Dear Reader,
I've been looking forward to writing this book since the Carmichael family stormed into my life. I knew Banks was going to be special—a blend of fun, funny, swoony (and a bit of a headache! Ha!).
I wasn't wrong.
This story made me smile and laugh; writing it was a complete joy.
I hope it reads the same way to you.
Sometimes, you just need something light—a story to give you hope and remind you of love and family. This what this story is for me and I hope it is for you, too.
I can't wait for you to read it.
With love,
Adriana

Flaunt was playful and fun and everything I thought a book about Banks Carmichael would be. I enjoyed listening to it and by the end I was completely sold on a Banks/Sara relationship, it just took me a while to get there and feel their connection. Overall I enjoy this series so much, especially the family dynamic.

Where the hell can I find some Carmichael brother to call mine?

Banks is everything that I expected him to be and he just consolidated himself as my favorite Carmichael (I don't really know if Foxx will be able to steal his place, but I'm here to see him try 😏)

Banks and Sara are perfect for each other, cause he's the most caring, protective, loyal and unexpected of them all, and she's a loner that don't even know how to receive that kind of love and care. I felt her pain and her need for that family love, and to see their story evolve so easily and with lots of laughs and dirty jokes, and all of Banks shenanigans with his brothers and the way that she just embraced him... it was perfect!

I'm sad that this series is coming to an end, cause I'll miss this family like crazy!
I'm also here to discover all Foxx's secrets and also who's sending the animal's texts 😂.

The narration was chef's kiss!

Banksy Banksy Banksy. Who knew the very boyish prankster could also be a protective, swoony grown-up man all rolled into one? His brothers' perception of him thus far in the series had influenced my feelings about him more than I realized compared to AL's previous family series. The most mischievous, funny brother in a family series is often my favorite from the get-go. I went more back & forth with Banks because, through his brothers' eyes, he always teetering between being a cheeky, creative prankster & an obnoxious, nosy younger brother, with no respect for boundaries. So tbh I wasn’t sure if there was enough maturity in him to be a viable romantic hero. Mind you, he was still very much a handful, in a good way —usually 😂—, but now having his POV, I don’t think his brothers get him — at least not entirely —. AL fleshed his character out very nicely to reveal he’s actually quite sweet, caring, & devoted to those who matter to him. He just tends to have a funny/strange way of showing it 😉 😂.

This particular AL family series has been kind of a strange one for me. Because while I liked book one pretty well & I’ve enjoyed all the brothers shenanigans throughout the series, but I hadn’t had a favorite Carmichael brother until now. It’s never taken me this long with AL’s previous family series to find one at least I gravitate more towards(I mean I found three in AL’s Masons series alone!), but Banksy now unquestionably put himself in the top spot for me with Flaunt 😍.

Another reason I’ve felt the Carmichaels series has been a little off at times is because there’s a variation of one trope that’s been used as a catalyst repeatedly in the whole series. Fake Relationships — dating, fiancé, husband, ex-husband. I’m all for a good fake relationship trope. Just not loving the idea of four times in row in one series is all. Although I’m glad to say it worked the best here in Flaunt, despite being a tired of it after the first three installments of the Carmichaels.

I wasn’t sure about Sara(h) initially. She seems reckless & a little overly brash sometimes as Ashley’s bff in Fling & for a little bit at the start of this. Soon her & Banks’ bickering became pretty entertaining as they kept getting further under the other’s skin. I liked that as their dynamics began changing she saw him. She saw the pieces most others miss or what some just can’t see at all, as well as the Banks everyone knows, loves & at times annoyed by 🤪. I was glad she also had the sense of humor mesh with his & to laugh with him, & not make him feel like his lighthearted mischievous side was something grow out of or he should be more serious all the time. As her backstory & what she went through unfolded, I found Sara much easier to connect with than the previous two heroines. There was some angst from that towards the end, but it was good. It was closer to low than medium, so it didn’t overpower the feel good vibe.

Next up is the enigmatic oldest Carmichael brother, Foxx (yes, two X’s. It keeps making me think his secret job is as a porn star…like idk…Ocean’s 11 Inches, starring FoXX. 🤦🏻‍♀️ ). Other than he’s suddenly losing keys left & right, I seriously have no clue what to expect or what his personality is even like. The one thing I do suspect his heroine might be Becca, Ashley & Sara’s friend. How or why they would meet & get together, no idea. Like not ONE clue 🔍. It just seems like she’s stayed around for a reason.

A fun and playful frenemies-to-lovers romance with low drama, no angst, an irresistible hero, and a gorgeous romance. I loved this one!

I picked this book up not realising it was part of a series. It’s actually book four of the Carmichael Family series, and though you can read it as a standalone, be aware that there are three Carmichael brothers before Banks who have had their stories told, and all of the characters are closely intertwined. I wish I’d read the series in order because I love the build-up of characters and dynamics that you get with interconnected standalones, but you can read this one on its own.

Banks is the youngest of the Carmichael boys. He is the prankster who is always taunting and teasing his brothers, pulling epic pranks and always joking around. And, like his brothers, he’s also fiercely loyal to his family and has a huge heart. Sara is the best friend of Ashley (the new wife of Banks’ brother, Maddox). She’s run into some trouble and is temporarily staying with Maddox and Ashley, but not wanting to intrude on the newlyweds longer than necessary, she ends up moving in with Banks while she waits for her rental to be ready. Banks is initially very reluctant to get a new roommate – especially one who drives him as nuts as Sara does, but it doesn’t take long before for two frenemies actually find themselves getting along, and more than that, feeing an attraction. It’s nothing either of them expected, but while Sara is all too keen to explore their mad lust for each other, she doesn’t want a relationship and is only interested in a hook up. Banks knows that will never be enough for him, so he keeps his distance, but hopes for more.

“I’m not going to apologize for wanting you when this is over,” I say.
“You don’t know you’ll still want me.”
“Oh, baby. I do.”

It’s a fun dynamic between Banks and Sara. They tease and flirt, and as their attraction deepens, so do their feelings for each other. They hover on the edge of will they/won’t they, and the build up is so good. They joke and laugh together, and Sara’s snarky sarcasm is a great match for Banks’ honesty and joyful open-heartedness, which proves to be absolutely irresistible.

“What if one of us falls for the other?” I ask. “Then what?”
I stand before her, ready to peel her out of that dress. Somehow, I find a shred of self-restraint and hold on to it for dear life.
She smirks. “I’m not going to fall for you Banks.”
I smile back at her. “I was talking about me.”

Oh Banks… *dreamy sigh*… He absolutely makes this book. He is so much fun, and his sweet side absolutely stole my heart. He’s smart and confident, open and unapologetic about who he is and what he wants, he doesn’t play games, and he’s just a genuinely good guy. It doesn’t hurt that he’s also hot as all hell, and the sexy time is sizzling! He is voiced by the narrating perfection that is Jacob Morgan, who brings just the right amount of sweetness, sexiness, hilariously juvenile playfulness and SO much heart, and watching him fall in love for the first time is an absolute delight.

The touch of drama comes for Sara, who hasn’t had an easy life and who has issues she needs to deal with. But being surrounded by Banks and his large, loving and in-your-face family proves to be exactly what she needs. She grows a lot in this story, with Banks beside her, holding her hand every step of the way as they fall and fall hard.

“I don’t want this to be it between us. I want this to be a part of it.”

I loved this book, I loved these characters, and I loved the wonderfully fun and chemistry-filled romance. I’m going back to the beginning to read the series in full, and I cannot wait to explore more of this family.

4 stars!

The audiobook is narrated by Jacob Morgan and Mackenzie Cartwright, and it’s a great one to listen to!

This is a great low angst, feel good romance!

Full disclosure- I was not the biggest fan of Banks before this book. To be honest I found him quite annoying in some of his brothers’ books, though he did have some redeeming moments. Well, he fully redeems himself here!
He’s a silly, goofy prankster who comes across as needy at times but actually just adores his family and would do anything for them.
We saw a much more mature, protective and swoony side to him in this book, and he fell so hard for Sara.

Sara is best friends with one of Banks’s sister in laws and they start off as fremenies really, sort of disliking each other but there’s always an undercurrent of joking and teasing. Sara has had a rough life and doesn’t feel deserving of long term commitment and love, so it’s up to Banks to show her how to be loved, and he steps right up to the plate!

Great appearances from the rest of the lovely Carmichael family too!

Thank you to Adriana for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I do not know how Ms. Locke keeps doing it, but each entry of this series gets better and better...and each entry has been a winner on their own.

Readers, I know, have fallen hard for Banks...
he has stolen every moment he has been involved with the past stories. This is his story and oh, it is perfect. We also have a woman who is the perfect match for him. Both are strong and hold their own.

Plus we get all of the Carmichael Family. Perfection.

Flaunt by Adriana Locke is a delightful romance that will captivate any reader. The story revolves around Banks and Sara, two dynamic characters who find themselves thrown together in unexpected circumstances. Banks is a caring and kind-hearted man, always ready to lend a helping hand. Sara, on the other hand, is feisty and determined, facing challenges both in her love life and career. When fate brings them closer, Sara needs a fake fiancé, and Banks steps up to the plate. The banter and sizzle between them are electrifying, and it's heartwarming to see Banks prove everyone wrong by showing Sara that she is not hard to love.
Adriana Locke's writing is both hot and hilarious, keeping readers engaged from start to finish. This audiobook is a must-listen for romance enthusiasts who enjoy stories featuring close-proximity and small-town heroes. With its engaging plot and well-developed characters, Flaunt is a highly recommended listen.
The narrators were great and made me love these characters even more while listening.

I'd been waiting to read Banks Carmichael's book ever since I first read about him in Ashley and Maddox's book, Fling. And I'm happy to say that it didn't disappoint. Banks was everything and I absolutely loved how far gone he was for Sara right since day one - even when they both didn't realise it. As for Sara...let's just say that the last few chapters regarding her past and childhood really resonated with me and I connected with her character deeply. I adored both of them and enjoyed every single second of reading their story! I'm so excited to read the next (and probably last?) book in this series🥰🧡

I listened to the book before this one (Fluke) about Jess Carmichael and Pippa. Banks Carmichael was so much fun in that book that I knew I couldn’t wait to read his story.

And he did not disappoint.

Banks and Sara aren’t friends. In fact, he tries to do anything to avoid her. But, after a hilarious bathroom incident to finding out that she is temporarily staying with his brother and his wife, they end up being in each others orbit a lot more. This leads to them realizing that they like each other more than they thought!

I listened to this book. It’s narrated by Mackenzie Cartwright and Jacob Morgan. Mackenzie as Sara brought out her sass, but also her vulnerability. Jacob was pure magic as Banks. He was just amazing in his delivery as fun-loving Banks.

I really enjoyed this book and audio. I binged it in one day. It is so entertaining, funny, but also full of heart.

Thank you to Valentine PR for an audio copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Ohhhh Banks! I was excited to get this brother's story! Banks is most definitely misunderstood. Sure, he has a good time, seems to be carefree, but he loves just as hard as he plays. Previously, he had attached himself to his brothers but he's just a big cinnamon roll. He wants to love and be loved. They say opposites attract, and Sara was not on Banks' radar. But Sara and Banks also didn't get along. Or did they ... I loved the interactions between them and how the relationship shifted. Banks was there for her when she needed someone and not because he was forced into anything. I couldn't put this book down and I can't recommend it enough! I found myself laughing out loud at the antics of the Carmichael siblings and adored the love they had for each other. This book had me lost in the feels and I didn't want to walk away from these characters!

I enjoyed this story a lot, I like the family dynamics, the brother and the parents, and seeing the other members of the family.

Sara and Banks start out as enemies and then realize there is a lot more between them, but it starts as an attraction that is brought on by close quarters. There are some things they need to work through to really be together, and that was interesting to watch.

The issue I had with this one is that I never really felt like Banks was a full adult. He had moments where he was, but it was hard to see him as anything other than the prank playing brother, the goofy one. And, it was hard to really see him as the romantic lead and not the goofy character.

I enjoyed and recommend this title.

**Audio Review **
Oh my, Banksy! Flaunt by Adriana Locke was a laugh-out-loud and heartfelt fake fiance small-town romance with low angst and had me grinning from start to finish. Banks Carmichael was worth the wait because he was so amazingly swoony in every way! Sara and Banks' journey from fake to forever was pure joy, and I loved every bit of it!

Mackenzie Cartwright and Jacob Morgan narrate this audiobook, and these two were cast perfectly for Sara and Banks. Mackenzie was spot-on portraying Sara’s snark and sass. However, Sara also has a more vulnerable side that Mackenzie delivers flawlessly making you want all the best things in life. Jacob embodied Banks in every way possible. He captured Banks’ wit, charm, humor, and devotion to Sara and his family brilliantly in an impeccable performance that made me laugh and swoon at the same time. Plus, the love/ hate chemistry between these two was super HOT.

Overall, I LOVED this book. If you are a fan of a fake fiance romance with a hot hilarious hero, a feisty bold heroine, small town, vibrator gate, Kismet Beach, pizza night, a chicken daddy, infamous brother shenanigans, family foot races, charity galas, petty exes, close proximity, slow burn steamy times, finding your self-worth, and a HEA that will flaunt with your heart in the best ways then you will love Banks and Sara’s romance! I always look forward to more from Adriana Locke.

I felt like I read a different book than what the synopsis was advertising…

To start, Sara and Banks were never really “enemies”. Banks disliked her for some reason that is unknown and she had a crush on him. Their feelings towards each other very quickly changed and it lacked the tension that I expected.

Secondly, the whole fake fiancé thing was like one chapter that was more than half way through the book. It didn’t really feel like it should’ve been the focal point of what was advertised seeing as this really wasn’t what the book was about.

Third, Sara and Banks’ relationship lacked depth and realness. I didn’t really like them together as much as I was hoping I would. Banks also bothered me because he was just SO IMMATURE. Like why are you incapable of getting your own groceries, doing your laundry and cleaning your house!! I don’t know how Sara handled it, because I know I could not.

Finally, I really did not enjoy the pacing, it just felt like it dragged so much, especially after the halfway mark.

I was really expecting something different than I got with this book and I unfortunately came in with really high hopes and expect that were not met. I think maybe this book just wasn’t for me.

The FMC needing a fake fiancé to get back at an ex-fling/ex-boss who said she wasn’t wife material? And the MMC being her frenemy and also her best friend’s brother-in-law? Obviously this went to the top of my TBR pile.

I really loved the main characters in this book. Banks is a golden retriever type - he plays pranks on his family but doesn’t play games with love, and he has a huge heart. Sara is a bit of a smartass but her big personality hides the fear that she’s not deserving of love. They were so well matched, had excellent chemistry, and there was an ease and sweetness to the way their relationship developed.

Banks’ family feature heavily in the story - sometimes having so many side characters to keep track of can annoy me, but it really worked in this book because of important family is to Banks and the found family vibe is also integral to Sara’s character arc.

Really enjoyed this. Might even give Fluke (which I dnf’d recently) another go!

There’s not one of Adriana Locke’s character series that hasn’t sucked me in, and so far the Carmichael Family series is no different.

📔 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼: Flaunt, book four of the Carmichael Family series by Adriana Locke.

📚𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲: Frienemies-to-lovers, found family, golden retriever MMC

📖 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗼𝗽𝘀𝗶𝘀: Banks is chaotic, enigmatic and completely over the top. More than anything, he loves his family - and as they continue to pair up, he’s seeing those connections slip away. When he meets Sara, his instinct is to hate her. She’s headstrong and likes order and isn’t afraid to challenge him. But that only lasts days as they continue to get closer, and his resolve bends.

🌟 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄: I just love this little family and their dynamics. And Banks is one of my favorite types of male main characters - the golden retriever. The guy who falls hard and fast, whose only goal is to be the man his woman needs him to be. He’s funny, and so so damn loveable.

And when it comes to one of my favorite characters in the series settling down, he needed his perfect match. And Adriana Locke wrote Sara so well.

Beyond that, you get solid spice and this awesome found family. I highly recommend the whole series, but Flaunt has been my favorite book so far.

I massively thank Addy that the Carmichael brothers are backkk! Moss, Maddox, Jess, Foxx and the youngest brother Banks. The notorious prankster, the brother with youngest child syndrome, the one who hates to be alone. He has been a top favorite side character of mine and I’m soo happy to have finally read his book via audio!

The audio is absolutely amazing, I can’t imagine anyone else bringing Banks Carmichael to life than Jacob Morgan. He matched his character perfectly, and made me laugh nearly every single page. This was my first time listening to Mackenzie Cartwright narrating and I LOVED her as Sara. The story of Sara and Banks is so much fun, I cackled constantly and swooned endlessly. The low angst was appreciated, Banks and his charming personality and family oriented ways really won Sara over. He made her feel loved, appreciated, and valued. I’d rate this book 100 stars if I could. So I’ll settle for 5 stars.

I can’t wait for Foxx’s book!

4.5🌟s! I’ve been anticipating Banks’s story throughout the whole Carmichael Family series!! Banks is the prankster of the family and his imagination holds no bounds. We knew it was going to take a special lady to be worthy of his giving heart. He is totally a cinnamon role hero.

To say that Sara is going through a rough patch is a huge understatement. Her life has sort of imploded and to everyone’s surprise, even his own, it’s Banks to the rescue. I struggled a little with their initial chemistry, but I found that Sara really opens up that part of Banks that needs to be needed and they become friends and then more. And lets just say that more with Banks, is MORE! Banksy definitely brings the spice.

I love how Banks also showed Sara how she deserved to be treated, whether it was family or ex-boyfriends, he didn’t let anyone disrespect her.

Wonderful romcom and I am dying to read Foxx’s book Flame. He is the most mysterious Carmichael brother and I’m hoping we get to find out who is sending the crazy text messages to the brothers. My guess… the mom!

Banksy, you beautiful, beautiful man. You were so unexpected in the best possible way. This is book four in the Carmichaels series, and you've gotten to know the goofy and needy guy...but he is so much. He is caring, thoughtful, generous, handsome and so much more.

You were briefly introduced to Sara in Fling since she is Ashley's bestie...but I would have never imagined her and Banks acting on their explosive chemistry.

Banks is the ultimate cinnamon roll, he falls first and had the self restraint to walk away when he didn't think Sara was ready for their relationship to go to the next level.

Adriana did such a beautiful job of showing Sara's journey of self discovery and self love...and thank goodness Banks was there every step of the way to help her.

Sara’ya başta bir gıcık oldum, çok sığ düşünceli bir tip gibi geldi yaşantısı ve kafa yapısıyla. Arkadaşlarıyla olan dialoglarıyla..

Spoilers ❗️

This was a quick, easy and fun read but was lacking some things for 5 stars.
So the fmc Sara got fired from her job after sleeping with her boss. She also lost her apartment and now she has nowhere to go. So she goes to her bffs and her husband’s place where she sees his brother the mmc Banks. They already knew each other and this is where it gets confusing. They disliked one another and there was no real reason for it ig they were just fighting their attraction but it really made no sense. Also the fact they were so mean to the fmc and the bff couldn’t wait to get her out of her house. Like i get youre newlyweds and you want alone time but your best friend has no job, no money, and no place to stay? There were also a few inconsistencies and unanswered questions. But overall it was a fun time and I would recommend.

Safety: the fmc was a player which was so refreshing. She’s never been in a relationship and her last hookup was a few weeks before the book starts. There’s no real omd only her boss that shows up at the end of the book.
The mmc not a manwhore, said it’s been a few years since his last relationship, but then at some point said he occasionally has fun whatever that means🙄 but he said he is a relationship type so💁🏼‍♂️. No ow/owd , no exes showing up. He was absolutely a book boyfriend.
