Five ingredient French onion soup? Coffee cake?? Thai peanut chicken??? There are a lot of recipes in this book that sound exactly like the kind of food I enjoy, and really easy to make. There aren't pictures for every recipe, but the ingredients speak for themselves.
I like the author's writing style, it's breezy and fun. There are plenty of recipes to try and in my experience (I've owned all of her books) the recipes do work. I also like that she admits it when she uses a recipe she found on somebody's website, her honesty is refreshing.
This book is a great resource if you like to use your slow cooker. The recipes are easy to follow and generally very family friendly. The meat chapters were highlights for me.
There’s no nutritional information and not enough pictures. But otherwise, this is an almost perfect weeknight cookbook.
For my Mom, Picky Peggy, who would really benefit from trying some of these simple recipes in the slow cooker I bought for her--a few of which I've copied to share with her. But she probably won't make a thing. <3
As a gluten intolerant person that doesn’t enjoy cooking this is a wonderful cookbook. The recipes are easy to throw together with items I always have on hand and the dishes are so yummy my teenage son loves them too. Highly recommended for anyone that wants easy, delicious food from a crockpot.
I haven't tried anything yet, but there were so many different things that sounded good and easy, that I probably will have to buy the book. If everything works as good as it sounds, I might never need to use my oven again.
Delicious recipes! Our Christmas dinner came from this book--a Mexican quinoa and bean dish that everyone raved about and cooked while we were at work!
As you can probably tell I was bored at work (the library) and so I grabbed a bunch of cookbooks to look through, cuz why not, and now I have a huge grocery list and a ton of new recipes to try.
Checked this one out of the library, made a few recipes and have ordered the cookbook for my husband and I to use. The recipes are tasty and not complex. I have never given Jack a cookbook, but he enjoys being in the kitchen…my thought is encourage him to create a few meals. All look delicious!
All recipes are gluten-free. O'Dea is the gal who blogged using the crockpot 365 days and has written a few cookbooks. This cookbook is filled with simplified versions of her favorite recipes.
One of the things I enjoy most about cookbooks is seeing photos of the completed recipes. This book fails miserably in that arena. However, readers will find a wide range of recipes from punch to dessert. that are relatively easy to put together.
as a person just starting out with a slow cooker, it's simple and easy to follow. These are recipes that you can add to, try new things and always remember slow cookers taste better the next day. #favoriterecipe the broccoli & cheese quiche! (on a bed of day old rice!)
