so after I closed this book for the last time (thank God!), I opened John Fugelsang's excellent Separation of Church and Hate: A Sane Person's Guide to Taking Back the Bible from Fundamentalists, Fascists, and Flock-Fleecing Frauds, and right there on page 10 was the following:
And so I almost gave this book a second star for being so perfectly, if ironically, titled. Because Eric Trump, scion of what is currently (and I still can't believe I'm saying this) the most powerful family in the world, cannot get beyond being a whiny little #$!@ because — wah, wah, wah! — people are mean to me and my daddy, and they don't see how hard he's working to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, because Fake News and Corruption and Election Fraud and Obama/Biden/Clinton and ALL YOU BAD PEOPLE (but not the GOOD ones)…
DISCLAIMER: If you haven't figured it out by now, THIS IS NOT A FULL AND PROPER BOOK REVIEW PER SE, so feel free to stop now (if you haven't already) and go elsewhere. Just as with my review of Bill Barr's 600-page memoir (no one cares about your childhood, Bill!), I did NOT read the whole thing here, or even half of it; but skipped the early years (with apologies to Eric's apparently saintly mother, on whom Donald cheated regularly and eventually buried on one of his golf courses), and then skimmed the parts from 2016 to the present, because, well, that was all I could stomach. And while I know there will be haters, I just gotta say it: Sweet Jesus, Eric: give it up. No matter how hard you try (and between this book and the interviews I've seen on both Fox and CNN, you are trying really hard), your father is NOT the "best Dad in the world," just like he's not "the best President ever." What he is is a convicted sexual assailant, fraudster, and defamer; a serial liar, carnival huckster, and all-around Fascistic, narcissistic megalomaniac who doesn't give a shit about America or the American people, and I'm guessing he really doesn't give much of a shit about you either, (his "Foreword" to this book was less than a page — thanks, Dad!)…because you're not HIM, and America's not HIM, and HE HIMSELF is all he thinks about and cares about to the point where he is willing to let the world burn (figuratively for now, if not eventually literally) as long as that flame continues to illuminate HIM HIM HIM.
But, hey — that's just my opinion. As of this writing, the 4th most popular GR review of this book states (in full!): "Incredible book about an incredible family!! The American people have no idea how lucky we are to have Trump as president." So, y'know, room for everybody, I guess.
NOTE: I realize that this is a terrible book to end the year on, but one of my '26 resolutions is to waste as little thought or energy as possible on this toxic family, so wanted to crank this out now. I'm also not going back and editing it; which may have toned things down a bit. But it's time to move on, for both my health and sanity.

"ALWAYS IN POWER, ALWAYS UNDER SIEGE"Fugelsang goes on, but the point is that being "Under Siege" is the endless, whiny battle cry of the corrupt powerful — whether the far-right fundamental Christian or the autocratic political demagogue, (and sadly, in today's America they have become inseparable) — looking to shift the focus from their own attrocities to the nebulous and often imaginary threat of "the other:" immigrants, Democrats/liberals in general, homosexuals, the media, late night comics (!), Muslims, Jews, the poor, the sick…on anything and anyone other than themselves.
"Politicians use the 'Christianity under attack' rhetoric to secure votes and consolidate power. By framing themselves as warriors in a spiritual battle, they thirstily pander to a sense of tribal loyalty among a certain kind of voter. Televangelists and megachurch pastors (and politicians) have long capitalized on the victimhood narrative to solicit donations and build obscene personal wealth. And polarizing cultural wedge issues are historically one of the slickest ways to redirect attention away from real social and economic problems…"

Eric provides a unique insight to a variety subjects. Some insight to growing up and his background that shaped his life the Trump Towers and summers at his materal grandmothers in the Czechoslovakia. The vast majority of the book relates to his fathers decision to run for President. It entails ALL the trials and tribulations that have risen along the way. Including Russiagate, impeachments, various criminal charges following the 2020 election. The raid on Mar Logo the assination attempts. The third run for office. Along the way the reader gets an insight at just how corrupt the Dems are and their bedfellows the media. It was a very good read.

This book is amazing! I listened to the audiobook, which is great because Eric reads it himself. I listened to the entire book in just two days. It completely drew me in and kept my interest throughout. You can tell Eric is passionate about his dad and about the USA. This book helped to solidify my compassion/understanding/love for the Trump family.
I just ordered two hardcopies on Amazon to give for Christmas presents. Thank you, Eric for being so candid and honest during a time when you and your family are being attacked daily.

This was a great book and explains all that Trump went through to become our 45th and 47th President. It explains Eric and Lara’s role and how they helped Trump win the elections. I have had honest belief in Donald J. Trump from the start. I knew he would do an excellent job and his 2 terms have proven he could. He exposed the Democrats for their insincere role in their proven dishonesty in our government coming into Congress and going out as rich as they could be. Trump has saved us from total oblivion and has cut off the dishonesty. That’s why they hate him! But the republicans love him and we will always support him. Read this book and learn all about Trump’s faithfulness to his people!

I loved this book!! I loved getting an inside view of the Trump family and how they grew up and the family life. I learned a lot and was honestly surprised by some of the things I learned. This book talks about growing up as Donald Trump & Ivanna Trump’s son all through his life including having a strict mom and how he didn’t have anything handed to him especially when it came to working. This books ok covers him meeting & marring his wife. It talks about the special relationship he has with his father and how he wants to have the same relationship with his kids. It’s also talks about his dad becoming president and all the challenges that brought and all the legal challenges they faced during and after his presidency.

It is incredible what the Trump family has had to endure for years. Most families would have never survived intact after the relentless attacks by media, political opponents and the lawless judiciary. I believe Eric alone received 139 subpoenas! He details much of the abuse the family suffered through, but with their heads held high, they have thrived, which is the ultimate vindication. He does admit that he is not as gracious to his enemies as his father has proven to be. Great collection of family photos too!

Memoir, politics, plus lots of DJT quotes. When Eric was leaving for school one morning, his dad said, "Don't smoke, drink, or do drugs, and don't trust anyone." He was in first grade, lol.

Im in awe of the Trump successes. The book, while not a major literary achievement, resonates with the love and passion the family has for each othet, as sell as their mission.

Eric Trump has. Been able to take all the lies, fraud, treason, all the hidden backdoor plans. ThT the other team claims it’s not what we see as wrong they insist the sky is green and we have heard it over and over we. Now see a green sky This was a simplified way to show us how. Ivey lie and deny it I finally understand how far the country is is not in line with the creators this the Hail Mary pass and we need to get it back or the evil will Be our end nice. Job you are doing and I am thankful that you are doing all this pain thy throw at you. Never quit I appreciate how much tha has cost all of you thank you l god for keeping our hope. This was such a great book! I knew that the President and his family had been through a lot, but I had no idea to what extent that their political enemies went to try to destroy them. It’s sickening and disgusting that these kinds of things can happen in this country. Thank God the American people didn’t believe all the lies and corruptness. If I could give this book 10 stars, I would.

Well written. Such an awesome tribute to an amazing family that people with TDS don’t realize are a real family with real relationships.
I loved reading how Trump calls his sons “honey”. I loved reading how tight and supportive each family member is of each other. Eric really spells out the level of corruption in media and the justice system. Too bad no one with TDS will actually read this book. They will just continue to get their news on TikTok. Lol
Trump is nothing short of amazing. I am in awe of all he has endured and never really sweated it. Incredible. Epitome of a president.

This was so good… so interesting. It was fascinating to read Eric’s perspective on all the events and special people in his life and what a life already lived! Go Trumps! They are all a tough bunch and this country is fortunate to have them at the battle ready to save our beautiful country! I am fascinated to learn of the dynamics of the inner family relationships but noted there was no acknowledgement of Eric’s stepmother, Melania. She’s been in his life a long time…why no mention? Other than that, I would definitely recommend Under Siege!

I could not put this book down. Most of the time I was reading it, I was shaking my head in disbelief and my jaw was dropped. I am eternally grateful to the Trump family and their sacrifices for our county. They didn’t have to do any of this…they chose to. How many other Americans would do the same? I am weak and would have tapped out. I am highly recommending this book to everyone I know.
