In our world today, faith and reason are often seen as opposing forces. We are told that belief in God is unreasonable and there is not plausible explanation of his existence. We are told the Gospels are just ancient myths from centuries past and that it's unreasonable to believe they could be trustworthy sources that accurately depict Jesus and his life. We are also told it is unreasonable to believe that the radical claims that Jesus made about himself—especially that he is divine—could possibly be true.
In Demolishing Doubt, evangelist and pastor Cliffe Knechtle, along with his son and fellow pastor Stuart Knechtle, invite you to embark on a transformative journey that will bridge the gap between skepticism and belief—revealing, in the process, that faith and reason do not have to be opposing forces. The Knechtles present the compelling case for the existence of God and the trustworthiness of Jesus Christ, providing the rigorous logic and profound spiritual insights that have made the pair YouTube sensations and the most popular evangelists of the TikTok generation.
In this rational exploration of the Christian faith, the Knechtles explore such topics
The arguments for God's How the universe's existence, its intricate design, and the presence of moral values point toward a transcendent Creator. The reliability of the How the consistency, style, archaeological, and manuscript evidence of the New Testament points to its reliability—and how archaeological findings and external historical sources buttress the case for the reliability of the Gospel narrativesThe claims Jesus made about How the evidence of Jesus' miracles and moral teachings and the transformative impact his resurrection had on his followers culminates in a powerful case for Jesus being an ethical genius and the divine Son of GodThe importance of Why faith is not in conflict with reason but is actually essential for a complete understanding of the truth—and why skepticism can actually be healthy. The response of our How the impact Jesus' teachings have on our consciences—along with the lifestyle benefits we received of forgiveness, happiness, gratitude, perseverance, and self-control when we choose to follow those teachings—points to the truth of the GospelDemolishing Doubt is an invitation to explore the big questions of life with a reasoned and open heart. Whether you are seeking answers, yearning for truth, or looking to deepen your faith, this study will provide a robust and thoughtful exploration of the intersection of faith and reason.

This is a good apologetics book, but it's not for the harsh critic, more for the leaning-towards-Christianity or doubting-Christian who wants reassurance. The Knechtles both wrote it and add in anecdotes about themselves and personal experiences on campuses.
Demolishing Doubt Bible Study Guide plus Streaming Video Discover How Your Deepest Questions Can Lead to Life-Giving Faith by Cliffe Knechtle; Stuart Knechtle
Rating: 4 star rating
If you have ever felt bad for having tough questions about God, you seriously need to check out Demolishing Doubt. This five-week workbook by father-and-son team Cliffe and Stuart Knechtle treats your doubts with respect instead of making you feel guilty for asking hard questions.
The setup is very straightforward. It is a 176-page book that comes with access codes to stream five short, 20-minute videos. The authors break down big topics like science, the accuracy of the Bible, and why suffering exists. They write in plain, everyday language.
The study guide builds toward a powerful conclusion in the final session on why faith matters. The authors use simple examples to show that real faith is a confident step based on solid historical evidence, not a blind guess.
It wraps up by showing how your biggest questions can actually help you build a much stronger relationship with God, which you will be able to share with others. I personally found this bible study hard to follow. Listen to other reviews for a more rounded review.
Thank you, NetGalley, Harper Christian Resources, the authors, Cliffe Knechtle, and Stuart Knechtle, for the book review consideration. All opinions are my own.
What if your doubts aren't the end of your faith journey, but the beginning of a deeper one?
Demolishing Doubt tackles some of the biggest questions people wrestle with about Christianity, faith, science, suffering, and the reliability of the Bible in a way that feels approachable rather than overwhelming. I appreciated that Cliffe and Stuart Knechtle encourage readers to ask hard questions instead of fearing them, while sharing personal stories and real-world conversations that help bring the topics to life.
The audiobook narration wasn't my favorite. The pacing felt a bit drawn out, and I found myself wanting something between my usual x1.25 speed and x1.50. Unfortunately, NetGalley doesn't offer as many playback speed options as Audible, so finding the sweet spot was a little challenging.
Overall, this was an encouraging and thought provoking read for anyone exploring faith, wrestling with doubts, or looking for answers that engage both the heart and the mind. 🖤📚🎧✝️ Highly recommend to read.
Thank you Netgalley for this ALC in exchange for an honest review.
In a culture that is increasingly skeptical of Christianity, Demolishing Doubt is precisely the kind of resource the church needs. Cliffe and Stuart Knechtle have done an amazing job taking complex apologetics like the cosmological argument and the historical reliability of the Gospels and making them widely accessible.
The study is broken down into five highly digestible video sessions, all in at under 25 minutes, making it very easy to fit into a busy schedule.
What I appreciated most was the companion study guide. It doesn't just leave you with the video content. it provides genuine space to process the arguments and apply them practically.
It’s not just about winning arguments; it’s about feeling confident in the foundation of your faith. Highly recommend this for anyone wanting to feel more confident in sharing their faith.
NetGalley ARC: Cliffe and Stuart do a wonderful job breaking down some of the hardest and deepest concepts people have around the Bible. They dig deep and give you so much information on the evidence of God, how the gospels are historically reliable, evidence on Jesus's trustworthiness, how Jesus rose from the dead, and why faith is so important. This study guide is a perfect place to further explore the ideas being presented and how you think and feel about those topics. I think this would be a great addition to any Bible study, home, or church library.
Demolishing Doubt: Discover How Your Deepest Questions Can Lead to Life-Giving Faith
This was a really good book! I am so glad I read it.
I found it a really compelling and fascinating read on believing even though you may have some doubts.
The Knechtles did an excellent way at illustrating some of the top issues and arguments, and described with great detail how to flip the script on skepticism, with responses pointed to scripture.
I really enjoyed the book, and highly recommend for anyone questioning things about their faith.
Wow. Words can’t describe how good this book is. Over the last few years much of my time has been spent watching or listening to Cliffe and Stuart talk on campus’s or on different podcasts. This book compiles so much of what I hear and put it into a practical book that taught me so much!
Wow. My favorite read of 2026. If not my favorite read of all time (besides the Bible). I just simply love Cliffe and Stuart. I truly see them as brothers in Christ. Cliffe has truly helped me so much within my walk with Jesus. He has helped me understand scripture. Has helped me digest and communicate my doubts. Stuart has so much knowledge on the mental side of things and I appreciate it so much. This book is honestly much more than a book to me. I do not even struggle with doubt a lot. But as someone who constantly has questions and is unlearning incorrect doctrines I will definitely reference it a lot. When I saw Cliffe doing a whole chapter on The Sermon On The Mount I knew I would LOVE this book. I am a hugeee Sermon On The Mount girl. I am very glad that he tends to see the importance of those teachings as much as I do. I think the entire Bible can flow from Jesus’ heart posture and that sermon allows us to know what that is. So thankful for the wisdom that was poured into this book. Jesus truly has blessed our lives with Cliffe and Stuart. Do not take this book for granted. And for the skeptic, I promise this book is worth your time. Give their advice a go. But most importantly give your life to Jesus. You will not regret it. He is the best decision you will make!
Great book for Christians struggling with doubt! The book goes into great detail into to topics like the historical evidence of Jesus’s life and resurrection, the reliability of the gospels and how to work through doubts, and why you should look into Jesus as a source to put your faith in. I definitely recommend this book for both Christians and nonbelievers!
