I just hate when mcs keep pushing fmcs away because apparently 'she deserves better than someone who kill people for a living". This is what happened in this book. Almost 80% of it is Damian pushing Selena away after so many attempts on her part.
She chased him so hard. Try so many ways and yet he refused right until the end when he almost died he decided oh he should've told her he love her. Uhh no thanks too late.
Nothing in this book makes it worth my time. Selena honestly is disappointing. Lack of character, no back bones, none of those quality in a good fmc. Same goes to Damian. No idea what she sees in him other than someone who's protecting her. lol. NEXT!

Sienna has found herself in a peculiar situation, one where she is trafficked from the club she works at, shoved in a room with strange men, and forced to perform on camera with them. But just as things look bleak, in comes bratva enforcer Damien Kutnezsov who saves her from a terrible fate. But when he proposes marriage in exchange for protection, little does he know the rollercoaster of emotions he’s about to go through as he comes to terms with his new family and how to keep them safe.
I didn’t realize when starting that this is actually linked to Twisted Fate which was released a few weeks ago (Konstantin and Valentina’s story) so I do recommend reading that first to avoid spoilers. However you can absolutely read Lethal Devotion as a standalone.
Sienna was a mama bear with a backbone and drive. But the contrast between her innocence and determination to win Damien over was CHEF’S KISS. I loved how dynamic she was, not just a damsel in distress or a quivering little deer, no sir, she was put here to survive and THRIVE…and seduce her husband along the way.
Damien was a MAAAAAAN, hands down! A tattooed, selfless, bratva enforcer with a heart of gold? Sign me up! I really loved how he comes to terms with his feelings for Sienna and found a family in her and Adam. And the way he just couldn’t control himself around Sienna, um, can I just turn the cooling up? Cause things got HOT with these two and the chemistry was undeniable.

I really loved this book and will be going back to get more of the story through Kon and Val’s book. Honestly, M James really hit it out of the park with this one and gave us a hot couple, a beautiful family, and a happy ending to remember.

Oh wow so good! Just brilliant! I loved the relationship between Damien and Sienna. Kept me guessing till the very end.
This was about Sienna a stripper who is forced to marry Mafia Enforcer Damien to keep her under his protection.
I loved the layers of story and behind the scenes of the Mafia world. Damien was this fierce, brutal man who was a protector down to his bones but didn't think he was good enough. But Sienna showed him what she saw in him and what she really was like.
That connection was very much on off, with him constantly pushing her away. They had the chemistry but the journey was more than emotional. Both needed to delve deep to work out what they want.
So amazing, the depth to the characters and especially with the addition of Adam, Valentina and Konstantine it really opened the story up.
Loaded with danger, drama, and suspense matched with the beautiful romance and lots of steam. It's a story I can get behind. So well done a real treat to dive into. Highly recommended!!

When Damian saved Sienna from a deadly situation he didn’t expect anything in return but, as he spends more time with her he becomes obsessed. He can’t stop thinking about her. This may be a slow burn but, the fire is smoking hot! I was pulled into this gripping romance right away and couldn’t stop reading. It’s beautifully written, entertaining and gripping. It’s a fantastic must read page turner.

But he will protect what is his. This story will keep you locked in. M James never disappoints. You will love this story as much as I did.
