New York Times and USA Today bestselling author L. P. Dover is a southern belle living in North Carolina with her husband and two beautiful girls. Before she began her literary journey she worked in periodontics, enjoying the wonderment of dental surgeries.

She loves to write, but she also loves to play golf, go on mountain hikes and white-water rafting, and has a passion for singing. Her two youngest fans expect a concert each and every night before bedtime, usually Christmas carols.

Author Sara Holton seems to get tied into another mystery when
Leanna Porrello is looking for her son and Sara just might be the one person to help her find him. A trip To Wyoming to try to find some information might lead Sara to what she’s looking for or it might lead her straight to danger! This is a mystery with romance that slowly builds to unravel the story. Part of a series but this can be read as a stand-alone. Told in first person and Sara’s POV.

I read an ARC of the first book in this series and I enjoyed it! I knew that this book focused on a secondary character from the first book and I was looking forward to it releasing! I received an ARC and I made it my next read! After reading, I can say that I actually preferred this book to the first one! The plot kept me intrigued and wanting to read on and find out what was going to happen next! It only took me a few sittings to read as well! There was romance in the plot and I loved the way it developed! The characters knew each other but had never met until certain circumstances brought them together! The romance allowed for some steamy scenes too! There was also a lot of mystery in the plot and I wanted to find out what was going on and how everything was going to progress! The characters were also amazing and made this book even better! Sara was the main character, and in this book she was an author and was doing well for herself! She then found herself dragged back into the danger from the first book! I felt like Sara tried her best and she just wanted a quiet life, but was dragged into the danger! I liked Sara a lot! She had very supportive friends who were there for her and had a good life! Elijah was the love interest of Sara! I loved Elijah and he lived on a ranch with horses and dogs! I also found him an intriguing character because it took a while to find out what he was hiding, even though I did guess early on lol! It was easy to see how Elijah felt about Sara and he was protective of her! He also had his reasons for hiding his secrets and I did understand why he wanted to stay under the radar! This book was only written from Sara’s point of view! I was sort of expecting this book to be written this way because the first book was written from only the female character’s point of view! I understood why it was written this way because it was Sara’s story! It also kept Elijah a mystery and meant I found things out at the same time as Sara! I was still able to connect with Elijah, but it would have been interesting to have went inside his head and saw Sara through his eyes! I now can’t wait to read the next book in this series! I know that it’s again going to focus on a secondary character, but the synopsis sounds amazing! The next book releases in March, which isn’t long of a wait at all! I’ll definitely be reading it as soon as it does! I also love the cover for this book! It suits the mystery theme of the plot and I love how well it matches the cover for the first book! It would draw me to the book as well if I didn't already know the author's name! Big thank you to L.P. Dover for an ARC of Hidden in Silence!

This is the second book in this series and we can read Sara story. Having just divorced her husband Sara is trying to find her feet being single again. Being a writer, living in Shorehaven, and having her very close friends has always been enough. But now she has the mysterious messages hanging over her. After everything they went through when Levi was stalking Abby. Now having to to Wyoming to see her editor, trying to discreetly gather information. Being out in the country with the snow and the mountains actually feels comforting. Plus the man sitting in the truck Elijah Phillips her editor is nothing like she expected. Feeling safe and at ease isn't something she's used too. But there's something about the man that calms her. Going back to Shorehaven after the time she spent with him isn't easy. But nothing in her life is easy or as it seems. But then again not everybody is who they say they are. Now her life is spiralling. This story has so many twists and turns. Even with her close friends rallying around to protect her will it be enough. Or is the enemy someone she leasts expects. I couldn't put this book down. I thought Abby's story was compelling, but Sara's goes to another level. I can't wait for the next book in this series.

Leanna sends Sara Holton a cryptic text message. She thinks Sara is the only one that can help her. Sara has a connection to the editor of the book she believes her so wrote. Sara has a mystery to solve.

Sara follows the clues to Jackson Hole, Wyoming and Elijah Phillips. She discovers so much more than she expected. She went searching for answers. She left with even more.

Hidden in Silence is a mystery with the perfect amount of romance and suspense to keep the reader entertained for hours. The unexpected moments kept me guessing the future.

Wow this book is amazing. Has you guessing from the first page. Sara is a writer that has just finished another book. She has sent it off and now waiting to meet with the editor for final touches. She also has a few questions for him about an author. Leanna has asked for a favor and Sara has no idea what to do. Elijah is in Wyoming and loves the peace and quiet while edits others work. He came to pick up Sara and sparks flew. She poked around his world until she had to go home. Her heart was heavy and not just with sadness but with hope of maybe her life was going to be ok.

What an intense, exciting and full of unexpected events are happening in this story. You will be in complete unsuspecting for some of the events that are happening, and dealing with some odd happenings in her life. Her life as an author appears to find her in an unexpected, yet real life type of events. You will keep guessing and intrigued by the events continuing to take place. Absolutely loving this story 😍.

So I'm proud of myself with this book, I guessed the biggest twist within the first few chapters and that hasn't happened in a long time.
But as you can tell from my rating, that didn't stop it from being an enjoyable read, I couldn't put it down as I just had to find out how it all unfolded.
Despite my brilliant guess, it was very cleverly done.
I'm purposefully not commenting on the characters.
I cannot wait to see what the author comes up with next.

Holy cow!! Talk about a plot twist I did NOT see coming. I was captivated from beginning to end. The emotion is raw and the storyline is gripping! This book had all the feels. Can’t wait for the next one!
