Take the risk, it’s worth it
Great story, witty, feisty dialogue between the main characters, all side characters were well developed and a wild mystery to unfold. Well paced.

What really worked for me was the dynamic between Addison and Remi. The witty sharp-edged banter was an absolute delight to read. Remi was by far my favorite character yet Addison was the most interesting.
The mystery kept me guessing too. The introduction of Picture Night was a genuinely chilling moment that changed the entire tenor of the investigation. The later reveal of the 1975 murders was a perfectly placed bombshell.
Even the secondary characters had depth, even a character as gross as Richard evoked a strange sense of pity.
I really enjoyed it and I can’t wait to see what happens in book 2.
