Sarai Britton has a nice life, a cozy life, nothing more adventurous than cuddling up with a good book and one of her eccentric Auntie G's many cats. She's spent three years of her life building one of the most popular book blogs on the web, and takes her work very seriously.
Gavin James is a football player from the UK turned international fashion model. He also happens to be on the cover of the hottest BDSM trilogy the world has seen. He's hot, tattooed, a bad boy with a reputation for breaking the hearts of the women he dates.
When Sarai literally falls for Gavin, her comfortable world is turned upside down. Thrust into the spotlight alongside the world's hottest man, will their burgeoning relationship have time to blossom before disaster tears it apart?
Sarai Britton is shy, nerdy, and a bookworm. She's a bookseller by day and a blogger by night. Sarai and her best-friend (whom I immediately hate and not so secretly hope gets hit by a bus in the next book) attend a book event and Sarai quite literally runs into the hottest cover model of the year. Gavin James knows from the second he see Sarai that he's interested and takes the time to find her after the event is over. Very well written and it definitely left me wanting more. I can't wait for part 2.
I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

A great start to the serial! The first in a serial introduces us to Sarai Britton, book store owner and devoted book blogger. Sarai is content living with her Auntie G and her plethora of cats while continuing to grow a devoted following to the book blog she has poured blood and sweat and tears into building. Attending a book event with her friend Jenny, she literally stumbles into Gavin James, a British soccer player turned model who currently adorns the cover of a favourite author’s recent work. With Jenny usually the one in the spotlight, Sarai is not used to the attention as she gives in to the instant attraction she has for Gavin. Gavin appears to be equally attracted and despite their differences, and feeling that a relationship between them could only lead to heartache, Sarai couldn’t deny the electricity that exists between them. With a thumbs up from her aunt, Sarai has to see where things will lead with Gavin even if a broken heart seems inevitable. I loved this novella, the first installment of the serial. The writing is top-notch with characters that are instantly likable. Sarai’s inner monologue reveals a funny, light-hearted take on life’s unending foibles. She does not have the obvious blonde beauty of her friend Jenny but her “girl next door” appeal is engaging. Auntie G, a wonderfully quirky character, provides Sarai with not only a stable influence but unconditional support as she still deals with the loss of her parents as a child. One can see why Sarai is so smitten with Gavin who is British (with the requisite sexy accent), handsome, romantic and calm in a crisis. The crisp, funny dialogue between the main characters is a treat. In typical serial fashion, the book ended at a pivotal point in the book. While the kindle may not have been tossed across the room in disappointment, there was certainly an audible groan of disappointment. The tension between Sarai and Jenny continues to simmer and you can feel the sexual energy between Gavin and Sarai gaining momentum. I can’t wait to see where it will lead!
This book starts off with a very G rated feel to it, but ends with the promise of hotness overload. This debut author did an excellent job of creating interesting characters, bringing you into the story, and keeping you entertained the whole way.
Sarai is presented as a very smart, extremely insecure, and pretty awkward book nerd. She works at a bookstore and has worked very hard at building her book blog with a huge fan base. She also seems to be perfectly content on living in her “best friend’s” shadow, who by the way I wanted to slap several time throughout this story.
Gavin is a well-known model. He’s sexy, sweet, and extremely popular with the ladies. He’s known for dating the beautiful, model type women. Gavin happens to be scheduled to attend the same author signing event that Sarai will be setting up a blog table.
Coming face to face at the event, the chemistry is immediate between Sarai and Gavin. Spending time together at the after party is only the beginning to getting to know each other. Sarai is finding it hard to believe that a man like Gavin can be interested in someone like her. And Gavin is doing his best to make Sarai feel beautiful and desired.
This was a great start to a series that I believe will be fun, sexy, and full of surprises. I’m looking forward to the next installment.
This is a beautiful sweet story about book worm Sarai Britton meeting the cover model of her dreams in the form of Gavin James.
Gavin is a hunky model who is on the cover of many of the erotic romance books Saria loves to read and blog about. She literally falls for him at a book convention she attends.
Gavin is nothing like she thought he would be. He's sweet, and kind, and handsome as hell. He is way too good for her, or so she tells herself. Her low opinion of herself is not helped by the snarky jealous comments her "best friend" directs her way. I just know this so-called friend is going to try derailing her new relationship at the first opportunity. But that is for the next volume to cover.
This first part is sweet and beautiful and I couldn't get enough of Gavin and Saria. I will be waiting in line for Part Two, due to be published later this month, and Part Three coming out in February.
I received this book for a honest review from the author.
This was a freaking awsome way to kick start this new serial. It was funny and lighthearted, Auntie G is more like sarai's best friend than her aunt the type of relationship they have. Her aunt was really comical and sweet, she has sarai's best interests at heart.
Gavin caring gentle and sweet with a sexy British accent. He is they type of boy your parents would love to have as a son in law.
Sarai is real bookworm, running a blog read and writing reviews. When she meets Gavin the sexual chemistry between them is off the charts, they will stike a match with all the heat coming from them when they are face to face. like all serials this ended just as things got spicy, I can’t wait to read what happens next.im sure there will be plenty of fireworks to come.
If you like quirky, fun romances, you'll love Sarai. She's wonderfully awkward, truly a girl cut from the same cloth as me. I don't want to give anything away. Go read it.
Was really excited when this popped up In my email....
Jaden Wilkes is one of my favourite Authors, writing here as Mina Holt.
This is a sweet, fluffy romance...not my normal thing but have to say I really enjoyed it
Sarai works in a bookstore and is obsessed with her books, she attends a book event where she meets Gavin who is a cover male model who everyone is lusting over. I adored her..she is full of self doubt and can't believe Gavin wants to spend time with her....some of her inner thoughts were just so funny
Now then, onto her so called best friend, Jenny.. she is insanely jealous that Gavin wasn't interested in her and is such a b*tch..God, I wanted to drag her off kicking and screaming and dump her in a dark forrest!!
Looks like being a sweet, sexy series, looking forward to next one
A debut author you must read! Mina creates a world that you just want to get lost in especially if that world includes the sexy Gavin James! Even his name is sexy! This is the start to a series and it is centered around a young girl who builds her book blog up and eventually meets Gavin at a book signing. Little does she know how much her life will change after this meeting. I won't say anymore because I don't want to give away the story.
Mina created very real characters, ones that will make you laugh, swoon and even one that you would smack if you were in a room with them. If you love getting lost in a story with a sexy guy and a sweet girl, then this is the story for you! This is an author to watch because I believe she is going places!
