I am a retired military wife and homeschool mom. I started writing about three years ago at my daughter's urging, but it took me until mid-2013 to get my nerve up and try to get published. It has been a whirlwind ride since then, but one that I don't plan to stop any time soon!

A great collections of short stories!
Santa Vamp by Alice Brown & Lady V this was the story of Garrett and Bree. Garrett is a vampire that has lived for hundreds of years. Disgusted in the way humans have lived he avoids them as much as he can. One night he goes out searching for dinner when he meets Bree. She will open his eyes and show him that not all humans are bad. Bree works several jobs just so she can be Santa for her friends and families around her. One particular night she is loading her car with her goodies when she meets Garrett. He shows her that there are some good men out there.
I loved this story and I would love to see this become a longer story.

The Love of Christmas by Samantha Potter. This is Alana and Hunters story. Alana is a vampire, but she wants to be human and experience there customs. While working she is asked to introduce the new employee and show him the ropes. What she wasn't expecting was the attraction she had for him. Hunter is also a vampire, and when he finally meets Alana he wants to make sure he never lets her go and that he is willing to support her needs for acting human.
Another great story! I love how different this is from anything I've read. I would love to read more about Alana and Hunter.

The Magical Highland Christmas by Rayne O'Gara. Sammie is a girl who likes to plan ahead, and when her Aunt tells her to back her bags she is going the Scottish Highlands she doesn't know what to do. Finally giving in she arrives to her destination. Only to discover that someone occupies the cabin that her aunt owns. Gavin is a shifter, a puma to be exact he likes living alone and is not looking to settle down yet. When Sammie shows up all of this changes. His cat wants her bad, but his problem is how does he tell her what he is without her running from him.
I loved this story and the struggle that both face because of the lust they have for one another.

Bearly Christmas by Lei Carol. This is Callie & Jayson's story. Callie has had a bad year. Her boyfriend left her for her best friend, she had lost both her jobs and now she is alone for Christmas. While at a bar she is accosted a drunken man. A scuffle went on and the next thing she knows she is in a strangers bed. Jayson is a bear shifter and he has been looking for his mate for a long time.
This was a great story. I loved the back and forth emotions Callie felt and I loved the suspense during the story.

Christmas Escape by Hazel Gower. Alissa moved away from her overbearing family and the one man she has always loved. While out to dinner with her co-workers she discovers that Dolton is head chef at the restaurant. She bolts to the bathroom to try to escape. Dolton is a shifter, while working he discovers that his mate is nearby. When he finds out who it is he is shocked. He never knew that his mate was the one that he always teased and let down when she was younger. Then jealousy hits him and he goes all caveman on her.
I would love to see this story extended. Both such interesting characters.

The Love of Christmas by Samantha Potter is a special story about Alana who dreamed of Christmas with all its possibilities and what can be. Reality proved to her that sometimes what you need and what you want go hand in hand in the form of the deliciousness Hunter who does what he can to give her happiness and making her realize that dreams do come true.

The Magical Highland Christmas by Rayne O'Gara is a story of Highland magic and the sneaky aunt who gives two people a Christmas miracle that they both never knew they needed. Gavin hides who he is until an expected guest in the form of Sammie proves to him that sharing your past is a stepping stone to the future.

Bearly Christmas by Lei Carol is a story of Callie a woman who has been hiding from betrayal and decides enough is enough. Jayson has been watching Callie from afar because she's his mate but he doesn't know how she will take it. Fortunately a series of mishaps leads her to being in his arms and realizing that Christmas is the season of miracles.

Christmas Escape by Hazel Gower is the story of Alissa who professed her love to Dolton when she was younger and he turned her down. Fast forward to years later and Dolton realizes that the one woman who he looked out for when she was younger and turned down is his mate who's now an adult with a mind of her own. It takes him proving to her that all he want for Christmas is her.

This anthology truly captures the essence of the holiday season with each story being beautifully told and focuses on the magic of Christmas season. These stories will give you hope; they will reach into your chest and pull at your heartstrings, leaving you hoping you receive your own dose of Christmas magic.

The first story is the only reason this book didn't get one star. The second story hurt to read. The author did not know the difference between "were" and "where" or "to" and "too". The next 3 were forgettable, but not horrible. The final story was a bit comical as the author confused the word "taunt" with "taut". Made me giggle.

If you have anything better to read and/or are annoyed by grammar and spelling mistakes, skip this book.

Five great stories. Each one of them is unique and different. Just wish they were a bit longer as I did not want them to end :-D
