Charis Loving

At twenty-three-years-old, I just graduated with a business finance degree from Delta Valley State University and has always been the pride of my family. I’m expecting to start at my dad’s finance firm but I’m ready to break free and forge my own path. I’ve already started applying to other jobs and I’ll be relocating from Memphis to Houston to pursue my own dreams. But only one hurdle stands in my way, telling my dad. Will my decision cause a rift between me and my family?

Dani Mills

Graduating along with my best friends, Charis, Jessica, and Kyah, I’m an aspiring defense attorney and will be doing an internship this summer. I can’t wait for our move to Houston to start fresh, especially since my on-again-off-again relationship with my girlfriend has reached its breaking point. Getting to our destination, I’m excited for the adventure that awaits. However, what I wasn’t ready for is crossing paths with the most beautiful, magnetic, charismatic, and powerful man that commands respect in any room—and from everyone, challenging my previous notions of attraction. This new revelation sends my world and my body into a complete tailspin. Can I really handle what Houston is offering?

"Knocked Up By A Houston King" follows the lives of four best friends as they embark on their real life journey post-college. Charis and Dani navigate their new lives in Houston, while the other two, Jessica and Kyah, deals with the hard knock life in Memphis. This is a mind-blowing yet loving tale of friendship, loyalty, protection, revenge, and the pursuit of dreams. Together, the crew faces obstacles of love, loss, self-discovery, and the complexities of their new lives.

DNF the grammar is a mess from the very start, it’s too many people tryna tell a story 29 chapters spilt among 10 people and basically it’s not even a stand alone like this the primer for something or at least that’s what it seems. I did flip to the end just to see and yeah it ends in carnage and mess

Wow

This was a good read but that ending kinda put me in my feelings. Tyler especially didn't deserve to be avenged. He and his daddy deserved their fate and his mama should have joined them so it wouldn't have ended like this.💝💝

interesting…

Well the storyline was a little all over the place for me. There were a lot of typos and at times this was hard to follow. I stuck it through and finished it, but out of the “knocked up” series this one was not one of my favorites. I did like the ending, because oddly enough I like when they aren’t traditional happy endings lol. I think it was just too many people to follow in this particular story and the storylines didn’t mesh well. This is my first read by this author, so I’m going to look into her other work to get a feel for her style of writing 💜

What Happens When Accountability Is Never Had?

Tay De'Nay. Lawd today. This was so goodt! I never saw the end. I also enjoyed you giving folk a different way to live. I know it's gonna be a hard road for the girls all because of misguided mothers' love.
I believe the girls deserve the right to be happy. You know you're gonna have to give an update cause baby. This read needs to have more info. 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤨🤨

SERIOUSLY 🙄🙄🙄🤬🤬🤬

IT WASN’T ENOUGH TO HAVE THE "STREET" ISH OVER SHADOW WHAT THE BOOK WAS SUPPOSED TO BE ABOUT. YOU REALLY LET THAT CRACKED OUT DOMESTIC 🥷 PEOPLE HAVE THE LAST SAY SO💀💀💀

THE BOOK DIDN’T REALLY GET GODS UNTIL 50% IN, THEN BOOM, THE FORCED STREET ISH RUINED THAT MOMENT.

I WAS REALLY HOPING THE REVIEWS WERE WRONG, AND PLEASE EDIT THESE BOOKS🙄🤦🏽‍♀️

Not happening

No you did not let this woman kill Killo, Don, and Rick. Girrrrl you better be writing a sequel to this one and have these girls retaliate and revenge there men. They can definitely takeover the business. Dani knows what to do and Jessica has shown she can kill. Come on Ms. Tay De’Nay make it a spinoff or something. Pleaseee

Loved it

I wasn't expecting that ending at all. I feel it for Dani and Jessica. I had a feeling Terri was not going to let her husband and son's death go in vain even though they were both evil. Great Read.

For some reason I couldn't push myself to finish reading this book. I don't know if it was the grammatical errors or the wrong characters being mentioned at the wrong time. For those of you who pushed through congratulations, but I just couldn't do it.

Didn't hit the mark for me

Out of all seven books this was my least favorite. I felt it was filled with a lot of fluff that could and should have been left out, and maybe focus more on getting knocked up by a Houston king
