Bent over, ass spanked red, soaking wet and thinking she's ready for me to claim her virgin body. But my little mate has no idea what's coming once I yank her cute thong aside.
Because I'm not just going to ravage her more completely than any mortal man ever could.
I'm going to breed her.
Then I'm going carry her off to my world and do it over and over again.

Amazon Top 100, USA Today bestselling, and #1 bestselling author in multiple Amazon categories, Loki Renard writes sizzling hot, occasionally dark and twisted stories of dominance, submission and discipline.
This was a funny, sexy read. I love, love, love the dialog between the characters. I enjoyed watching Meliisa embrace her inner chaos and watching Ornix try to keep up with her is hysterical.
while the premise of the plot and story was very good and the story itself was well written and detailed, so i'd give it more stars, there were many aspects of this story i didn't like so i had to give it only 2. Ornix was a cruel, abusive, self centered jerk who used spanking, physical punishment and some sexual encounters as a way to control and tame Melissa caring nothing for her consent, her wishes, her enjoyment or anything she wanted. He says he chose her because she was a natural leader who could think outside the box yet he does everything possible to rein her in, change her behaviour, break her spirit and mold her into a submissive lump who would just pop out dragon babies for him. He took her virginity roughly after meeting her only once previously turning into his dragon like body during the act including bigger genitals scaring the crap out of her. then takes her without permission to his dragon realm where he proceeds to have to have sex with her 3 more times in order to stop her aging and give her dragon protection. she doesn't want or consent to this he doesn't care. the second time he uses her roughly giving no pleasure and hurting her physically all as punishment for trying to escape because she thinks she's inside a computer game and he does nothing to ensure that she truly understands this is his real world and not a game. he has sex with her in front of a large group of humans again as punishment regardless of her embarassment and also forces bottom sex on her as punishment for further behaviour issues but she's supposedly enjoying everything he does to her. not realistic at all. no young girl of 19 forced to have sex with someone 40 whos a virgin and feisty enough to continue to try to escape and fight back who doesn't give up is going to be submissive enough to take constant spankings and physical punishment and forced sexual encounters and just love everything hes doing. Ornix claims to have waited thousands of years for a mate yet treats her horribly even going so far as to maim her all under the name of protecting her from hurting herself. and that part is glossed over in the storyline and her extreme hurt and anger at this abuse isn't even explored. Ornix just continues to harp on the fact that her only worth is to pop out dragon babies which she repeatedly says she isn't ready for at 19 and doesn't want and doesn't even tell her the truth about how the babies come about until the very end. then suddenly shes all in on having babies right away. If Ornix's character had evolved thru the story into a better person and changed his behaviour and had some redeeming qualities the story would have been ok but he doesn't. he just continues to be a self centered controlling jerk who continues to force his views of what is acceptable onto Melissa and punish her every time he can't force her to conform to his wishes. There is no consideration for her young age essentially a teenager, her lack of maturity due to her age, the fact she has to get used to being in an entirely new realm and losing her human life/world, the life she had led to this point that may be why she reacts the way she does nothing. she is just kidnapped, mated without consent and expected to suddenly behave like his perfect dragon mate and pop out babies and stop thinking for herself. basically become his little robot who thinks and talks and walks and behaves like he programmed her. His behaviour is sickening and destroys the entire story. I wanted to climb in the book and slit his throat personally. maiming her like he did was the last straw he doesn't love her in any way. he just wants a pet he can control, abuse and have as a sex slave and dress it up as protection. he says its love but every encounter he says he will make her behave no matter what so that shows he just wants to force her to become a submissive twit with no brains no thinking for herself etc. he doesn't want a leader or someone who can think for themselves because he does everything he can to break that in her. its too bad really because this could have been an excellent story. Melissa needs to pay her fines to get her degree from the University. Lucky for her, her bestie knows of a job that she can land as an intern. When Melissa meets Ornix, she doesn’t understand the pull he has. Ornix knew as soon as he scented her that she was his mate. A human to be taken into his realm. When she is whisked away from her world to another plan, it seems awfully familiar. When I first started reading, I thought ok new work she is going to have to adapt. But then when you find out the world is the same as one of the games she played, that is when it gets interesting. First off, she keeps thinking she is dreaming. And between her living like she is in the game, you sort of feel like we are too. Then Ornix isn’t too happy about who this came about and trying to keep his mate safe. The story is like Tron meets Matrix meets Last Starfighter. Very interesting.

It starts with a great premise. OTT much older H finds fated mate. h semi falls for H after smegsy times. H spirits away h to his castle. h talks video games and H is clueless. Its crazy cute.
When the author explains more than once about how the heroine grew up poor, but with rich friends. And the heroine acts like an entitled brat that thinks she has better opportunities around the corner, and acts out ever other scene; I just couldn't.
I get that the h is young, she just graduated college. But she was acting like a tWeenager. 🤦♀️
The FMC is immature and the MMC is closed-minded, but they are somehow both written in a way that keeps them mostly likable and definitely worth reading about. The pacing is high-speed, the spice and domination elements are on-point, and the premise is super-cool. The villain feels a bit forced and the conflict comes to a bit of an abrupt end. I really wish there was more of these characters after they understand each other. It is not the most sophisticated book, but it really was fun, entertaining, and an easy read—the sort of thing everyone needs on their book shelf. I will definitely read more by this author.
I loved the storyline and it made for excellent reading. It’s well written, very entertaining and full of surprises. While visiting a business associate, Ornix finds his mate Melissa and from there the story takes off. I loved Melissa, she is a little rebel who defies just about every order from Ornix because she just can’t help herself. The story is full of humor especially with the bantering between Melissa and Ornix. They get their HEA but there are a lot of bumps a,one the way. MFC Melissa THINKS she is getting a well paid internship with the partner of her best friends father, Mr. Ornix. Well, sort of because dragon in disguise Mr. Ornix has just discovered she is his mate! Enjoyed Dragon’s Mate a dark and steamy shifter romance that was well written, with expertly crafted characters, humor, spankings, passion and a college grad about to experience one heck of a business learning curve. The surprises keep coming in this imaginative and entertaining read!.

Melissa must pay university fines to graduate and takes an internship job suggested by her friend. She feels an inexplicable attraction to Ornix, who recognizes her as his mate and takes her to his realm. This new world feels familiar to Melissa, resembling a game she played. Initially believing she’s dreaming, she navigates the world as if it’s the game, creating an immersive experience for the reader. Ornix struggles to protect her while grappling with the circumstances of their connection.

Fascinating dragon world 4 stars. - No chemistry between Melissa and Ornix. There is no build-up to their bedroom encounter. He offered her an intern job and after she accepted, the next thing you know is that they are having a rough bedroom scene. There is no sensuality in the subsequent mating scenes either. I like the plot though and how the author uses the backdrop of an RPG video game as part of the story. I don’t think this should be the end. I think Nox should get his own book. I received an advanced copy and voluntarily chose to review it.
What starts with Melissa getting a internship with Mr Ornix turns into a story of multiple matings between Melissa and Ornix and a dragon realm that is strangely familiar. I love how Loki Renard takes a couple of discordant themes, mashes them together to create an unexpected storyline that throbs with unleashed chaos and manic energy. I spent the whole story thinking, whoa, THAT’S what’s next!?, and then reading on with this gripping story. A wild read.
This one was different… Ornix lured his fated mate Melissa with a job offer and took her to his realm. They straddle worlds between the modern and the ancient, which seems remarkably familiar thanks to Ornix’s nephew. Melissa’s undisciplined, impulsive, chaotic and mischievous but he loves her. Even though she keeps trying to escape… I received a free copy of this book. This review was posted voluntarily.
4 1/2 stars - Enjoyable story I'd read. This story has a possessive alpha male dragon shifter, Ornix and Melissa our human who needs pay her fines to get her degree from the University, so she gets a job as his intern. This story is a BDSM romance with all the discipline, etc. The characters attraction toward each other is written from the first chapter and beyond. The characters are likable, and the storyline was entertaining in this copy I'd volunteer to read and review.
This is the first book f this authors that I genuinely hated. It was a complete struggle to get through. There were just no redeeming qualities of any character H, h, or any of the side characters. The H every time he showed any depth he would immediately say or do something horrible. The h was just a plain one demential childish brat. The Nephew was the most interesting but in the end was just another immature brat.
So so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so bad. Zero substance, terrible grammar, and way too long for absolutely no reason. If you are going to write a dirty book, just write a dirty book. No need to torture the reader with extra details and 300 pages of disaster. I honestly have no idea how this author became a “USA Today Bestseller.”
I think you will thoroughly enjoy this tale even, if like me you are not a gamer. There is something so refreshingly relatable about our FMC and there is some serious Daddy Dom Dragon energy from our MMC. There is plenty of pace, tension and adventure, along with a twist or two that will entertain and entrance you, as is typical of a Loki Renard romance. Enjoy.
At time the book had a good plot, but honestly felt the author was reaching for things to add to the book to keep it interesting. It lack for me personally. I enjoyed the female character. I wish more details information was given about the male character.
I enjoyed the premise of the story, the world that was created in the dragon realm and some of the characters' interactions. I usually like a dominating male lead, but I had some trouble warming up to him and feeling a lot of chemistry between them. Still plenty of elements to make it a good story!!
I liked this book. Ornix and Melissa's story offered up and intense blend of spice, action, drama, and humor. I really liked Ornix but for me Melissa was just OK. I did like their chemistry though as a couple.
FMC-pointlessly contrary and chaotic brat MMC - self-aggrandizing, high handed “brat tamer” who makes absolutely 0 effort to learn how to tame his brat Villain - 4th wall breaking obvious and only exists on the periphery to move the MCs relationship along I just can’t reconcile with this one.
But author writes strong mmcs & stupid af fmcs. Come on. Shes always, in every freaking book dumber than a box of rocks. Hes always 5 steps ahead & looking for a reason to hit her- every single time.
