Quinn Meyer has taken a different path than the others in his family. Instead of the military...he went to school. Became a psychologist. And with all the people he helped...he feels as if he failed two important people. His father. And his wife.
Rachel Meyer decided it was time to go home. She'd left her husband and his family two years ago. Now, she needed their help. Meyers Security would be able to help her, if they would. And, she could hope that maybe Quinn would give her a second chance.
Another story that sucked me in from beginning to end. Well written stories that let me “see” my surroundings as I read. Feel what is going on around the characters. Wonderful characters and animals.

Great read.
There are many things I enjoy about your books. The characters are interesting with their other worldly abilities, the stong, yet vulnerable family ties. The love for horses and other animals and their abilities too. The danger the romance and the security of love and home.

This was a very touching book and I really enjoyed it. I was very impressed each of the people who was involved with the way they had with the animals and people.

I felt very unsatisfied & frustrated with the the mystery which ended about halfway through the book. No real answer as to why it happened & what was actually going on (what/who Rachel was scared of, why she had her memory erased, who she was afraid would recognize her, etc.). After that it centered around Rachel & Quinn's relationship. I had more unanswered questions by the end than answered including the horse Dweezle, Quinn & his father, Angie and probably a few others I can't think of right now. I don't think I will continue with this series.
I give the author credit for the book having been proofread. I didn't notice any errors like I find in a lot of ebooks that are self published.

A very good mystery involving the world of horse racing. Rachel had walked away from her husband and his family 2 years prior with the intention of protecting them. Now she is in a situation where his family and their security company are the only ones who can help her. Rachel has been plagued with hearing voices and she doesn't know where they are coming from, but something bad happens after she hears them. Will her husband Quinn be able to help her and can she heal the hurt she caused by leaving him 2 years before. A very well written book with a wonderful rescue story surrounding it. The author creates interesting characters that make you want to read more about them. This is a stand alone story.
