A 3 Novella series packaged in 1 very glitzy boxset standalone.
This is the story behind the rich and famous lives of the Hollywood elite. Told in dual POV, this is the story of a child star who has lost her way and the director struggling to make it on his own merit instead of being known as the playboy son of Hollywood royalty.
Star Davis is 19 and newly out of rehab. Having started in the business at 2, she has grown tired of the bullshit that accompanies her true love - Acting. So what if she enjoys to party; it doesn't mean she is the addict everyone thinks she is. To prove this she has bagged the part of a lifetime, she is even doing it for peanuts. Now she just has to get the director on side. Shouldn't be too hard, she is after all Star Davis.
Jake Wild is an upcoming director about to embark on his biggest film to date. This may his time to shine, away from the snide remarks of only being where he is because of his family. When the producer informs him that not only have they cast Star Davis, the wild child that the paparazzi go nuts over, but that he has to personally take her under his wing, he is furious. He wants a serious actress, not a barely legal drug and drink fuelled princess. He also doesn't need her to distract him. A recently admitted and recovering sex addict, he is determined that he will no longer be fucking his way through the cast, crew and anyone else for that matter. Shouldn't be too hard, right?
Two damaged products of a childhood spent in the lights and glamour of Hollywood. Will they be each others salvation? Or will they force each other back into the lifestyles they are trying so hard to escape from?
I really enjoyed this book, I needed a bit of glitz and glamour, an light easy read after a very dark read; The Star Trilogy was the perfect tonic. Don't assume however that it is all sunshine and roses, it isn't. The book certainly has drama a plenty to keep you the reader interested and invested in the main protagonists.
Star was perfect. Assumed to be the typical Hollywood brat, she is actually an amazing actress with a real and honest lack of self esteem. Everyone loves her and she is such a likeable character. She is at times mature for her age but at the same time has a naive side to her that reminds you she is still just a 19 year old product of a very harsh and judgemental business. Jake is the quintessential former playboy director who was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He is desperate to make it on his own, especially given the difficult childhood he endured with his famous father. Star shocks him on many levels and he fights the emotions she stirs in him with stubborn determination. They are great together, the perfect match of ambition, issues and determination to survive and win in Hollywood. They just both need to realise it.
So if I am being super picky it felt a little rushed at times, there is a lot of drama played out and I wish some of it had been expanded on a little more. However lets remember that this is a 3 Novella boxset and they always seem to be a little more rushed than a novel. The writing though is an easy style and I found it very readable, witty and perfectly descriptive.
If you are looking for an easy, light read with drama, glitz and steam - The Star Trilogy will be the perfect read for you

The way to read this book is like this...a boxed set. I would of been so peaved to have to wait between books as the story was so compelling. What an exciting read!
DNF and i honestly dissapointed about the fact. But this is why. Trilogy... First book is 100ish long, second book somewhere around there too and third book is 200ish. This trilogy doesnt need to be trilogy at all! It can be one big book or a duet. I got "lucky" reading the boxset, but when finish the first book, i was "huh?? Thats it? Where's the other pages go? "
Move on to the story.
I dont get the chemistry. Both h/H are childish. The author trying too hard to make Star pure and innocent with her virginity while being a b*ch and glorified party girl. I dont mind my h being a sinner, with lovers on her black book. So long she have back bone, adult and stand up for her bi**chness.
And the H? A 26 s3gs addict with relationship phobia saying he wants to try a relationship basicly with an english pearl clutcher, just so he wont be tempted to a nineteen year old sexy virgin and the first time she give him bj, he realised he love her.
Mic drop. I'm done.
No chemistry of their romance. Nothing exciting in the movie set.
Oh, i forgot. Shes so virgin no matter what the media said, it was her first time giving a guy a bj too.

We were introduced to Jake Wild and Star Davis in Shooting Star. Even though the ending left me flabbergasted; I managed to control my urge to either pm the author and tell her how cruel she was, or do a bit of Kindle bashing! I did neither and patiently waited for Falling Star. The cliffy in this book was even better, and it actually left me praying that Star wouldn't succumb to Leo’s advances when she was at her weakest. Shining Star is the conclusion to this young, beautiful and gifted starlet’s story who has to overcome more than one personal problem. Both protagonists’ POV is narrated chapter by chapter in a well-thought-out and solid plot with excellent banter. As an animal lover, I especially liked the way the author had integrated some interesting facts about a species in danger and I just loved Jake’s dog, Fierce.
''"And eat up, Fierce, you've got a job to do today."
Ms. Richmonde knows what she’s talking about! The trilogy revolves around the film industry; how it ticks and how a film comes together regardless of the setbacks. I really don’t want to ‘let on’ but I will tell you that Jake, an English film director who is making “Skye’s The Limit”, life’s going to come to an abrupt standstill when he discovers that his leading actress has disappeared into thin air with his right-hand man and confidant, Leo. Obviously he thinks the worst; however, after discovering who was behind this happening, truths are revealed. You always want what you never had, and now he doesn't just want Star; no… he needs her. Jake has managed to keep his feelings for her at arm’s length, but is it too late for him to prove he’s capable of changing his ways? And what about Star’s sentiments towards Jake? She needs time to get over the loss of their very dear friend, and her wish to find herself, to get her act together, (no pun intended), don’t include him.
"And yeah, I know I'm still a sex addict, but when there's only one other person involved?"
In spite of the palpitating attraction and mutual professional respect they have had for to each other throughout this trilogy, these two beautiful protagonists’ chaotic lives cause misunderstandings galore! There is never a dull moment in this story which had me spellbound from the start. I lapped up the author’s knowledge of a subject completely new to me too, and oh my, the sex scenes are incredibly explicit; incredibly hot! So get ready to put the air-conditioning on full-blast.
"..., I'll take you to the moon and back, and f**k you till you're seeing the stars."
Once again, Ms. Richmonde has succeeded in writing a brilliant story which I might add, has a fabulous ending. The storyline, grammar and spelling is faultless which goes to show that a lot of time and effort has been put into it. And of course, this book wouldn't be the same without the Chevalier family who have played an important part in all Ms. Richmonde's writings. I’m so glad that they found their ‘media naranja.' Bravo!
"Me, Star: the dysfunctional Hollywood casualty had found true love. With this equally troubled man. My media naranja."
Yes, we have here the latest in Hollywood Scandals and it is bound to get scorching hot!
Picture a nineteen year old Oscar winner super star who has done it all - sex, drugs, and alcohol. Add a sex addicted director. Throw in the requirement that he keep an eye on her since she just got out of rehab and they are making a movie together. So what have you got? A recipe for the most exciting series that our author Arianne Richmonde has written so far.
Have to say, our heroine Sky sees the writing on the wall... she either flies straight with this movie and keeps her life clean, or her career is done for. She has done it all including being arrested. She has decided it is either straighten her life, or she might as well give up altogether.
She appears strong enough and willing to achieve her goal... but with Jack around, temptation might turn out to be too much for her. It reminded me of some current stars that are always in the news. The party is over and it is time for hard work and reality checks.
Again, using her magic pen, Arianne Richmonde has managed to create a plot with twists I did not foresee. In this thrilling series, you can be sure you will be biting your nails. Prepare yourselves! Mystery and suspense will have you reeling... Sex is not the only thrill in this book. We have a complex and well thought out plot that will make your heart ache.
Star Davis, the young starlet that came from rags to riches. But her whole story is not an open book. She had to grow up at a tender age, and experience how difficult the world could be.
Movie director Jake Wild lives up to his name. A ladies man, but the love em’ and leave em’ kind. He came from a world of money and prestige. A family name that could benefit him in the movie world, the world where he wanted to build a name for himself.
But their two destructive paths collide, and chaos’s is the result. Attraction, feelings and sexual attraction just get in the way to achieve their dreams, making the movie of a life time.
Both have to take the hard road, growing up and staying away from the bad influences from their past, and it won’t be easy, it’s never easy.
Drama, mystery and suspense will take you away with all three books combined into one Collection: The Trilogy lets you dive from book one right to the next. No waiting, until the story concludes. What a treat! I love reading trilogies like this. You will enjoy the story, characters and the writing.
If you have followed this writers books, like I have you may have a surprise or two in store for you. Very original. And I highly recommend this book.
I just finished this series. At first it was a little hard for me to get into not because of the writer it just took me a while to get into the characters themselves. But once I began to understand Star and Jake I was hooked line and sinker! And my heart was immediately touched by Leo and his tenderness towards Star I really believed he loved her which is really hard to fathom because of the short time they spent together. I loved loved loved this story and a part of me believes that famous people really go through the things Star and Jake did. I also liked how the author linked Pearl and Alexandre in this series.
Arianne has created a series in which she never says 'good-bye' to the people we love. Inviting Pearl and Alexandre Chevalier from the Pearl series we get to see 'what happens' to the characters we fell in love with as their lives continue. Arianne draws on her own past in show biz to artfully create a tale that entwined two very different people on a similar path, who are both trying to make a name for themselves in Hollywood. The ride of Jake and Star is a page turning wild one! I give it the highest rating
3.5 stars. There was a very slow start to the story which made it hard to get hooked into it. Once you do there is a twist and some suspense which is not a bad thing but then we switch it up again it's a mind game. Overall for $.99 this was a good read. I could not give 4 stars being that beginning was slow and the end was fast. The ending was fantastic, a great way to end their all kinds of messed up ness.
As a reader, there is nothing I enjoy more than a box set of a completed series. Especially when it is written by a talented writer! I enjoyed The Star Trilogy, each book keeps your interest and you can't wait to dive into the next. Rehab, actors & directors, a crazy sibling, elephants AND love... Lots and lots of love. Get cozy and snuggle up for an entertaining read.
The writing is as good as author's other books. But the plot twist is too much for me in a romance (the suspense and mind game from Star's abductors). Some chapters moved me deeply that I cried a little. But I can't relate to characters' development. Especially Jake's. His changed suddenly like he is another guy.

This series started out ok. The first two books were short and ended on cliffhangers. But by the beginning of the third book it was a mess. The story was all over the place and weak. I had absolutely no idea where it was going. One story line would start and then it just stop and go in a different direction. I would not recommend this book.
It started our so good and it seemed to have so much promise but it got terrible fast and finally the last of it was just pretty ridiculous. Don't waste your time.
Three pieces of greatness. The first leaves you wanting more and the second makes you want to not stop reading til the third part is complete. Star is your druggy actress and Jake is a sex addict. Can they have both met their matches with each other?
This is a five star all the way. Arianne Richmonde makes you feel like you are a witness in the story that can feel what the characters are feeling. Keep up the great writing....
I loved the trilogy and the characters of Star and Jake. They found their way to each other despite both battling their own addictions. They took it slow and even stayed away from each other until they could be honest with their feelings.
Good writing. I'm not a fan of the whole actress/director dynamic but it was good. I enjoyed the story and love that we get to see them more in Glass (which I already read).
I liked the box set !!!! Once you get to know the characters you enjoy it. Tells you about the crazy life living as an actress. The ups and downs, a crazy love story and heart break!!!
Don't really like books with young characters and when I read Star was nineteen I was going to stop reading....however I continued and I must say I really enjoyed The Star Trilogy....
