If you love going on adventures of the mind and heart, then you’re in good company.
I’m Theresa Sederholt, and my passion lies in writing stories that connect to those who have withstood dramatic, personal experiences. I want to bring awareness and understanding by dealing with subject matter that is intimidating to navigate, and I do this across multiple genres.
On the flip side, I also like to whip up a steamy romance sprinkled with suspense that keeps you guessing until the end. Who doesn’t want happiness with a twist?

Darkness into Dawn is book 2 of the Unraveled trilogy and it starts right where book 1 ended. This book was well written, had a good plot, and you could not guess what was going to happen as every time I thought I could figure out what was happening the book did a turnaround that threw me off! The book is filled with emotional angst of every kind, had a lot of situations and minor pllots that kept the book going so that there was never a dull moment and kept my attention the whole length of the book.
The characters in this book were awesome, and while the characters from the first book were there, others were added, which made the plot more intriguing. The main characters of the story are Jax, Raven, the girl that he loves, and Maxwell, his best friend and associate. Jax's mom was quite prominent in the book as well, along with Jackie, Raven's best friend since college, who has fallen in love with Maxwell.
Along with everything that happened at the end of book 1 which I will not mention, in case you have not read it, a big bombshell is dropped right at the beginning of book 2 that causes a lot of shock and awe! This bombshell I will say involves Jax's mom, Jax, and Maxwell, and I could not believe what was revealed. On top of all of this Raven, who has been in so much turmoil since she was a little girl, with unimaginable things done to her also has something revealed to her, that rocks her world, so this was the second thing that happens.
Along with all this going on Jax wants to get married to Raven, and while she loves him desperately, she can't help but feel overwhelmed with everything that is going on in everyone's lives. Jax loves Raven to the point of being a true alpha type character and tries to get her to see reason, but he goes about it the wrong way, always trying to tell Raven how it will be rather than realizing that he needs to compromise sometimes, and this makes for a few really funny scenes between them. Jax finally gets Raven to marry him and here is a typical Jax type thing; he only gives her 2 days to get ready!
After this happens all kinds of things start happening of a bad nature and the rush to get to safety is on. You really need to read this book, and you will not believe how many things happen to the characters involved and what the outcome is.
I just want to add that throughout book 1 and 2, we see how Jax has fallen in love instantly with Raven and she with him, and it is so touching the things that Jax does that shows how much he loves her, and it is also a good example that love at first sight actually does exist! At the wedding the song Jax has played for their first dance shows the depths of his feelings for Raven"
This is my love song to you Let every woman know I’m yours So you can fall asleep each night, babe And know I’m dreaming of you more
You’re always hoping that we make it You always want to keep my gaze Well you’re the only one I see And that’s the one thing that won’t change
I’ll never stop trying I’ll never stop watching as you leave I’ll never stop losing my breath Every time I see you looking back at me I’ll never stop holding your hand I’ll never stop opening your door I’ll never stop choosing you babe I’ll never get used to you
And with this love song to you It’s not a momentary phase You are my life, I don’t deserve you But you love me just the same And as the mirror says we’re older I will not look the other way You are my life, my love, my only And that’s the one thing that won’t change
This is how they love each other and this is what makes this book so special, not only is it a mystery, but it also the story of a man's desperate love for the one woman he will never be able to live without! I loved this book!
I gave this book a 5***** star rating and can't wait for book 3, to see how this whole series comes to a conclusion. I want to thank Theresa Sederholdt for writing 2 great stories and she will be on my automatic 1 click list always!
“My life didn’t start until you came crashing into it. I want everyone to know that I’m one lucky bastard – the luckiest in the whole world. I want to experience life everyday throughout your eyes.”
“You made me feel hope, you made me feel love. You made me think of the future. That scared me half to death.”
“I’m ready to come back to the land of the living, and I want to start and end my days with you.”
“We are all books, waiting to be opened, the pages filled with all of life’s unknowns just begging to be shared. Please share the rest of your life with me.”
My Review:
Darkness Into Dawn is a non-stop genre hopping adventure of family drama, crime, suspense, and erotic romance. Oh yeah. These characters don’t just make love, they consume each other, and their loves scenes leave me gasping like an airborne guppy. The story is highly active, unfailingly entertaining, and unpredictable. Breathtaking sensuality, high drama, and well-plotted intrigue all appear to be in Ms. Sederholt’s wheelhouse. Book hangovers apparently are now in mine as I make my way through her meaty stories, since I am totally enthralled and cannot seem to put my kindle down. It is not often that a sequel tops the initial story, but that has surely happened here. With this in mind, I cannot wait to see what she does with book #3, which I will start immediately after my nap.
After reading The Unraveling of Raven, I couldn't wait for this book to see how everything turned out. Once I got my hands on this, I couldn't put it down! It continues from where book 1 left off. We see what happens to Max and we of course have more Jax and Raven and more drama. It kept me on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen and I loved every minute of it. The other characters from the first book are there too and alot of questions are answered as well as now ones arising. New things were revealed that had me shocked! Kudos to the author for doing that because I'm sure no one will expect it.
I can tell you that there will be a 3rd book, and you will want that now..We get a little preview of what's to come and wow!! If you havent had a chance to read this series, start with The Unraveling of Raven first and it leads into this book. If you want something that will keep you on the edge of your seats, enjoy these 2 books. :)
Darkness into Dawn is the continuation of The Unraveling Raven and picks up right after the first book. Now we not only have Jax and Raven's saga but Maxwell and Jackie the secondary characters in the first book.
Maxwell-Jax's best friend and associate and Jackie-Raven's college roomate. There are twist and turns in this book that will keep you wondering along with a little surprise that I didn't see coming towards the end. Of course Jax is still as ever smitten and totally in love with Raven and so much that he wants to marry Raven only this is Raven still have her reservations not with Jax her own personal reservations.
Theresa has done a wonderful job with this saga of healing and mending the heart along with falling in love at just the right moment.
I loved this book! I'll be honest after reading The Unraveling of Raven, I wasn't sure if I wanted to continue wth the series. TUoR had a lot going on and made it difficult to get into the book. This book, however, was not like that in any way. It had a main plot that didn't veer off the path. I got sucked in and finished it in one sitting.
Theresa Sederholt has done a wonderful job with this book. Her writing is progressing and I can't wait to read the next installment and her future books!
This second book in the Unraveled Trilogy picks up from the intense cliffhanger from book one (The Unraveling of Raven). This is definitely not a stand alone- I highly suggest reading The Unraveling of Raven first. The continuation of the characters and plot flowed beautifully and this installment was much better written. Jax and Raven's relationship grows deeper as they uncover family secrets. We learn more about Max, who was my favorite from book one. Jackie (Raven's best friend) plays a major role in breaking down the walls Max has built up to survive. As their pasts unfold they are exposed to life-threatening situations that had me furiously turning the pages. An excellent read meant for mature audiences due to language and sex scenes. Looking forward to the last installment.
Please make sure you read Unraveling Raven before reading Darkness Into Dawn review below, it will have spoiler’s.
I had the pleasure of reading the first book and I fell in love with the authors writing and the characters in her story. I have been waiting for this one to be released ever since I finished Unraveling Raven. I love the multiple POV’s the author adds into the story. It makes things more interesting for me and I find that I can connect with the characters a lot more. The characters in this story are all intense, passionate and have this fierce protective love for each other and those they love. This is a wrap up to Jax and Raven’s story. I really love how the author ties up all the loose ends in their story as well delivers a HEA for them. I have to admit I really loved this story more than I did the first. The characters felt like they had more depth and just felt really well developed since Unraveling Raven.
We get to meet more characters in this one and I found their plots and involvement in this story made everything more intriguing. Of course this also added some more twists and turns within the story. At the end of the first book there was a major revelation and this is where this one starts off. With the ending we got I really needed to know what happened next. I was left with my mouth open. The storyline and major WTF moment in this one has to do with Jax’ family. I all I can say is what the hell! I did not see this coming. Raven is dealing with so many life changing events. She will have another major revelation revealed and this one just adds to all the chaos in her life.
Jax and Raven are moving forward with their lives trying to work on their relationship and the new future they created together. Even though Jackson and his security detail rescued Raven from danger they are still feeling the effects of the event. The danger is still present and Jax fears for Raven as well as her friends and their families’ safety. Jackson is a dominant, possessive and fierce character. His love for Raven is just so intense he will do whatever he has to do to protect Raven and their future. There are times that Jax goes overboard with the need to protect her but it is hard for him to balance his feelings. He hasn’t ever known a love like the one he has with Raven.
“Hey do you want to talk?”
“I need to hold you in my arms all night long. Please don’t ever leave me, I think I would die.”
Raven has to deal with so many life changing events and revelations but her love for Jax never faltered. Jax’ alpha male ways turns her on but when he goes overboard she has to find a way to let he him know he must include her in his plans. She also needs to have a life outside of him. I love Raven’s character. She is stronger despite all that she has been through and will go through. Raven does not want to live in fear and constantly having to hide out from a past that is determined to have her. She is trying to find a way to have the life she has always envisioned with the man she loves while trying to keep all that she loves safe.
“Jax, look at me, please you are my end all. When you get all alpha male on me, it makes me so f****** crazy, I just want to jump your bones. Even though you make me crazy mad, you also make me crazy hot. Now get naked and f*** me hard!”
“Sweetheart, do you think you are ready for me? Look at me! Raven, I love you. All that I am, and all that I will ever be, in this world is yours for life. I’m baring my soul to you now.”
Raven, Jax and the gang all band together to get rid of the danger and keep all those they love safe. When all is said and done, new beginning’s and promises of tomorrow will be made but this is when we get another secret revelation that will send the gang reeling to find answers. This is a trilogy and yes we will have a lot wrapped up in the lives of these couples, but at the end of this book, we get a taste of what’s to come. Let me say it looks promising. I can’t wait for more angst and suspense.
WOW!! ACTION PACKED AND EMOTIONAL! A MUST READ!! This is the second in The Unraveled Series the first book The Unraveling of Raven was fantastic and book two does not disappoint! Theresa Sederholt has used her capability to have your emotions up and down and all around! What a talent!! Jaxson will stop at nothing to keep his family safe. Now that he knows some of Raven’s history he knows there are people out there that will try to hurt her to keep her quiet. Jax is not a man to sit back and wait things out he believes in taking action to keep all of them safe. That is why he has his best friend and body guard Maxwell hired because Max is the best at what he does. Raven has discovered a life changing event and she has to tell Jax. He is over the moon. She knows she has to have the security but it does make her uncomfortable and Raven wants things to be normal. First she is in love with the most eligible and wealthy bachelor in the world and second there are some nasty people after her and she knows that her security detail is a necessity. There are so many things in Raven’s life that she will discover. People she was told were dead are not, family she didn’t know anything about surface and people she loves betray her in the worse possible way. Her only lifeline is Jax. Maxwell has been a loner looking for death since he lost the two most precious people in the world to him. He would put down his life for Jax and now Raven and Jax’s family. He is the head of security and does his job very well. Max has had tragedy in his life since he was a child. He doesn’t know about all the secrets that have been kept from him for years but soon will find out. These secrets open up a new meaning to his life and will change things for Jax and Max. Jackie is Raven’s best friend from college and they both teach at the same school, but when Raven becomes a target so does Jackie by association. That’s when Jackie meets Max. Can they have a relationship even with the age difference between them? When Max is wounded in a man hunt Jackie stays with him night and day at the hospital. She has fallen in love with this James Bond, but can he let go of his past? Vincent is ruthless and won’t stop until he has Raven. His family and associates reach far and wide. He has the resources to get what he wants and what Vincent wants Vincent gets and it doesn’t matter the cost financially or in lives! He is pure evil!! Their home is a hot spot now. Will they all be able to find a safe haven? Theresa Sederholt has written a second book that is just as good and powerful as the first!! Can’t wait to read the third book!!
Wow, in my opinion Darkness into Dawn was fabulous. I enjoyed the first book Unraveling Raven, but it didn’t give me the emotions and physical reaction like this one did. I could feel my heart break during certain scenes and the rapid heartbeat when the twists and turns took over in the plot. From page one we are thrown in the world of the unknown in regards to one of the favorite characters. We watch love grow and be shattered, we have the confusion over what is protection and what is control. The author gave us the glories of new life and the threat of life ending. This book reads like a modern day soap opera that you couldn’t stop watching.
I would strongly suggest you read book one, Unraveling Raven first so you will fully get the understanding of this plot. Raven has been through hell and back when finally at the chance of finding her happiness the secrets and evil continue to invade her world. Jax is the ever loving, sexy, protective man who sometimes loses sight as to what is protecting the people in his life versus being controlling and assertive. The author did a fabulous job at untangling this mess with all of the characters involved, it was well played and as realistic as fiction can be.
The secondary characters are no longer in the background, each had their own piece of the story to carry in this book and I loved getting to see Jackie and Max figure out their tangled web of life and fight through the doubt and insecurities each had. I loved the role Jax’s mom had in this story and the secrets she held for so long. While we see the ones we grew to love and hate in book one, we are also introduced to new plots and characters that will carry over to book 3.
I could go on forever about each shocking new twists or how I feel about the answers to my questions in book one, but I will refrain. I don’t want to spoil anything for you. Just know that the author out did herself in this series. You rarely have a down moment to catch your breath as she lays out everything in perfect step to keep stringing you along till a shocker happens. I can hardly wait for the next book and see what brilliance she is going to give us once again. The characters are so well developed and this story is character driven. I feel like I know them so well I can almost predict how they are going to react to situations, but the author keeps me on my toes. I highly recommend this series but make sure you start at book one, you don’t want to miss a detail of this story.
Darkness into Dawn is the second book in The Unraveling Series by Theresa Sederholt. It is not a standalone novel and book 1, The Unraveling of Raven, must be read first.
Book 1 left us on a pretty big cliff-hanger where we see Max and Vincent meet. Tragedy has struck and now it’s a waiting game. Huge secrets are uncovered and lies are revealed. Raven and Jax are once again fighting for not only their lives but the lives of the ones they hold dear. Will they ever be able to have a normal life? Will anyone be truly safe ever again?
Darkness into Dawn picks up exactly where The Unraveling of Raven finished and with a big bombshell. Again with the first book there are plenty of twists and turns and just when you think you know what’s going to happen the author throws a massive curveball. You are definitely kept guessing right until the very end.
We see all the characters from book 1 return and it is written from multiple Points of View so more of the characters have their say and we can access their inner thoughts and fears. Jax’s Mom features quite heavily in this book as does Ravens best friend Jackie. In fact I felt that Max and Jackie featured in this book just as much as Raven and Jax. There is a lot of sex in this book, and I mean a lot! Although the scenes are excellently written, I personally felt that they were a little too frequent, I’m not sure anyone has as much sex as these lot do! It was also in these scenes that I had to again (as in book 1) overlook the repetitive use of certain words and phrases, but as mentioned before the sex scenes were really well written.
I thought that the story line progressed slowly but well over the book and there were no obvious plot holes.
I have a feeling something good and unexpected is going to happen in book 3, the final book in the series, and I can’t wait to read it!
I give Darkness into Dawn 4 stars.
Darkness into Dawn contains strong language and explicit sex scenes therefore it is intended for mature audiences only.
Darkness into Dawn (The Unraveled Trilogy Book 2) By: Theresa Sederholt 5 out of 5 stars
The story Darkness into Dawn (The Unraveled Trilogy Book 2) by Teresa Sederholt is a romantic suspense book. It continues the story of Raven and Jax. Both know that they love each other and promise they will do anything for each other. Now that promise is going to be put to the test. Darkness keeps surrounding them and everyone they hold dear. With so much at stake and seemingly so much against them, Raven and Jax must learn to rely on themselves and others to get through. There is also secrets that are revealed. Will there love pull them together or will it be too much and tear them apart? With all of the evil and danger surrounding them, their family and their friends will any be left standing?
The second book in the Unraveled Trilogy is intense. Things are happening at a very fast pace which leaves all wondering if it will ever stop or be safe for not only for Raven and Jax, but their family as well. This is also a time of discovery and new relationships. The emotions that you feel, sadness and happiness, anxiety and relief, anger and love, all are part of this story which will leave you feeling as if you are on a roller coaster ride that never ends. This story is told from the POV of Raven, Jax, Maxwell, and Jackie. All four of them really grow in their love for one another and their determination that they will come out on top of any situation. There are other familiar characters you will recognize from the first book and some new ones as well. They all have a part to play and I would have a hard time deciding if anyone asked to remove one.
This is one of the most awesome stories that I have read. There is one book left and I just know it will be as wonderful as this one and the first. If there is a series that I would recommend that be read and put to the top of your to be read list, it’s this one. There is adult language, violence and hot and steamy love scenes. This story should be read by anyone 18 year or older.

Once again Theresa Sederholt writing totally captures the reader with her ability to create deep, relatable characters. I once again read this all in one sitting as this series is so hard to put down.
This book was a page-turner from start to finish. With another question filled ending, I cannot wait to get into the 3rd and final book in the Unravelled Trilogy.
This is a peer review. “All the money and power in the world means nothing.” -Jaxson in Darkness into Dawn by Theresa Sederholt. The ending in The Unraveling of Raven kept me at the edge of my seat, and then some. I eagerly purchased Darkness into Dawn and equipped my reading chair with all the essentials (hazelnut spread with my lucky spoon, a box of tissues, and a bottle of rum) just in case. The first thing I noticed when I flipped the first page was the growth between the first book and this one. Sederholt’s writing gained a deeper dimension, and while I absolutely loved The Unraveling of Raven, Darkness into Dawn blew my socks off. Page after page I was enthralled with the journey of this incredible cast of characters: Jaxson, Raven, Maxwell, Jackie, among others, and more than once my emotions were plucked like a fiddle. “I will not let fear rule me; I rule fear.” -Raven in Darkness into Dawn by Theresa Sederholt In Darkness into Dawn we see a side of Jaxson we have not seen before. What happens to a man who has all the wealth at his fingertips and the world at entire disposal? What occurs when circumstances take away the one thing that matters the most to him? You will have to read this book to find out those answers. Before reading Sederholt’s work I was thirsty for a story that would keep me at the edge of my seat, with a storyline so compelling I wouldn’t have a choice but to read it into the wee hours of the morning. Having read and loved this book’s predecessor, I was worried I would end up disappointed as most sequels hardly ever live up to the occasion. I was sorely mistaken. This book exceeded all of my preconceived notions. The prose is riveting, exciting, and sexy as all hell. If you like Romantic Suspense novels, The Unraveled Series is the one for you, and Darkness into Dawn is an incredible addition to Sederholt’s Trilogy. It’s a no-brainer for me. Five Stars. Brava.
Darkness into Dawn by Theresa Sederholt ******5******
"Courage is not living without fear. Courage is being scared to death and doing the right thing anyway."
Tragedy struck and now it is a waiting game. Secrets are revealed and lies uncovered. O one will be the same from these revelations and unfortunately there are more to come. Their new beginnings are overshadowed by a past that threatens to tear them apart. This picks up where Max is shot and he pushes Jackie away because he thinks that is the best for him. He does not want to be a burden to her so he decides to let her go knowing it will kill him. Maxwell's past is introduced and you see why he takes the path he does. He gave his heart away once and it ended in tragedy. Max soon realizes he made a big mistake pushing Jackie away and realizes he needs her for his survival. But now he has to fight to get her back and it will not be easy. Meanwhile Raven finds out her mother has been alive all this time and they go to get her and Jackie and bring them home. During this book we see Jax grow and learn not to bulldoze his way but he learns to negotiate with Raven. Raven also learns when to picker battles with Jax. These books will leave you with such a hangover . I was lucky I got to read all three books one after another or I would have killed Theresa! Lol. This book was better than the first one if that is at all.possible. "My life did not start until you came crashing into it. You made me feel hope and love and made me think of the future. That scared me to death. Raven the moment I looked into your violet eyes it but me. It was immediate and powerful, far deeper and inexplicable beyond any calculation of time and space. You do not describe a feeling like that. You cannot replicate it or force it. You just let it flow in and around you. You go where it takes you. You are my lifeline in the storm.
Sometimes there are authors who write characters that are just so much more than the average character. To this, Sederholt has given us Raven Anderson. And to balance Raven, Sederholt has given her Jaxson Phillips. Not only are these two very much in love but they are strong, faithful and caring. “She takes me in her arms and holds me gently. I don’t have to say a thing; she knows what I need and she knows that, right now, she is my lifeline. I need to be strong for everyone else, but with her, I can just be.” Darkness Into Dawn is book 2 in The Unraveled Trilogy by Theresa Sederholt. This story is a continuation from book 1. You must read book one because it was simply awesome but also because it explains what’s going on. It explains why Max is in the hospital, it explains a little of why Jax and Max are the way they are, it explains what happened to Joseph and to Marco. Just as the first book included many characters but focused mostly on Jax and Raven, this book includes many of those same characters but with the emphasis on Max and Jackie. Max is not only best friends with Jax but also his head of security. Will this friendship be put to the test as secrets are revealed that push Max to his limits? Jackie is Raven’s best friend and has fallen in love with Max. Even though Max is older than Jackie, they both are attracted to each other. Jackie shakes Max’s world and easily tears down walls Max has around his heart. “Cherish the fact that you have some happy memories. Remembering them will always keep their spirits alive. It’s okay to feel, Max, it’s when you stop feeling that the walls go up.” More twists and turns in this unbelievable adventure and not everything is as it seems. Sederholt pulls you in and doesn’t let you go. These characters are easy to love and the bad guys are easy to hate. Highly recommend this book.
Darkness Into Dawn is book two and picks up right where The Unraveling of Raven left off. Thankfully because that was a pretty big cliffhanger in the first book!
Because there was a cliffhanger I do not want to give anything away so I am not going into any details.
This book kept me on the edge of my seat. I think I slightly turned into Jax as I found myself starting to not trust anyone and thinking there was some hidden secrets behind some of the characters.
I really liked seeing the characters develop further. Book one introduced us to everyone so Darkness Into Dawn could delve further into each of the characters while introducing new ones and adding to the storyline.
In book two, Jax’s overpowering self shines through even as he is trying to reign it in. I loved watching Jax and Raven’s relationship develop in this story.
As with the first, we got different perspectives from each of the characters. I really love this because we get more perspective to the different issues that arise and in this story, there are a LOT of different issues this family is dealing with. There were times I found myself holding my breath when I didn’t realize I was. I kept trying to anticipate something bad happening (again, this is when I think I turned into Jax). But there is also a lot more steamy romance scenes. I really got the feeling that there is no one else that would be a better match for Jax than Raven. It was nice to see her strong side become more prominent.
Just when the story wrapped up nicely, we see that there is more to come. This didn’t end in a cliffhanger but left the door open for more adventures with this family. It will be awesome to see what is in stor for them next!
If I thought that after the first book this trilogy couldn’t get any better… I was dead wrong!
I was ready to throw in the towel after the first book, on the level of excitement. I thought: ‘Enough with all the violent actions, I just want Raven and Jax to be able to ride off into the sunset together, living happily ever after and basically have s*x on a beach for the next two books, they don’t deserve anything less!
But by thinking that, I wasn’t counting on Theresa Sederholt’s clever writing style, just simply sucking me back in.
In this book, Raven and Jax are still the pièce the résistance, but there is also a new power-couple coming into play. Jackie and Max. If there was ever another couple more deserving to ride off to a beach, than Raven and Jax, it’s Jackie and Max!
Two people clearly made for each other, who have to fight to be able to have the relationship they both so dearly want. Does age matter? Does occupation matter? These questions are asked by so many people in life, and in this book, it is no different.
There is certainly a shuffle in prominent characters in this book, however I am not one to spoil other people’s fun! I spent every waking moment, rooting for the people I love in these books, and hooting the ones I don’t.
Let’s just say: Everyone in this books, gets what they have coming, be it good, a step up, a step down, on downright bad.
What I love about this trilogy is that everything flows superbly. There is not a single dull moment where I wanted to put this book down. Book 1 also flowed seamlessly into book 1.
Believe me when I say, that you will not be sorry for a single minute you started reading this instalment of The Unraveled Trilogy.

SYNOPSIS:
This is book 2 in a series and honestly, you need to read book one to enjoy this book. We were only tasked to read book two, so we took it upon ourselves to check out the first so that our review could be more honest.
The series revolves around Raven and Jax and the mysteries revolving around Raven. Book one introduced us to all of it and Book two delves deeper into the intrigue and mystery.
THE REVIEW:
The Good: We liked book one, but weren't completely sold on the series. It was good and the main characters were very entertaining, but something just didn't GRAB us like we wanted. (It was still easily 4 stars)
This second book the author seems to come into her own more. We loved it. The characters were more developed and their connection literally jumps off the pages and really girls who doesn't want a rich millionaire to save the day and set our bodies on fire? Hmmm? You get Max and Jackie in this book, and we really love them.
The Bad: This is a trilogy. So you're not going to get your big payoff in this book. Some love that, some don't. It's worth it to us because this character has a way of pulling you in.
This is the second book in the Unraveled Trilogy. You do need to read the fist one to understand what is going on in this book. The first and second do leave you in cliffhangers and boy are they a whopper of a cliffhanger. I have read other books by Theresa Sederholt and let me just say her books should be a movie. I can even picture the people to play the characters. I love how this series is a switch POV'S, it just makes the whole book. You see what everyone is thinking, how they are handling everything, and I feel this is what takes me on an emotional ride. I spiraled out of control with my emotions in this book. I felt I was left hanging just at the good part.
This book does pick off were the first one left off, it opens on Jaxson's POV. In this book you see everyone come together to support Max after he goes in to take out the threat to his family. You see that Jax has tried to tone down his bulldozing ways but he is still overbearing and I love it. Raven wow she is such a strong woman, finding out your mother is still alive, dealing with Jax, having a crazy Mob family and being pregnant. Wow I feel tired just thinking about her. Jackie awe she is so sweet. You see her fall hopelessly in love with Max and she even gives him a second chance. It's a fairytale romance. They are both so stubborn though that you want to shake them. Max in this book you see just how strong he is. From coming out of a coma to healing to having secrets revealed that involve Jax and his sister Bella. In this book you see justice, love, new life and new beginnings but sometimes you need closure from the past. Only the past and wanting closure can open a whole new can of worms.
I feel bad for any fan of Sederholt who had to wait for this book to come out. I must say, in that respect, I lucked out. This sequel to The Unraveling of Raven was already out when I stumbled into the series. If you haven’t read the first book, this book will not make complete sense to you. I suggest you go and grab The Unraveling of Raven before reading this one. Trust me, its worth it!
Do not continue reading if you have not read The Unraveling of Raven.
Again, Sederholt has impressed me with her ability to use trigger topics to her advantage, as well as drop names of organizations that really need the publicity. Thank you, Theresa Sederholt, for doing this.
Raven, Jackie, Jax, Max and the gang are back. Unfortunately, it becomes clear early in that this isn’t going to be a fun ride. The book opens on the cliff hanger from the previous novel, and takes you through the weave Sederholt so competently creates throughout the text.
I’m not ashamed to admit that I cried in places, and cheered in others. Sederholt invests her readers into the novel, then rips emotions from them as they continue to battle with mysterious pasts and twisted perceptions.
Again, just as you think everything is tied up in a neat bow, Sederholt rips the package apart and shows a little more of the fabric she has woven.
Fast paced, exciting, and completely mystifying, Sederholt has made book two in the Unraveled series better than the first. If you love a good mystery, action, or contemporary romance, you’ll love Darkness into Dawn. Five stars from me.
Theresa Sederholt has made a unique addicting series with The Unraveled Trilogy. I strongly suggest reading book one The Unraveling of Raven, you learn the background and important details of how Darkness Into Dawn (Book two) came to be. I love Theresa Sederholts writing style in this series, the writing and characters flows so well into everything. In Darkness Into Dawn you learn Max’s back story and why he is the way he is in life, in love, an in combat. Max’s relationship with Jackie is put to the test throughout this story the ultimate question for Max is “Is Jackie better off and safer if she is not in his life?” For Jackie the question is “Was it all a lie?”. When more people from Ravens family come out to harm her can the team work together and maintain their strong bond that has gotten them through everything in their lives so far… There are many ups and downs in this book, happiness, loss, reunions, court cases. One quote that I loved most from this books however was “Courage is not living without fear. Courage is being scared to death and doing the right thing anyways. By Chae Richardson.” There are so many moments of courage in this book you begin to wonder will they ever get a break but somehow they manage to keep a somewhat positive outlook, even in the worst of times when many others would have given up. Including the one big secret the threatens to break their bond. The point of view in this story comes from all of the main characters: Jax, Max, Raven and Jackie. There is some violence and sexual activity.
Darkness into Dawn is the second book in The Unraveled Trilogy by Theresa Sederholt. Being together and preparing for a baby should be an exciting time for a couple, but what happens when the drama and life events just will not stop. Raven and Jax are not only preparing to bring life into the world, but are still living the effects of kidnappings and shootings. Add into the mix best friends who are not willing to take the chance on a love of their own and it is just a mess all around. Dealing with the problems that arise from Raven's family being high powered people, they are never quite in the clear. It seems there will always be people after them! The aftermath of Maxwell's shooting and the trouble that is bringing Jackie's way. There just seems to be more and more trouble. But a secret that none of them saw coming is just about to come out! How will Maxwell, Bella, and Jax deal with the feelings of betrayal that comes with being lied to and played? This story as a continuation is awesome!! I love the way the story just continues to flow! Also the way Theresa Sederholt can just grab you and take you on a ride of a lifetime! Each time I finish a book in this series I just cant seem to wait to start the next one. I absolutely love how she keeps bring back characters and letting them have their own story inside the story. It keeps me up to date without having to read different series for different characters!
Just when you think an author/book can't get any better, they release another one, that completely blows the previous one out of the water. (Hint: If you haven't read the first story, "The Unraveling of Raven", then this story will not make sense!) The gang is all back for another story, unfortunately for them, its not going to be smooth sailing. It picks up right where the first book ends, and takes you on yet another bumpy, twisty, and winding road. The emotions that are packed into this story will have you feeling like you're all over the place, I cried and laughed, and was sad when they were sad. Theresa really makes you feel connected to the characters in such a special way. Secrets were a huge part in The Unraveling of Raven, but believe it or not, there are even more secrets buried between this family. Each chapter unveiled more than the last. Everything was completely unexpected. Some characters that were secondary in the previous book played a completely different role in this book. While there are things that are still unresolved by the end of the book, it ends on yet another cliffhanger. Some things are resolved Theresa Sederholt has once again left me with questions, and impatiently waiting to read book number 3.
Book two of The Unraveled Trilogy was a world wind of crazy. I couldn’t keep up. It was drama after drama. Don’t get me wrong I enjoyed the book. Now I can’t spoil this exciting news but boy do I want to. So much happened in book one that I didn’t know what to expect from book two. Was I expecting chaos? YES! Jax and Raven have found out that they're expecting a little bundle of joy. But with all the good comes the bad. Max life is in danger and Jax can’t get to him fast enough. Their lives are full of danger and the unknown. How will their family survive? Jax's need to keep everyone safe has become over the top crazy. Not only for his family but for Raven and her friends as well. Raven has experienced so much heartache and pain that it’s a miracle that she is still sane. She learns she has a brother and that her uncle rapped and traumatized her mother daily until she broke. Jackie is in love with Max but he is afraid to get close. What if she is killed because of him? I liked this book. Though it was overwhelming with all the information and charges happening. Every page was a new crisis. I like drama just not so much at once. You never really get to enjoy the relationships. I love a good secret and An is hiding some really big ones. A good read even with the crazy.
Another wonderful book by Theresa! After much anticipation I was finally able to read the second book in this trilogy. I am so hooked! Darkness into Dawn continued with the hot and steamy sex between Raven and Jax, as well as another couple whom I won't mention just in case you haven't read the Unraveling of Raven, which you absolutely must read.
What I really loved about this book was that I felt the characters were further developed and we got to learn so much more about every character and even some new characters. There's steamy sex interwoven into a phenomenal story line that keeps getting better and better. My stomach was in knots for a few chapters thinking, "What's going to happen next?!" Then, just as I thought all is well and I'm enjoying the happiness of the characters, as well as the humor, I reach the end and sure enough, the author reels me in and teases me with the prologue for the final book.
If you love a steamy love book, a well created plot with twists and turns that will keep you hooked and on the edge of your seat, you need to read this book!
You ever get so excited and caught up in a story that you can't help but turn the page fast enough? Darkness into Dawn picks up where The Unraveling of Raven leaves off. Each characters seemed to take on a story and path of their own. Those you started to like you end up loving and some you thought you hated you begin to see in a new light.
I've always loved Jax's possessiveness and control for those he loves but now it's their safety that out weighs it all. Raven is his calm but his world is being pulled and stretch in directions that he can not control. There is still that lingering threat and he's trying to deal with it in typical Jax fashion.
Max has a past which can no longer stay in the past if Jackie is to be his future. Secrets held for so long can no longer stay hidden and he's not the only one holding them.
This part of their story continues to drag you and your heart across peaks of emotion as you continue to sit on the edge of your seat. As you read on you can see the fluidity of Ms. Sederholts writing as well as the change and growth of her characters. I love this story and can't wait to see what happens next !
In book two of three, Theresa Sederholt has proven that this trilogy only gets better with time. After all of the crazy and exciting events that happened in book one, I thought there was no way possible that she could captivate and command my attention the way she did. In the beginning of Darkness Into Dawn we are coming off multiple twists and turns. We learn the true identity of Raven and find out that she has a brother that her mother gave up for adoption. We are left with trying to put the pieces of this crazy puzzle together after she is kidnapped not once but twice. We are introduced to more of Jax’s family and are left with a warm, fuzzy, take charge feeling as they all fight to save Raven from the evil hands of her uncle Vincent. With so many ups and downs in this book there is no wonder why when it comes to family Jaxson would risk everything. A great highlight and addition to the story line is the romance between Jackie and Maxwell which sparked in book one. But with Max being in a coma and the family not knowing if he will pull through and the new threats on the family and their lives I have to wonder will they ever be safe and be able to live a normal life.
This story of Raven & Jaxson continues and still so much happens in their life's that challenges their strength, love & faith and yet their love for each other just gets stronger than before when they think they can't love each other anymore than they already do. so many secrets come out they learn so much about family they didn't know and just when you think their going to break and lose it they become a stronger family showing they won't let fear stop them max, Jackie, an, and the rest of the characters are just as strong and play such a great role in telling this story... If you have not read The unraveling Of Raven ( The unraveled Trilogy ) I say it's a must read and if you have and have not read this book which is book 2 to the trilogy you so need to get on it. your missing out on a great Trilogy if you don't read this. Great books and a awesome author I can't say enough about how much I love this trilogy.!.!.!...
This book started right where Unravelling of Raven left off Max shot in the head at the hospital and Jax, Raven and Jackie worried sick. Wow so many twist and turns again you never know who's telling the truth! Raven is so emotional being pregnant and so sassy! We finally get to meet Raven's mom who is so funny and sweet even after all she went through. Jax is still overprotective and such a funny guy to Raven. This book is focused on Max we find out his secrets and why he pushes Jacki away. Will Jax and Raven finally live happily ever after? Will Max and Jacki finally be together? What's secrets is Jax's mom hiding? This second book totally surprised me!! Can't wait to read the next book and hope it's smooth sailing 5/5 stars Reviewed for Sweet & Spicy Reads - ARC provided for a honest review ***
This family takes having secrets to a whole new level. I swear every other chapter there was a secret told. I am not sure how Theresa kept sane writing this book.
There is no time gap between book one and this book. Max is hurt along with Jackie.
Jax is his trying to come to terms with some things but gets very overwhelmed. Raven and her pregnancy hormones kick in an their sex is yeah.....
Like I said more secrets, family reunions and deaths.
There are happy tears to be shed and then you are left with "what?" I swear I hate cliffhanger endings....I can't wait to see what happens in the third book. It is more like I really need to find out right now.
