Do not simply read this book. Rather, see yourself beside a twilight campfire. The coals are low and the moon is high. You are conversing with an old wildland firefighter about his experiences. Let him guide you deep into his world, far deeper than news bytes and documentaries. Pass the hours as you experience the dedication, the motivation, the understanding, the sacrifice, the gratification he has known and loved. And enjoy. Few get to go there.
This book does a good job of tell the story of Wild land Firefighters. Though he is a private contractor who can tell he was a Good One that got the job done. Thank you for writing this book.
