On Christmas Eve, Clara's godfather gives her a present that she stays up until midnight to open, discovering a nutcracker which turns into a prince and herself in need of his protection.
She joined Usborne Publishing almost straight out of university and has been writing books for them pretty much ever since. She has written about everything from dinosaurs to the Queen to Fairy Ponies and tiny monsters, small enough to fit in your pocket. She is also a mum of two boys and works from home, where she spends most of her time talking to the dog and trying not to eat too much cheese.
It wasn't like the other nutcracker story but it was good and I have read it many times. It has an ice queen and a candy person a nutcracker and a little girl.
We're so proud of you for reading The Nutcracker by Emma Helbrough. the moral of this story is that courage and kind-heartedness can take you to incredible adventure And this lesson can be practiced by you wherever and when ever you act with courage and kindness in your day-to-day life, believing like always that the dream is slowly magic. Love, Mom and Dad
A magical retelling of the timeless classic. It was wondrous and entertaining but more like a story to tell to children at bedtime which guarantee sweet dreams. If you want an adventure read this is not what you are looking for. It is basic reading so pretty much any age can understand it and learn to read it. The illustrations are colourful and eyecatchingly exquisite. Definitely enchanting. It even comes with a CD that you can just whack in if you don't want to read it yourself or if you have no one to read it for you. Most I think would opt to reading it themselves. A tale for all ages.
