I’m Aurora — mom, educator, and forever coffee-reheater.
I work in inclusive education, supporting multilingual children and their families through learning, identity, and transition. I believe language is more than grammar — it’s how we make sense of who we are, especially in times of change.
My focus is on mothers and women moving through tender, complex seasons — motherhood, reinvention, and those quiet identity shifts no one really prepares you for.
I write with empathy, honesty, and a touch of irreverence. If a reader feels a little less alone after something I’ve written, then I’ve done my job.
A wonderful book with great insights and prompts to help a new mom feel human again. You’re not just a food source or baby rocker you’re doing hard things with love for your child.
A sincere and moving story about the joys and challenges of motherhood. An honest, not trivial, open-hearted book on the beauties but also on the difficulties that motherhood entails and that are not always understood by those who do not experience them personally. The book is smooth, divided into 11 chapters, plus an extra final section that is a real gem. Very nice also the part present at the end of each chapter with advice, encouragement, incentives to reflect and short spaces to write, as if it were a kind of personal diary. Absolutely recommended, also as a gift idea for a new mom!
As a mental health professional and solo mom, I have to tell you: If you read ONE book on parenting, let this be it! Yes, most books have endless advice on how to do this and that... and in the end, you are left trying to remember a thousand steps and feeling tons of guilt over making mistakes all the time... BUT this one! This book is about real life: motherhood is not all pink bows and roses, as a woman you will face a huge transformation... and this book will be there to tell you the truth of life and how to deal with it. I highly recommend it!
This is spot on--especially when the author talks about all the conflicting advice thrown at new moms! I was hoping for some advice for moms with more than one, since that's it's own minefield, but this is unequivocally for first time moms. If that describes you, this just might help relieve some of the stress!
A lovely and refreshing read! This book is full of real stories and gentle humor, it made me smile so many times. It’s a great gift for new moms or a thoughtful treat for yourself if you need a little encouragement!
