Este es un GRAN LIBRO… WOW

So few people live and maintain friendships in the way that Fr. Hinnebusch describes. They don't strive for them, and in the modern age, they're not thought possible. We're losing so much as a result. He describes convincingly how without these fostered friendships with the faithful, we can never strive to be who God made us to be, and we can't know Him as fully as we ought. It's an entirely different way of seeing other people and relating to them.

Lovely to read this again after reading it during SY on Fr. Brady’s recommendation. Definitely a top 5 spiritual classic (for me personally) that I could read over and over again.

“But just as Joseph, even while he decreased, received Mary again from God, to be loved tenderly and cherished as his wife, so too the celibate is given many persons to love, and carries on a mission of universal love, mediating God’s own love.”
