Parents of kids with A.D.H.D. (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) have been taught that the disorder is a serious handicap―that it will make raising their child difficult, and that the child will continually struggle to succeed in school and throughout life. Parents are looking for hope, encouragement, and answers to their questions. Why A.D.H.D. Doesn't Mean Disaster gives parents of children with A.D.H.D. just what they a strong dose of encouragement from fellow parents who have children with A.D.H.D., support for valuing the benefits of having a child with an attention disorder, and just the right amount of practical medical advice needed for understanding.
This is an extremely encouraging book. It highlights the facts about ADHD and the blessings that come with it. It made me realise that people with ADHD are very talented and brilliant...I would recommend it to anyone who has a child with ADHD or teachers who deal with these children all of the time.
Best book on ADHD I've read and the most encouraging and reasonable. This is not a disease or a disorder, generally speaking, but it is a different way that the brain works.
