So, my review: Pretty damn good! I'd give the whole serial 4.5 stars!
First, amazingly, there were few if any spelling/grammar/typo issues.
Second, the cheese was perfect! Yes, it is a novel that is advertised as BBW/M and she did a great job making Misty an incredibly sexy woman without turning BBW into a fetish. Bolryder also managed to write a nice romantic novel without participating in the sex-scene tropes that many authors fall into. Her description is steamy, tasteful, and (mostly) true to life.
The story was absolutely not predictable to me. I couldn't tell who were the good guys and who were the bad guys until they were revealed, but of course you know from the start Lindon is the romantic hero, and you definitely fall hard for him.
Altogether, 4.5 stars for a novel I didn't think I would like as much as I did. I have already bought her follow-up works and am looking forward to the reads.

Alright just a little boring. Why do all the BBW books have insecure women? This reminded me of so many other books where the women are all tough on the outside but you slowly see that their weight and image is a major problem with them. To top it off you have the typical interracial problems that (the woman especially when she's black) has to come from a low paying job or be in it for the money or a good looking man. In this one, Misty stocks shelves at a bookstore and only agrees to go because she wants to meet a good looking man. With her being overweight and a virgin she's so excited to just get attention from the men that she comes off as naive and desperate. Alright read just kind of sick of these types of women.

I'm sorry this was unfortunately disappointing for me. I expected a lot, being there was mention of so many super hot dudes Misty was going to meet. And that they'd be fighting for her and whatnot. But though that's generally accurate, there's other things that just drove me nuts.
Firstly, supposedly werewolves are 'naturally good looking'. Yeah, according to what standard? Second is that the really important parts relating to Misty's history and werewolves in general is summarized by Misty, in like a paragraph. That would have been better shown in conversations and the like I think, than just "let me sum up, now back to smexy wolves!" Third, she's told she'll be happy once she's married. If she WANTED to find a husband originally, I wouldn't doubt this. But she was just chilling in her life, not needing no man, ya follow me? Then there's a bit more, like the way these werewolves seem to have mating on their minds, but in this fakey reality show kind of way. Yes, they will 'win' if Misty picks them, but I can't stand how they don't seem to want to learn to care about her, they just wanna jump her bones and claim her to their own pack. Lindon acted like a child at times, but otherwise, he was a bit more real of a character. And he actually seemed interested in Misty for herself.
I've seen in reviews that there's much more to the story later on, but I don't think I can bring myself to continue it. I do need to find someone who has read it all the way through though, so I can find out which wolf gets picked. I’m rooting for Lindon, but I'll take Lock otherwise ;)

Alpha Contender
I bought this book because I'm familiar with the series. This one is hot, exciting, and sexy. A new alpha female has to choose between ten eligible alpha males. Before it even starts I know how it's going to end. Lindon will be the winner. He's not very likable. I'd go so far as to say he's a jerk. I agree with the other guys who say it's not fair he's competing, as Lindon's family is rich, powerful, and already has taken two alpha females.
I liked Jack, the first guy to show up. I was disappointed that he wasn't allowed to present his flowers. Gifts from the rest of the guys were shoved into the kitchen then dismissed.
I had a hard time keeping all ten guys straight. There's just too many of them.
As usual, there were some sloppy errors of spelling, punctuation, missing words, and even a wrong character name (Misty is called Rose at one point and misty without caps another time).
Sigh. Of course I'll continue to buy future books to see what happens next. (Lindon and Misty live happily ever after.)

First let me tell you I read this as a "FREE" read through Amazon...after finishing it I went back and bought the boxed set on sale for $00.99...

The werewolf version of the Bachelorette without the audience. Just ten hot males who are hot for her body and want her for their mate. Make that eleven. Lindon is supposed to be the referee protector of the competition. He's not supposed to want her--he's had his chance at love and lost her.
So he keeps telling himself and Misty. His body just isn't convinced.
Men/wolves--heavy on the wolves--are out to win her over. She's always been the one teased or ignored in her human life. However she isn't human and is now in a new world--a true innocent--having to choose her life mate from ten guys who all want to eat her up in the best possible way. Who would have thought having ten hot men to chose from could be so exhausting?
Can't wait to read the next one and finish this series.

wow.. this was amazing book...it was just what I needed, I found it on my search for something new to read!!!! The characters were absolutely amazing! I couldn't put my kindle down for a second. The sexual tension in the book will knock your socks off. A Good friend of mine once told me that writing about kissing was truly the hardest thing to get right well, Terry Bolryder you, killed it!I had beautiful daydreams of these kisses, just amazing writing! Thank you for this short but fantastic read! and I cant wait to read the rest of this series! I normally take off for cliffhangers cause they just irritate me but I have to say they too were done with such finesse that I was just eager to purchase the next book!

Not enough
This story has potential but the author seemed to sacrifice character development in order to set up the conflict that will drive this serial story. Since I didn't get a good feel for the heroine I have no reason to continue with the series.

Acho que não li muito bem, apesar da mocinha ser interessante, principalmente por ela não ser tão padrão, não curti muito o andar da história. Além de quê, pensei que fosse um personagem por livro, não quatro livros sobre a mesma história (erro meu por não verificar), não pretendo ler os outros.

Promising start 3.5 stars.
I really liked the synopsis for this book but it's a serial book and since it mentions ten alphas I was worried I'd be looking an another nine books but thankfully there's four in total so that's not too bad, now it mentions they end on a cliffhanger and while I don't like unexpected cliffhangers I do appreciate being told there is one, it's certainly not a problem here since all the books in this series are out so there's no waiting, it's the waiting I don't like, I've no patience.
I enjoyed this book, I felt if anything the beginning was a bit rushed but I can understand why, it's not the main part of the story so it didn't make sense to drag it out but personally I would have liked a bit more.
While I'm sure it's no surprise how this series will end, well it will be a huge shock if it doesn't, but this can be said about most romantic reads, it's the journey I like and I'm looking forward to this one.
Even though I enjoyed this book I'm not completely sold on Misty she seems a little shallow and flighty, Lindon, I'm not his biggest fan but I imagine as this series progresses I'll like him more and more that's generally the way it works.

*** 5+ Stars for the series!!! ***
I was completely hooked on Alpha Games and Alpha Rogue, and was hoping this Alpha Contender series would be able to keep up. Luckily for me it actually surpassed what I had hoped for!! If I could give this one 6 stars I would!! I loved the previous 2 series and rated them as 5 star reads, but I seriously loved this series just one star more. Ms. Bolryder gives us a relatable leading lady, with insecurities about her appearance (mainly her curves), who just found out she's a werewolf. And as if that wasn't enough she's about be whisked away to a mansion where 10 eligible alpha's are going to prove their worth to her. All I can say is WOW!!! And how can I get in on this?! I definitely wouldn't mind being fought over by a group of men who know how to appreciate a curvy woman. Ms. Bolryder upped the suspense, action, and humor with this series making it an awesome story to get lost in. Onto the next series!!!

I thought this was an awesome book and that I was so lucky to be able to read it. The way that the author takes something that so many people seem to do and twists it into a different world is what held my attention through the entire book.
Misty is just your every day average girl, but she has a secret that not even she knows. When Rowen comes into her life and flips it upside down, he doesn't just flip it, he shows her that the hot men she reads about all the time are actually real.
Lindon is hard and uncaring. He doesn't think that he has a mate because who thought he was mated to has already passed. The only reason he has anything to do with Misty is because of his father.
Now throw in ten alphas that want nothing more than to take Misty and be her mate and you're in for a wild ride.

A chubby girl, no parents or family around ends up finding out from a stranger that says knew her biological parents, that gave her for adoption, that she is an alpha wolf shifter and on top of that she has to find a mate. Choosing from a bunch of 10 male alpha sifters that will stay with her until she decides it's just a crazy idea for someone that has never been look twice with desire from anyone in her life.
Misty finds herself in a situation were the one that she wants pretends he does not want her. He was rude with her at the beginning, hurting her feelings and remembering her that men never looked at her with desire. But boy she was wrong!
Love this story and got me at the edge of my sit all the time. Once I started I couldn't put it down and damn it, it was great! When I reach the end I wanted to know more and I couldn't wait to keep reading so... reading I did *grin*

Great book great lead into story.
I gave this book 4 stars because this this was a very good book I love the two main characters Misty and Linden they really have good chemistry. This book had it all Romance, a lot of hot Alpha man loyalty and drama can't wait to start book to and was so glad to see that you had an editor. I know I only gave this book a four star but I say five stars for outstanding books the ones that are my favorites upon favorites, so a four-star from me is extremely good and I definitely recommend this book to other readers, strongly recommend it in fact. you will definitely enjoy this Author, I know I did.

I really liked this, which really surprised me. In my experience with novella series thus far nothing happens in the first book. I can't put this one in that group. Quite a lot a happened given the length, and I liked what I saw. Not only was there an actual progression of the story but, I could actually see what the characters personality was like. It was written very well. This is the first novella series where I want to see what happens next and that I'd actually be willing to buy.

I don't normally like serial novels, but the author was upfront about this and the first volume was free. Each additional volume was lowly priced at $0.99, which I also appreciated as I've seen some that were priced $2.99 + and I think that's robbery for the same size work. Anyways...about this one...
I really enjoyed this. I've never read anything by this author and the blurb convinced me to give this a try. Glad I did. I rushed out and bought the remaining volumes in this series.

I really liked this book....BUT... There are FOUR books to this series :(
I am not a fan of that, and I have really started to read reviews, a lot of confusion with the story line and the characters.
I did some twists and surprises and the ending I see is HOT!!! But I don't want to be yanked back and forth through 3 books to finally get them together. ( wears me out ) so I'll pass on the other three books.

Whoo-Hoo!
What a great start to an interesting theme for shifter romance! I like the idea of the alphas winning their mate instead of just having the heroine fall into their laps. I like the feistiness of Misty and her decision to make her own way and overcome her body image issues. Lindon is sweet in his determination to not want her for himself, but is fighting a losing battle.

Will read all four first
London and Misty's story intrigues me. I normally do not like when authors break one book into several parts, but this author does tell you upfront. That I appreciated. London and Misty's story intrigues me. I normally do not like when authors break one book into several parts, but this author does tell you upfront. That I appreciated. This book was something new for me, something I had never encountered before, and I loved it! I wondered how the author would be able to keep so many characters apart without the reader mix them up, but she gave great descriptions of all the characters, and it was easy to follow. The writing is great, the story is interesting, and I can't wait to find out what will happen next.

Well, I had doubts going into this book from the other reviews but, I'm glad I tried it. I really like this book. I am going to finish the entire series for this little serial and I hate cliffhanger books but this one seems interesting. I can't wait to learn more about the other contenders... yummy....
