When Evil Returns

by Dianne McCartney

When English professor Doctor Lilah James thinks someone is following her, she tries to ignore the sensation. After all, the odds are against a woman being at the mercy of a psychopath more than once. But her former lover, Detective Lucas Cameron, brings troubling news. Someone mailed him a taunting note along with recordings of her both at work and at home.
Lucas and his new partner, Detective Dex Finnegan, vow to protect her. Is this case connected to her former attacker? If so, how? This new deviant refers to Lilah as his “Princess,” and kills her “handmaidens” as a sickening warm-up ritual. Now the two detectives and the killer’s target must work together to defeat an atypical killer with a twisted obsession.
