Carey Anderson was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she currently resides. Carey comes from a large family, which is often reflected in the world she created with multiple multi-dimensional characters. Her current passion is African American Romantic Fiction; one day she will add romantic suspense, and children’s books to her resume.
Carey began the Wallace Family Saga as a doodle on her cell phone. Within five years that doodle turned into a complete sixteen book series (most of which can be read as standalone books). The series spans over fifty years into the lives of the Wallace and Latour family story that came to a climatic end when the finale was released in February 2018.
During this time Carey also managed to write a couple of true standalones to provide new readers with a sample of her writing style. Especially for the reader who doesn’t have the time to invest in her saga right away.
Carey would like to thank you for taking the time to get to know her better. Hopefully you’ve found a character within Carey’s world that resonates with you so much that you may actually feel she somehow wrote about you or someone you know.

First You Laugh, Then You 😢: Wallace Family Affairs Volume VI

This book is all about Nellie and her upbringing. She suffered sexual abuse from Bobby, her mom Mary's boyfriend. She has abandonment issues since her mom, on the other hand was aloof, stayed with him. It seems Grandma is the only person she can depend on for unconditional 💘. Until she meets Darryl Wallace who only has eyes for her bestie, Kendra.

Whoa! This one was heavy. Did I actually start feeling sorry for the villain? Nellie is a troubled child and its apparent in everything she does.

I think Kendra was just as troubled as Nellie, the way she managed her acting out was just different.

This story made me laugh, put me in my feelings, and then laugh some more. Great job telling such a heavy story. I can't wait to see what happens next in the next series.

This was my first story by Carey Anderson. I found this story to be delightful & enjoyable. Nellie was a piece of of work & quite an interesting character. Her all "about me attitude" in the beginning made her an easy one to go against. Her best bud Kendra on the other hand, was the opposite. Good storyline & relatable characters & situations throughout. Great read & one that I would recommend to all!
