As a lifelong IBS sufferer, I was immediately interested in a cookbook adapted to my condition. The author explains what is low FODMAP diet, which conditions it helps with, how to adjust to it, and has a whole chapter of preparing ingredients like baking mixes, sauces and condiments to help with it.

Types of food that are not recommended: gluten grains (wheat, rye, barley), lactose dairy, legumes except canned / otherwise processed, onion & garlic, high-fructose fruits, vegetables like cauliflowers or cabbage.

What is used a lot here: potatoes, chia & quinoa, oats, rice, corn, peppers, spices like cumin, coriander and fenugreek, green onions and leek leaves, carrots, pumpkin, meat, avocado, tofu, cheese, fruits like bananas, citrus and berries, nuts.

There's a big variety of recipes across many categories, from snacks to main courses, side dishes and desserts, and everyone should find something for themselves.

The downside is there's only around 2 photos per chapter on average, instead of showcasing every dish. I guess that's because the book would be too long to present that many recipes photographed.

I liked how the author focused on which spices and vegetables can still be used for flavour, so you aren't sacrificing taste due to diet. There are also explanations for more exotic ingredients like asafetida and tempeh.

Thank you Netgalley and Adams Media for the ARC!

I was curious about the “The Everything Easy Low-FODMAP Diet Cookbook” because my partner has been advised to try a low-FODMAP approach and this turned out to be a great introduction! The opening chapter is especially helpful, with enough credible scientific and biological explanation to make the book feel evidence based and logical but not overwhelming. I really appreciate that the tone is practical rather than rigid or preachy; it feels like pragmatic guidance for real life, not a strict rulebook.

This the first book of the “Everything easy” series I have come across and I really like the way it is put together. The layout is clean and easy to read and the little coloured inserts with frequent questions, facts, alerts and essentials break up the pages in a way that actually adds clarity. The recipes are organised in a sensible, intuitive order and I am particularly pleased that there is a section for basic sauces and condiments, since those are often where problems lurk.
One of the most useful ideas for us has been the suggestion to use garlic- and onion infused oils. We love those flavours but they usually cause a lot of gut upset, so having a way to get some of the taste without the same fallout is a real win. Overall, this is an excellent primer for anyone starting a low-FODMAP trial and a book I would recommend to others in the same situation.

Thank you to Adams Media, NetGalley and Colleen Francioli for an advance reading copy of this book.

In recent years, I've discovered I have more food sensitivities than I had in previous years and it's become a bit of a issue when it comes to the foods I should or shouldn't eat. I'm so glad I found this book as it has helped guide and navigate me towards better food options and had a great deal of recipes to help me on my stomach recovery journey. I'm very thankful to have been able to check this book out!

I would like to thank the author, publisher and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read this ARC book in exchange for an honest review.

Netgalley ARC- This series is always good, and this one was no exception. Lots of great recipes that are well-written and use simple everyday ingredients. There aren't a lot of photographs but what is there is nicely done. The information on this particular diet, is intelligent and easily understandable. While I don't necessarily have any food sensitivities, these recipes make it easy for me to be able to cook for others who might. I would definitely be interested in reading other works by these authors.
