Arya was the kind of girl the world overlooked, quiet, unassuming, a shadow in the corners of crowded rooms. But everything changes the night she hears a haunting melody no one else can hear, echoing with stars and stitched together by dreams. It calls to something buried deep within her...something waiting to awaken. Alexios was never meant to linger. A warrior forged in the chaos of the Shadows’ fall, he now drifts across the realm in search of purpose. But no matter how far he travels, a single thread tugs at him, an echo of something unfinished, or someone he's tried to forget. Someone like Arya. When a strange new reality begins to unravel around them, blurring the line between the waking world and the dreamscape, Arya and Alexios are drawn together by forces neither of them fully understand. To survive, they must uncover the truth behind the song, confront the ghosts of their pasts, and decide whether the world they’re falling into is a dream worth living…or a nightmare they must escape. The Song of Stars and Dreams is a heart-twisting romantic fantasy about finding light in the darkness, the power of unseen things, and the courage it takes to believe in the impossible.
I love this story. The characters have a story of not only friendship, but family, and love that binds them. Their fates are all intertwined in a tale that is intricately woven in fantasy and romance. This is book two of the series so you have to read The Daughter of shadows and Ivory first in order to understand this one! If you are looking for spice, this is not it, but that in no way ruins the story. I would say it makes it better.
