This was quite unique compared to most transmigration stories I've read before, this was more realistic with a strong female lead who stuck to her plan of going back to her original body and world. Overall, it's a 4 star read. Highly recommend!

Sort of an abrupt ending.

There's tons of questions here:
1) How much time passed in the real world?
2) What life did Anakhin find himself in? Assuming he took over someone else's life.
3) How did Anakhin end up finding the FMC again? They don't look the same and he doesn't have any special powers.
4) Helena seems to have goals as the empress, but I don't know what they are.

The remaining men from the novel are also really strange. Their turn towards obsessing over Eris made no sense. There was also not a ton on the prince's reaction to finding out his resurrection plan failed. I'm not sure if these questions were answered in the novel or not.

Anyway, overall, this was an enjoyable manhwa. I wish the other characters had been developed more. I didn't feel like they had real hopes or dreams of their own and I think maybe the few throwaway lines at that being due to them being storybook characters might've been intended to cover for that. As it stands, it felt like the FMC was the only really developed character and that made it a bit less interesting to me overall. However, I enjoyed her story with Anakhin and I enjoyed seeing it play out in a reasonable amount of chapters.

Ahh, it's over. I did like that Final was marked on the cover. The guys finally get what's coming to them in a perfect tailored revenge for each. Couldn't stand them to the end, especially with their last minute revival plan. Anakhin really gave Star Wars vibes with that fire scene. HEA for the ones that mattered.

This transmigrator adventure takes different tact than many in the genre. Our protagonist wants to return to her original world. She hopes that dying will allow this but must fight against the world forcing the plot along. While the constant suicide attempts and emotions could be triggering, the emotional moments regarding wanting to go home, feelings of unreality, unjust suffering, preferential treatment, and loneliness are relatable and land well in context. Witches, dragons, revenge, wishes, and compassion become the keys she needs to complete her mission and the key features of the plot. It also takes a pragmatic look at the typical otome relationships and exposes the toxic levels of control, violence, possession, and ego involved. It doesn’t gloss over the darker elements Most of the characters have layers or at least complicated motivations. The villains are evil and readers are happy when they finally get what is coming to them. The art style is the typical pretty shoujo where there are detailed costumes (European ball gowns, hunting attire, day dresses) and multiple settings (estates, park strolls, night markets), but the faces don’t tend to emote very much. The colors are a bit muted and there are less overlays of flowers than usual. While the individual elements are rather generic or formulaic I appreciate the mix and unusual tone. (3.5 stars)

A lady lands inside the villainess of a novel she skimmed. The new Eris Miserian tries to escape her fate through death, consulting with Witch Medea, and consulting this realm’s holy faction through High Priest Hubris. Yet she is unable to break off her engagement with Crown Prince Alecto who humiliates the Marquis’s daughter by parading his commoner love Helena about high society. Causality forces the planned narrative forward, but our transmigrator is able to make small changes like claiming a knight at this years appointment ceremony and telling her alleged childhood friends just how terrible their behaviors are. Alecto, Hubris, and even the Dragon Slayer Jason Kazaar become obsessed with the changes in Eris but she continues to push the characters into despair and find a path home.

5/5 stars. Someone once said…

“I got lost hiking up a mountain, and I saw a shepherd. I asked him "How far up are we?" and he answered "Kill the Villainess" That's how I realised, I already knew the answer. We were at the peak”

And I agree. I haven’t read a book that is a perfectly tragic revenge story. It shows so well how revenge begets revenge and all is left is the tragic end to its beginning.

To Anakin and Eris, a toast to your happily never ending.

I actually sobbing rn. This is my absolute favorite series of all time and every single moment of it is etched deeply into my soul. I’m going to be rereading this for eternity. I can’t gush about it enough. It is so rare sometimes to find a soul series that feels particularly made for you and for me, this is it.

Finished this using the webcomic. So glad our fmc stuck to her decision to return to her original life.
The three other men trying to ruin her plan and showing obsession to her was not my favorite.

I went into this to get emotionally wrecked but the men just infuriated me. They’re so fucking delusional!! I couldn’t even shed one tear.
All I could do was gasp and scoff. Might have screamed one or twice.

Even so, I enjoyed this lil read and I’m glad she got a happy ending.

And the conclusion.

It nicely rounds out the tale as told thus far, and Eris keeps her plan going. A few characters act with unusually strong motives -- and a few threads don't get tied off, but most do, partly because there are several epilogues to cover the other character.

The ending of the tale itself is beautiful.
