I finally looked directly at Ken. I noticed how handsome he was. He looked to be Italian, with his dark hair, olive skin and brooding eyes. He was about 6’3”, with broad shoulders and an athletic build. His shapely lips were spread into a warm smile. As handsome and manly as he was, his dimpled cheeks made him boyishly cute. I had never been approached by a white man before. And judging from what appeared before me, I didn’t mind it one bit. But I was confused as to why he would be interested in me after all that I’d just told him.

Great start to the short series!

I recommend this book, however I think it could have been condensed to one. Lisa had it all, loving parents, rich upbringing and a loving relationship with her boyfriend... Or so she thought. Sometimes us ladies make poor decisions when it comes to men, and Lisa was no exception to the rule. The cheating boyfriend, turned husband was only there for a free ride from the beginning. When Lisa's parents loss their company and fortune, the no good husband took off. The one night Lisa decides to be adventurous, she ends up sleeping with a guy that runs the company that she has an up coming interview with. You have to check out the next book to see what happens.

Too short

Although the story of a woman born with a silver spoon, her work ethic was strong. I liked that she put her family first and foremost. Unfortunately we can all make mistakes with that first love. Good story but too short. Just as it was getting interesting again it was over.

Honestly not a fan of serials, I prefer to have the full story at the time I begin to read. This 1st part of the series is a pretty good start and I do want to know what happens next but at the same time the way it ended is also okay for those who only want to read about a "one-night stand." Lisa is intelligent & career driven but a sucker for her high school sweetheart, smh. She celebrates her divorce by going out with her girl friend, meets Ken & is in one-night stand heaven, temporarily of course..lol This is THE END for me though because the price of the next 2 serials is too much for me :)

Ooooooook, so where it cut off just really hurt me badly. While I liked the story and premise I'm debating on weather to continue due to the fact this could have just been one book for a set price and not broken down in these rushed nibblets.
