Rate this book
Cora is a nymph, a barista by day, art thief by night, having inherited her beloved deceased father's appreciation of artifacts. Along with her trusted fence, she moves a special biological item, a kelpie heart, from the witch who removed it from its owner to a doctor seeking to purchase it for his research.

When she receives a cryptic message from her ex-best friend Damien to meet, she's initially more consumed with their tense past than him needing her experience as a thief to track something down.

But his request rocks her to her he's looking for the very heart she sold away. His heart. The one he needs back before he withers away. In a sudden race against time, the former friends must work together to track down Damien's heart, unearthing painful memories of Cora's father's incarceration and eventual death, and the roles that Damien and his own father played in the tragedy, forcing both to come to terms with the circumstances that pulled them apart.

To save his life, Cora will have to use all her ingenuity while confronting a past that led her to a life of crime—and caused her to lose the boy she loved along the way.

I received an ARC of this book, which does not affect my review. Thank you to the author and Booksirens for the chance to read this book.

I’ve read quite a few fantasy books set in a modern or urban setting, but Icy Heart, Empty Chest brought new life to it by infusing fantasy creatures like kelpies, nymphs, and the like into it. Cora is a sharp-witted art thief who struggles with memories of her family, after her father’s death especially. She also has had a rocky past with Damien, once her best friend, but they ended on bad terms. But when Damien comes to her needing help, things begin to change, and a slow burn romance ensues.

Cora is likable from the beginning, full of wit and a bit of cynicism. She has gone through a lot and has trouble trusting, which makes her rekindling her relationship with Damien interesting, sometimes emotional, to witness. This is a relatively fast-paced book, alternating between the heist and discussions or reflections of the past as Core and Damien unpack their relationship and history. There were stretches where I felt things were moving forward, and others where I felt the pacing struggled a little more. I love a good, deep conversation in books, the kind where you get to know the characters better on an emotional level and learn more about their past.

There were many conversations I enjoyed between Cora and Damien, but after a while, it verged on a lot of recounting past stories in a way that veered into info-dumping. Every once in a while, having a character discuss their past is worthwhile and helps deepen their development, but at some point, I felt like it was happening every chapter. Since this isn’t a long book, the ratio of discussion to action was more noticeable. However, it might be less a flaw of the book itself and more of simply knowing the story you’re going into. I feel like the core of the story is Cora and Damien’s past, things that happened while they were in school together and how they struggled with family issues and eventually were split apart. There is also a lot of time spent on old emails and text messages from the two especially in the beginning and middle of the book. Less time, then, was spent on what I wish was given a little more emphasis on which was the mission to find Damien’s heart. Something with severe implications that I wished had been covered a little more!

Overall, if you are on the lookout for a modern day cozy fantasy mystery, this would suit your tastes well. I enjoyed the characters and the way the mythical creatures were woven into the plot to give a strong sense of magical realism, though the balance between the two plots in tandem with each other - Cora and Damien’s mission and their past - could have been balanced a little better in my opinion.

This fantasy romance had me hooked with its second-chance love story. Cora and Damien were once close friends as teens, but a falling out due to issues with their fathers, misunderstandings drove them apart. Years later, fate brings them back together on a dangerous journey to reclaim Damien’s heart.

The romance is a slow burn with Cora and Damien working through old wounds and mistrust before they can truly open up to each other again. I appreciated that their bond felt earned rather than rushed. There’s just a touch of spice towards the end, which keeps the focus on the emotional depth of their relationship.

Fans of slow-burn fantasy romance, journeys with high stakes, and second-chance love stories will enjoy this one.

Actual rating 3.5 stars

Icy Heart, Empty Chest was a short and fun read. I really enjoyed both main characters. Cora had such sarcasm and sass, but was super caring beneath it all. Damien was the perfect golden retriever MMC! He was so sweet and made me melt.

The plot was definitely unique and drew me in. I mean, how often do you have to steal back your ex best friend's heart? Their chemistry was also very apparent, and the forced proximity was great. I enjoyed their back and forth quite often.

While my actual rating in a 3.5, as there were some drawbacks. The flashbacks were sometimes formatted in a way where I was drawn out of my reading because I was confused what was happening, and then there were parts that could have been more fleshed out. I wanted more info behind why Damien's dad had such a problem with another particular father the most. Was he behind things? That's all I can say without spoiling anything.

Overall, 3.5 is a pretty solid rating for a debut novel in my book. I'm thankful to have received an eARC, and that in no way impacted my review. If you're looking for a fast-paced urban fantasy with a spunky FMC and golden retriever MMC then this is the perfect book for you!

Cora, an art thief, is reunited with her ex-best friend, Damien, after inadvertently trading his heart on the black market.  The duo races against the clock as Damien's life hangs in the balance.  Will Cora procure the lost artifact before Damien's time runs out?

I enjoyed this urban fantasy.  Although the misunderstanding trope is not one that I gravitate towards, this one was done very well!

I liked Cora and her independence born from the tragic loss of her parents, and the circumstances surrounding the false accusations made against her father.  Her gradual realization of her feelings for Damien was written in a sweet, slow-burn way.

Damien is a sweetheart!  He's such an enjoyable MMC and I enjoyed the eventual explanation of how he lost his heart.

I really liked the cryptid world that these characters lived in.  Cora is a nymph and Damien is a kelpie.  There are elves, centaurs, witches, and more!

A gripping fantasy set in a modern day urban setting full of magic and fae.

I received an advance review copy of this book for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily

Join Cora & Damien on an intense, rollercoaster of a journey to get his heart back from the black market before it’s too late. This was a relatively short book (just over 200 pages) but didn’t feel rushed or lacking in any detail. I was invested in the story and characters throughout and was on the edge of my seat at one point.

I enjoyed the slow burn romance between Cora and Damien as they both work through their past traumas to try and fix their friendship. I particularly enjoyed the flashbacks/memories that help piece the back story together.

There’s a small amount of spice, which has a feel of innocence to it. I was surprised at this, as I didn’t expect it from that character but thought it was done well.

A must read for romantasy fans.

Thank you to Net Galley and the author for giving me an ARC!
I really liked the setting of this book with the casual interactions of magical beings and humans. I feel like this was a perfect example of magical realism. Also Cora being a thief, and Damien being basically a police officer. 🥺🥺🥺 It's such a perfect dynamic.
The slow burn romance whilst the MMC and FMC were working together to get back Damien's heart wasn't out of place, however despite it felt a bit rushed. Also, after the introduction of some characters they basically never showed up again despite how important they seemed to our FMC. However, all of my burning questions were answered throughout the book.
The book itself felt a bit too short and rushed and seemed like it just tried to hit the main plot points without exploring the characters and any disagreements they might have. However, it is an great example of a romantasy done right, with the world being so amazing.

Icy Heart, Empty Chest is a fantasy novel by Holly Lee.
Cora, the MMC has lost everything after her father's unfortunate demise. While she is surviving as a barrista by day and an art theif by night, her life takes an interesting curve. Her long lost ex contacts her in an emergency and against her better judgement, she agrees to help him. While on a mission to retrieve his kelpie heart, they both go on an adventure.
The FMC is strong and badass and she works in a coffee shop! The MMC is in law enforcement and is a softie.
This is a fantasy novel in a modern urban setting. Fast paced and packed with a burning slow romance. Do give this a read.

This was a fun read! It was a quick second chance romance with an urban fantasy twist. I liked the creativeness with nymphs and kelpies. The plot was written well, and I liked the characters and their emotional backstories that wouldn’t let their past determine who they are today (for the most part). Cora and Damien were finally able to talk and work through their fallout and why things happened the way they did. Turns out it all was just a miscommunication. I really loved the second chance romance in this and thought it was done well. Overall, I think it was a good read and recommend to those who want a quick read and something light and fun.

4★ – Magical, tense, and full of heart

Holly Lee’s debut Icy Heart, Empty Chest is a sharp blend of fantasy and romance that hooked me from the start. I loved the dynamic between Cora, the art thief with a broken past, and Damien, her ex-best friend who desperately needs his stolen kelpie heart back.

The tension between them is electric—grief, betrayal, and lingering affection collide in every scene. The quest itself is urgent and creative, and Cora’s layered character arc stood out most.

If I had one wish, it would be for a longer stretch of action and reconciliation as they began to “gain hearts.” The payoff was strong, but I wanted more time with them in that fragile, healing space.

A strong debut—full of tension, magic, and emotion—that leaves me excited to see what Holly Lee writes next.

Reading the book overview had me curious from the start. “Cora is a nymph, a barista by day, art thief by night…When she receives a cryptic message from her ex-best friend Damien to meet…”
There were twists and turns that made me not want to put the book down. There were quite a few emotional moments that had me crying and moments that had me on the edge of my seat.
Throughout the book we slowly learn more about the relationship between Damien and Cora and their shared past. I love the development of each of the characters and how they grow throughout the story. Frequently past flashbacks were added to show more of the relationship between the main characters and how it changed over time.
The story is a fast paced, easy read. I couldn’t put it down!

A cute cozy fantasy that had all the feels. I enjoyed the high stakes and the past memories that gave more insight into the characters.

Cora was a great character! I enjoyed her determination, how hard she worked, and her loyalty and love. She had a great heart.

Damien was cute. He was a sweet guy who was all cinnamon roll.

The romance was a friends to lovers kind of romance with reconnecting from the past and overcoming past traumas and hurts! I enjoyed the heartfelt journey.

If you love friends to enemies ish to friends again to lovers, supernatural normal urban fantasy world, social class difference, rekindled flames, magic, she takes care of him, she saves him, cozy vibes, and so much more than check this one out!

I loved how this book blended fantasy and the modern world together. We had nymphs, kelpie, witches and other creatures! We didn't get a good look at many creatures but that's because this book was straight to the point. It went right into the plot!

It was very fast paced and the writing style was easy to read. It's a perfect book to read in between big series or as a palate cleanser.

I loved the unique characters descriptions, Cora our MFC had blue skin and blue hair and Damien the MMC had green hair! There was a fun heist with lots of yearning and the romance was so adorable!

Cora! My girl! She was so strong! She went through so much as a young girl gah! I just wanted to hug her🥹

Damien was such a sweet soft hearted main male character! He just wanted to know what was wrong with Cora so he could make it right! He was sooo sweet and perfect! Also the green hair?! Love!!

If you're looking to get into fantasy or contemporary to dark romance this is perfect for you!!

Was so thankful for the opportunity to read this as an ARC!!

The bones of this book are good!

I liked the idea of a barista by day, smuggler by night arc. Then coming across the heart and the journey with that.

The love story was nice and the plot takes a turn to more internalized healing between the two characters. Not a bad turn of events but lots of monologue.

I’m giving it a 3 because the story overall was decent. However, there were some tense issues and grammatical mistakes that did take away from the overall enjoyment for me. Now not everyone is going to care about that. I have my pet peeves like anyone and they may differ from others. For those that like former friends reuniting and becoming more, a race against time, and redemption, I think you will enjoy this quick read.

Thank you so much to the author for the ARC.

Very emotional read. The cover barely expressed how this book went. Between moments of suspense to watching Cora and Damien get to know the truth behind what happened to their pasts, this was a refreshing read mixing a lot elements I enjoy in a work of fiction. The balance between the dark moments and the light, character development, everything read well. You have to give this book a chance.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This book was just over 200 pages of a good time. Childhood best friends reuniting under strange circumstances, racing against the clock and then igniting a whirlwind romance, sign me up! Also, have it take place in a world that is 100% supernatural?

How many of us regret relationships that we lost or allowed to die out because of some silly squabble or miscommunication by awkward teenagers? This book brings a whole new spin onto it.

It was simple and to the point which I loved while also leaving the window open to a bigger storyline in the future within this world - which I look forward to reading - it's so casually written that these "creatures" are living openly that it makes you immerse yourself easily without needing to spend a lot of time world building.

I could probably go on and on about how much I loved the simplicity of the story, while desperately looking forward to some day reading more about each facet of this place. I want to go have coffee at the Magic Bean please.

✨Arc Review✨
Thank you to the author Holly Lee for sending me this digital ARC in exchange for an honest review.

-All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Icy Heart, Empty Chest by Holly Lee is a captivating blend of supernatural fantasy and emotionally charged romance that grips you from the very first page and holds tight until the satisfying conclusion. This novel pulses with energy, heartache, and a fierce loyalty that makes it impossible to put down.

At the center of the story is Cora, a nymph with a complicated past, whose life takes a dangerous turn when she steals a magical kelpie heart—an act that sets off a chain of events fraught with tension, magic, and deep emotional stakes. Cora’s character is a refreshing blend of vulnerability and fierce independence; she’s flawed but relatable, driven not just by her survival instincts but by a profound need to right past wrongs. Her complexity makes her journey compelling as she navigates betrayal, love, and loss.

Damien, the kelpie whose heart Cora has taken, is both enigmatic and magnetic. The fractured relationship between him and Cora crackles with unresolved feelings, painful history, and undeniable chemistry. Their dynamic moves beyond typical romantic tropes, exploring themes of forgiveness, redemption, and the scars left by trauma. Holly Lee excels at portraying the slow burn between these two, building emotional tension with subtlety and depth that feels genuine rather than rushed.

The novel’s world-building is rich and imaginative. Lee crafts a paranormal universe that blends mythological creatures, magic, and a noir-like undercurrent of crime and mystery. The kelpie lore, in particular, is fresh and intricately woven into the narrative, adding layers of intrigue. The dark, rainy cityscape mirrors the mood of the story perfectly, grounding the fantastical elements in a gritty, relatable setting.

What makes Icy Heart, Empty Chest truly stand out is its emotional resonance. Beyond the magic and thrills, it’s a story about fractured friendships, the consequences of secrets, and the difficult path toward healing. The narrative is peppered with moments of intense vulnerability that offer insight into Cora and Damien’s motivations and fears, making their fight to save one another all the more poignant.

The pacing keeps a lively tempo, combining action-packed sequences with quieter, introspective moments that deepen the emotional stakes. However, some secondary characters and subplots could have been fleshed out more thoroughly, and a few elements of the magic system feel like they only scratch the surface, leaving readers curious for greater exploration. These minor shortcomings don’t detract significantly from the overall experience but suggest room for even greater depth in future works.

In sum, Holly Lee’s Icy Heart, Empty Chest is a passionate, exciting tale that balances heart and heat with compelling characters and immersive world-building. It’s a standout in the realm of paranormal romance, especially for readers looking for a story that marries supernatural thrills with deep emotional impact.

This is such a fun, quick read! At its heart, it’s about two childhood friends (turned "enemies") forced to face the wounds of their past while racing against time to fix a magical problem. I really enjoyed the urban fantasy setting and loved how capable and resourceful Cora is. She carries the story with her resilience and stubbornness. The second-chance romance is sweet and cozy, woven neatly among the fantasy elements.

The glimpses into the past were a highlight, since they fleshed out the complicated bond between Cora and Damien, but I did feel like they were dropped in a bit randomly, as if memories just popped up whenever the narrative felt like it. Personally, I would have preferred those moments to be structured more intentionally, maybe in their own chapters or with stronger plot cues, instead of abrupt dives into flashbacks.

I wasn’t particularly attached to the characters overall, though I did find them very interesting. They had a little depth, but most of it was told rather than shown, and occasionally their actions surprised me in ways that didn’t quite line up with what we’d previously been told about them. It left me feeling a little distanced from the emotional heart of the story.

What stood out most to me was how approachable this book feels. The world-building has just enough flair to keep things interesting without overwhelming the romance at its core, making it a great starting point for readers curious about dipping into fantasy. It reads more like a romance with fantasy seasoning than the usual urban fantasy books, which I think works well for what the story is trying to do.

For me, there are some pacing bumps, and it prioritizes fun over intensity, but that’s exactly what makes it work. It’s easy, sweet, and a good reminder that sometimes all you want is a simple romance wrapped up in magical vibes.

Thanks so much to the author and Hidden Hollow Tours for the complimentary pre-released copy. This review is voluntary and all opinions are my own.

Arc Review

3 ⭐️
1🌶

Icy Heart, Empty Chest by Holly Lee, is an urban fantasy that follows Cora, a nymph, and Damien, a former friend, who asks Cora for her help to get his heart back.

This was such a quick read but I will admit it took me a bit to get into. It was most likely due to the fact that I might not have been in the mood to read it. HOWEVER, once I started reading, I enjoyed the storyline. I think it is unique in its own way and has me intrigued. The idea of former friends reuniting under the circumstance of one of them is dying until he gets his heart back.

This was a basic plot because a lot of the story really is about finding out what happened for Cora and Damien to have a falling out. It was definitely emotional because they have a lot of things they kept under wraps and guarded from each other. It really is a story of how Fate was against them both but how despite everything, they found their way back to each other. I do appreciate the honesty and raw emotion they both had when talking about their feelings and what occurred in the past. It did seem a bit repetitive towards the end because of how much guilt and apologies they had.

Honestly the spice scene could be left out because this really could be focused on their emotional connection. There were a few things I wish I got from this book. I was waiting for a bit of a better world building system because we have different creatures and no explanation really. I also think there's a few unanswered questions, which I am not sure if that's something they are leaving out on purpose on the chance that it may have a second book?

Overall, I think it is a quick read that will tug heartstrings and definitely recommend for those who like angst and second chances.

Thank you to Crowns & Chaos PR and Holly Lee for the opportunity to read this as an ARC. All my thoughts and opinions are my own and left voluntarily.

⭐⭐⭐.5 / 🌶️

This was such a fast read. The book is not on the lengthy side (just a bit over 200 pages, 4-ish hour read), and the plot went super fast. I ended up going from chapter 3 to the end in one night, invested immediately, and it was interesting enough to have me on the edge of my seat (well, my pillow more accurately), turning page after page to know what was going to happen.

Icy Heart, Empty chest is balanced between drama/trauma and cozy romance. You'll find childhood friends, a quest for a heart, friends to enemies? to lovers, HEA, a bit of spice, and funny banter. There are a few phrases in the book that just made me laugh out loud, literally.

I was not expecting the Nymph + Kelpie combo to be so cute, and it feels fresh reading them in a modern setting. Cora, as an FMC, is relatable with her way of grieving and insecurities. Damien, for me, was alright, but didn't drive me crazy as MMC. He felt a bit too nice.

Why 3 stars? I think 3.5 would be more fitting, but no half stars. The big drawback in this story is in fact the pace/length. It goes so fast that I felt the actual evolution of the characters was rushed and lacked depth. Of course, they hadn't just met, but even though the spice comes almost at the end, the vibes were insta love? I wish more pages had passed between every step from ex-friends to lovers. Or at least a major strengthening of their relationship before reaching the point where we all knew the plot was going. It also affects the main plot. I felt it was resolved too quickly and too easily. Maybe my thing is just the drama.

Definitely recommended if you want a quick read with a HEA and a break from the mainstream faes and vampires.

Thanks the author and Books Sirens for the chance to read this ARC in exchange for an honest revieww.

This is a solid pick if you want something light with some mystery and heist, however be aware that the last 30% of the book is basically romance and for me that ruined the climax that had already happened and felt unnecessary, as if trying to make the book longer.

I wanted to read this book because I really enjoy heist plots and while this one is simpler since the story is generally light (although it mentions some heavy topics such as suicide and abuse), it didn’t feel like it all happened due to pure luck. The author shows Cora planning and having good ideas that show she has done this before. It’s rather straightforward, but in a good way, it had the right length and complexity, it didn’t feel too complex to be real but was entertaining enough.

My only issue is the heavy romance focus that I feel ruins the climax of the book, because it adds another 30% to the book of just pure romance that doesn’t really add that much to the story. I think it would have been better if it was just a 15%, making it go more to the point to finish with a sweet calming note, rather than with a long tedious series of quick scenes that I didn’t feel that connected too. Also, the spicy scene really got me out of the mood because it felt so out of place in this book. I like reading spicy stuff, but in this book it’s really not needed and I feel the story might work better with a fade to black.

However, despite my issues with the romance part, I liked it, I think this world and author have a lot of potential to write great stories in the future and I really recommend it if you want something light and entertaining.

This is in ARC review, however it's my honest opinion.

This is definitely a quick and cozy fantasy read! I did enjoy the urban setting of the world mixed with the fantasy. We have nymphs, kelpies, and more!

We have Cora who is a blue-haired nymph barista who became an art thief by night to help make ends meet after her father died. Her friend/fence let's her know that he has this amazing opportunity to make a lot of money when a kelpie's heart makes it to the black market. What she doesn't know is that the heart belongs to her ex-best friend Damien whom she loathes. But when Damien texts her and asks for her help to get it back, things start to change between them and in comes the slow burn romance we all love!

Throughout the book we are placed in the present where Damien and Cora are rekindling their relationship, albeit with some hiccups due to the past. We alternate between this timeline of the heist and flashbacks of the past where we see Damien and Cora unpack a lot of their history.

I enjoyed the premise of this book but I think that it could have been executed a little differently. Some of the book felt rushed - like the action scenes or even some of the flashbacks. A lot of the flashbacks seemed like they were thrown in randomly and was more like info dumping. I found it a little hard to connect with the characters because at times, it felt a little more YA written when the characters would converse.

Overall, if you are looking for a quick and cozy fantasy read with an urban setting, give this one a try!

I read ICY HEART, EMPTY CHEST by Holly Lee for a review tour hosted by the author and Hidden Hollow Book Tours. Thank you to both for inviting me along and for the gifted book.

I really enjoyed this book. Cora is guarded, witty, intelligent, plagued by memories that just won't let go, and living the life of an art thief. It's not the life she would have chosen under different circumstances. She did it out of necessity and because she was good at it.

I like the banter between Cora and the other characters. There are serious conversations, too, between Cora and her ex-friend Damien. He needs help and is positive only she can deliver. The ensuing situation is intense, and life or death.

They take quite a journey in a short span of time. As these two move through the heist, they realize that if they had only communicated with one another years ago, they would've found out their assumptions may not have been entirely accurate.

The pacing was good, the characters are loveable, the storyline was familiar yet unique, and I loved how it ended. I'm glad I read this enjoyable debut book. I look forward to whatever is next from this author.

I recommend ICY HEART, EMPTY CHEST to fans of second-chance romance, friends-to-enemies-to-lovers, fantasy creatures, unique magic, and heists.

I honestly was expecting that to go darker but it was pretty cute! Dae and Cora were a really cute couple and I was almost expecting them not to get together since it had been so much time apart and both of them had kept so much from each other but I was so glad they could work it out and have the reconciliation that allowed them to express their feelings and be together like the should've been despite Damien's dad's wishes. I still don't understand though why his dad has such a problem with them. it didn't really get explained and I wish it did because his dad was also so set on running Cora's dad that there's no way there wasn't some last between the two dads, just have no idea what it would've been.

This was honestly a nice quick cozy read for like a fall romance that put everything on the line. I didn't expect also for them to be able to retrieve his heart that easily and thought there was going to be more resistance from the doctor so that was a real surprise but I think the focus was more so.on then rebuilding their relationship and being able to start their life together doing what they wanted to do with no interference. So I recommend it more for the quick rebuilding of their relationship over the life and death situation because the romance was more the focal point. Great book!

After losing her parents, Cora learned resilience, guiding all her choices, even the hardest ones. When her former best friend, Damien, contacts her, she’s pulled back into her past. He asks her to help recover his stolen kelpie heart, the same one Cora unknowingly sold.

Cora and Damien must find his heart before it’s too late. Their second-chance romance unfolds in flashbacks that show their relationship’s growth. As they confront misunderstandings, they choose honesty and empathy. Forgiveness lets them move beyond old hurts and find common ground, making Damien’s love for Cora clear.

The story shows loss as something that stays with you rather than breaking you, and Cora’s independence stands out as a strength. I appreciated how the narrative respects grief while still offering hope, and the emotional scenes felt healing rather than overwhelming, serving as an emotional connection to the characters. Additionally, the narrative isn’t bogged down or superficial in regard to pacing and themes. Ultimately, it reminds us that healing doesn’t mean forgetting, and that support and love can grow in the spaces grief leaves behind.

Thank you to Crowns and Chaos for the opportunity to review and provide my honest feedback.

Okay… I just finished Icy Heart, Empty Chest by Holly Lee and WOW. I was not ready for how much this book was going to hit me.

At first I thought it was going to be a fun little fantasy story, but nope this thing had me laughing, crying, and clutching my Kindle like my life depended on it.

The whole friends-to-enemies-to-lovers slow burn was so good (like, painful in the best way 😭). The way Holly wove in family trauma, grief, losing a parent, medical struggles, even bullying flashbacks from high school… it just felt so real and emotional.

And the ending?? I went from being so sad for them to so, so happy. Like, I didn’t expect to feel that much but it left me with the biggest smile on my face. Also, it was surprisingly funny in between all the heavy stuff 😏 Cora’s sass had me laughing out loud more than once.

Basically, this book gave me all the feels. If you like emotional fantasy romance with heartache, healing, and a really satisfying happy ending, you need to read this. Holly Lee is a debut author (!!) with this coming out in just a few days, so go support her. Thank you so much to Holly Lee and to Alyssa from Hidden Hollow Book Tours for the gifted eARC
