A perfect fusion of art instruction and technique, plus bookbinding! If you've already mastered some basic tangle patterns, this is the next step towards becoming an artist. Homemade portfolio in hand, you'll be ready to draw where and whenever you like. I devoured this book in one sitting; I can't wait to start on the projects!
I purchased this book to get back into zentangles again. This book contains 6 chapters and each chapter you make a booklet for the exercises and lessons in each one. This book starts as basic and then adds many different aspects. A great activity book I am looking forward to creating the books and completing each lesson.
A great resource and activity for the artist within to some out and shine.
I liked some of the tangles included in this book, which was my primary reason for reading it, but I also liked the info on various ways to do tangles.
This book covers Tangles, but it also has some book making directions: Sketchfolio, Knotted Sketchbook, a hinged, Single-stich Coptic-Bound book and a guide to knots, pamphlet stich binding and Coptic Stitch. Another fun section - gum paper chains with beautiful paper - 1/4"x 3 1/2"
Okay, the directions seem to be a bit off (not sure they were vetted) but with persistence, you'll get through.
