I had always been reserved. It came from being a preacher’s kid. My days were filled with abiding by the good book and my father’s rules. However, that one semester in high school, Nehemiah Newson changed everything for me. Not even my father could stop our worlds from intertwining and our love from blossoming. He was mine and I was his. Or so I thought.
From the first time I saw her and those long, toned legs running down the track, I just knew she was mine. So many people wanted to see us fail… then it happened. She slipped away, and I had no idea it would take years before I saw her again. Seeing her again made our love more complicated than before. Only, I didn’t care about those obstacles standing in our way. I was coming back for what was mine.
a second chance romance is always going to do it for me! a pleasant and fun read that tugged at the heartstrings and filled my heart at the same time ❤️🩹
I absolutely loved this story. I usually am not a fan of books that start out with the MC's in a relationship with someone else but this was done so well, the storyline just made sense. Nehemiah was not playing about his Boog. I loved that he stood 10 toes down for her even through his disappointment, frustration and hurt. He was getting his wife and that was just that on that. Very well written.
It's amazing what selfish men will destroy their families and marriages for!
So glad Morgan refuse to let her hypocrite father and sleazy husband destroy her and her children's lives. Justin and Jolie should have been up under the jail for what they did to 3 year old Mariah.
Bullying, lying, infidelity, deceite, and all the drama that came was absolutely a draw. This was a beautifully written story, in my opinion. There was an introduction, the body, and a great conclusion! Nehemiah and Morgan still had passion and love after 13 yrs. away from each other. Nothing topped their love and longing to be together. Megan was the cherry on the pie when she received her biological daddy with open arms. It was beautiful how her mother prepared her to receive her daddy. Megan was wise beyond her 12 years.
Meanwhile, her dad, Gioni, and ex-husband, Justin, had to be the lowest of the scum. Mr. holier than thou bible quoting hypocrite and Mr. nasty sneaky lying threesome, respectively. What you do in the dark definitely will come to light. Mr Gioni and Justin, the ex., Joli and her husband Jonathan, and whoever else got thee ass whupping and tongue lashing they rightfully deserved. They each deserved more than they actually received.
Morgan and Nehemiah had a rocky number of years, but justice and love prevailed over everything. No more interference from anyone, PERIODT! The Newson's are exciting and intriguing.
I greatly enjoyed this second chance book with Nemi and Morgan. They loved each other since they were in high school together but were separated by Morgan's hypocritical father, Gio. Once Nemi saw Morgan again, he was bound and determined that she was going to be his again. If the word audacity needs a picture for the dictionary, Gio's would be there. I couldn't stand him, and I was happy when fate took care of him. Morgan's ex-husband, Justin, was a piece of work as well. He was another one who got what he deserved. This book had just the right amount of drama mixed with love and passion that made this a good read. It was good to have an update on Ruger and Kenzi and to learn about Ruger's surprise connection to Hemi. Kamil and Kera were also included which I was happy about. I'm hoping that the author will also give us books on Drue, Chelsea, Shelby/Brandon, Shanice/Loon and Jaxson. I know. I know. I'm very greedy about books. 😂😂
I like how we got the back story of Nehemiah and Morgan to show how their love began. I can truly say that I dislike Gio with a passion and how he tried to use the word of God to manipulate and stronghold to get his way. I like the fact that Nehemiah and Morgan acknowledged and apologized to each other for past mistakes and then put the past behind them not letting it get in the way of their present relationship. Their love held the test of time even with them being apart for fourteen years. Justin was a weak punk and a bíťćh made nicca and I feel as though Jonathan had him bent over as well. I’m glad that they got justice for sweet Mariah against Jolie and Seth. I did want Morgan to glow all the way up like going back into her career. Overall, this was a good second chance at love romance book in my opinion.
Ok normally I hate long separations and hidden kids. This particular story was told in a way to make you understand that sometimes outside forces can deter a love. One chance encounter reunites that love and things are turned around for to teenage lovers to see what could have been. The pieces were placed back to the puzzle despite spiteful exes and overbearing parents. I really loved Boogie and Booby!
I literally couldn’t put this down until I finished after 1am!! The characters are so well written and I just got caught up in the fast paced story telling. There was so many things going on I had to keep reading to see what would happen next.
This was really good to read but I’m too sleepy to keep writing.
This is my first read from Author Rosè, and won’t be my last. The way that Morgan and hemi loved each other was swoon worthy ! I couldn’t stand her evil ,conniving dad. I’m glad everything came to light and Meg, Morgan, hemi, & honeybee received their Hea.
This was such a beautiful story. Nehemiah and Morgan deserve the world. The fact that their love was put on pause for 14 years because of Morgan's father was b*******. Her daddy deserved to have his a** beat up and down his book. Like that Negro was the biggest hypocrite I've ever read in a book. You big mad for that many years over something that wasn't even your daughter's fault Or the do she loves Fault. He lucky all he got was his a** beat. Morgan's mom dealing with that all these years add me looking at her sideways too.. But I was happy she stood up for her kids in the end. Justin's a**, Is disrespectfully f*** him, That's all I'm saying on that. I loved the relationship between Nehemiah and his daughter once they were able to form that bond. That half a hoe just cheated just like you to be alive Cause if it were up to me a ditch is a place.👀👀😏.
A forever love and a bae like Hemi. One thing that’s horrible is someone manipulating you with the Bible! Morgan’s daddy Gio was trash and has his daughters marrying trash! This book was a page and hoping we get to hear from other family members. The supporting cast was funny!
It was good but it felt rushed and repetitive details throughout the entire book was overwhelming. The same detail could have been replaced with elaborating more on certain parts to really expand on the the story.
Morgan and Nehemiah truly loved and should have been together, but they both had controlling Father's, especially Morgan. Morgan father was the worst and a hypocrite, I love how Morgan sister was her protector and stood on business! Nehemiah went on to do great things in spite of his father's interference, but at least Nehemiah father knew where he was wrong, and his sisters supported him wholeheartedly! They made a beautiful baby girl known to Nehemiah, but you wouldn't know because baby girl clung to her daddy !
I loved the ending and how well everything was addressed!

Nehemiah and Morgan's second chance romance was beautiful. 💕 I liked that there was no major fallout between them when they were reunited. 🤝 Morgan's father was truly a wolf in sheep's clothing. 🐺 Both exes were a piece of work. 🙄 Justin's betrayal was beyond what I was expecting. 😱 I was like, "Wow!" 😮 The reason for both fathers not condoning their union was also unexpected. 🤨 Another "Wow!" 😲 I'm happy that no matter the setbacks, they still overcame them and were able to finally be together.
I'm almost speechless! 🥺🥹 This was so beautiful. Real second chance love. A love that was tested and stood true. Restoring what was never breakable put this story over the top fa me!
Don't judge a book (or my people's life) by a cover. Nehemiah was not what people called him. He prevailed in a household that spoke, "Do as I say, not as I do!" Morgan had a wool pulled over her eyes and her brain washed with some real strong bleach. Her daddy sold her a bunch of bull. I'm so happy she finally got from under it. It stank real bad and had me hot as fish grease.
Great job on another successful release! Looking forward to hearing from Lawrence and Shanice soon! 💚💜💛
A lot of drama and not usually my types of tropes but I really enjoyed this one. Morgan is the daughter of a preacher and she’s a “good girl”, until she wasn’t…. Her mean ass father didn’t want her to be with the love of her life, her high school sweetheart and would do whatever he has to do to keep them away. This one is about true love, infidelity (trope I don’t like), family and resilience. I enjoyed the writing and the story.
This story had me. The way Hemi and Mo Boogie were manipulated and lied too was on a whole other level. I'm glad they were able to find their way back to each other and start over again because they both deserved it. I loved Drue...she was about that life, especially when it came to their hypocritical daddy. That was a man with audacity! Megan and Hemi had this instant connection that 13/14 years of not knowing the real couldn't compete with. Happy Reading Y'all!💋 BTW, I hope we see more of this group.
This book me plenty drama and a second chance romance. It was good to see Nehemiah and Morgan get their happily ever after especially after her father tried to keep them apart. Her father was a piece of work and so was Justin but neither of them could keep Nehemiah and Morgan apart or their love from getting stronger.
