* This prequel takes place six years before Chasing Forever and focuses on the beginning of Lucas and Regan’s story. *
Lucas Evanston has it all…
He’s captain of his baseball team, president of his fraternity, and he’s on his way to Stanford law school after he graduates in less than a year. And he can’t wait to get the hell out of Texas and start his new life…
Until he sees Regan Pierce.
One look from her turns his life upside down and inside out, but Regan isn’t any college freshman.
She’s the daughter of the man who ruined the life of his childhood friend…the same friend who would do almost anything to destroy Regan.
After spending years practicing law and a million other things, Lisa decided to pursue her dream of becoming a writer and she must confess that inventing characters is so much more fun than writing contracts and legal briefs. A native of Colorado, she lives with her husband and three children in Denver. When she isn’t managing the chaos of raising three children and owning her own business, she can be found reading or writing a book.
This was SO GOOD. It was so well written— it had me captivated from start to finish. I literally read this in one sitting. It ended on a gut wrenching cliffhanger (which I usually hate)—- but I CANNOT WAIT to read the conclusion to Regan and Lucas’s story!!
OMG! Lisa Cardiff has done it again! Wrecking Forever is amazing. I am again going to be addicted, I can tell. This book is so well written, I was hoping for a HEA, but no...Oh, the cliffhanger! Highly recommend this book!
This prequel gives the background and details of Regan’s humiliation in 'Chasing Forever'. I find it laughable that Lucas claims to love Regan but constantly chooses Olivia over her. Also, how can he condone what Olivia has up her sleeves? Poor little rich girl always plays the victim. What good lawyer wouldn’t see through that? Lucas is headed to grad school to study law. I sure wouldn’t want someone that naive to represent me in court.
I’m not a fan of bedroom scenes used to make ‘filler pages’. Thus, I skimmed MUCH of this book since it was loaded with that ‘filler’ copy. I like storylines to follow plots.
Lucas is so determined to declare his love for Regan but then has no problem helping to make her the laughing stock on campus. He convinces himself she needs to see all his sins in ugly, living color, which does nothing to damage his reputation but it sure does hers.
Drew, Lucas’ best friend, knew and was up to his eyeballs on whatever Lucas planned. He insisted Regan go upstairs to look for Lucas…. He knew exactly what Regan would see once the door opened… and did she get an eye full. .. and an ear full. Drew may be a ‘friend’ but a true friend would not be a part of such a scheme. These are college students, not high school teenyboppers. A real friend would have talked some sense into Lucas asking just how badly he wanted to hurt Regan.
A big problem here is that no one pays for their ‘sins’. Olivia, Scott, Drew and even Regan’s dad get off scott free. Will they have to face accountability in 'Chasing Forever'? Let’s hope so, but I’m not holding my breath.
