Robert J. Crane was born and raised on Florida's Space Coast before moving to the upper midwest in search of cooler climates and more palatable beer. He graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in English Creative Writing. He worked for a year as a substitute teacher and worked in the financial services field for seven years while writing in his spare time.
This one had me riveted! The final books in Sienna's saga are going to be amazing. This one starts... not slowly, but maybe kinda tame for Sienna. The investigation begins and we know Robert is going to throw something in there to blow the story up, and he does... but THEN!!! Olivia, Scott, and Sienna (of course) have stories that are all intriguing, with Alannah making me laugh, as usual, when she darts in. But it's the final chapters that really blew me away. Even when I *had to* set the story down, it was running through my head, I just needed to know what was being set up, then where it was going, and, finally, how it was going to be resolved. I cannot wait for the next book but I'm not ready for a final ending! I know what Sienna is thinking, and I really want her to be wrong!
Like all the other books in the Girl in the Box series, this one is a hit. Kick ass metahumans making their way through life one concert at a time until trouble happens to literally fall in their laps. This one has Scott, Olivia and of course Sienna fighting their battles. However, they aren't working together. Each of them have their own battles they must overcomes. I personally like it when the whole team is working together on things, but this foreshadows things to come. I know the ending is near in the series and it's bittersweet for me, but am looking forward to the stories and the ending that Crane can come up with.
The series have been good and I have read every book, however; the constant crisis of conscience and running from the law is getting old. How can Sienna keep falling for the same traps book after book. The books lacks her actually growing mentally along with the power accumulated. Various books have her slightly developed and showing strategic insights and then in the next book she carelessly crashes into everything. I bet in a couple of books she will cycle through depression and drinking again. Where is the growth, I will look for it in book 62.
Another great read. A bit annoying at times, as we follow the lives of three people. One gets a great end, but the others, back into hiding, ready for the war coming. Meta "gods" versus humans. If you’re looking at this review and haven't started at the beginning, you have a lot of catching up to do, and you will need a lot of spare time as you get drawn in.
Worthless chapters of Scott and Olivia l love sienna only the others are useless and not worth my
Time I actually skipped every chapter tablet Scott and Olivia. I will read the next book if useless chapters are added I will stop reading the Siena books.
Such a great way to carry three themes through. Held my breath with each twist and couldn’t wait to read the next page! Just when I thought I knew the story line, bam, it was different! I’ve read all 61 books so far, hope there are 61 more!
