When the skeletal remains of a murdered woman, rumored to have stolen a boatload of cash prior to her disappearance, are found in the Salem Towne Forest, Detective Jude Byrne wants the investigation assigned to the Cold Case Unit. Not only did he know the victim, Francesca Adams, but her husband, serial cheater, Oliver, who had a million reasons to want his wife dead.
Psychic Copeland Forbes had been working with Oliver for years to discover what happened to his missing wife. Unable to reach Francesca in each previous attempt, Cope is shocked when he has a vision of the murdered woman, bound with duct tape, screaming for help. Unable to get Francesca’s horrific last moments out of his mind, Cope joins the search for her killer.
As suspects with alibis mount, the cold case team fear they will never solve Francesca’s murder. When a long-hidden clue drops into their laps, the killer is revealed.
What happened to the stolen money? More importantly, who killed Francesca? Her controlling husband? A lover? A jealous coworker? Or someone cleverly hiding in plain sight?
Sick of the slogging rat-race of her 9-5 job, Pandora Pine put pen to paper (literally!) to make her ambition of becoming a romance novelist a reality. She cut her teeth in the dog-eat-dog world of fanfiction, still dreaming of the day when she would be a published author. She lives in Massachusetts with her blabbermouth muse who’ s a fan of middle of the night plot twists.
In her spare time, Pandora fancies herself an amateur nature photographer. She enjoys mucking around in swamps, hiking through the woods and crawling around on her hands and knees in her backyard seeking out the perfect shot. Pandora is a fan of roadside seafood shacks and always thinks Mexican food is a good idea at the time.
Some of Pandora’s favorite things are chocolate, writing longhand with purple pens and handsome men falling in love with each other.
Don't miss Pandora’s seductive new novel coming soon to an e-reader near you.
I really enjoy this series and the characters in it. There is a lot of drama as well as the laughter. Pandora Pine has written some great books and I will continue to follow her and encourage others to read them. I usually give her books 5 stars but this one got 4. My reason is that in every book all of the main characters “waggle their eyebrows “ hinting at something sexual etc. It happens much too frequently and for me it’s becoming irritating. I really don’t know anyone who does this and it doesn’t enhance what is occurring in the story. I have read the same comments in other reviews and can only hope the author listens to her readers and lightens up on the eyebrow wagging.
This was a really good story but upsetting because Frankie was such a lovely woman and she died so scared and alone. I was glad that the true culprit of the embezzlement was exposed and that Frankie's parents would have closure. I liked how you suspected who was guilty and the shock of who else was involved and how it worked out and I admit I cried when Frankie was united with her daughter Amelia. I also enjoy seeing the kids growing up and look forward to Fitz and Jace with a new baby but I miss Greeley and the dogs.
Another adventure for the guys in the Cold Case Unit. When the remains of a woman who disappeared four years ago are found Cisco, Chief of Salem Police hands the case over to Fitz, Ronan and Jude. As Cope had met the dead woman before he offered the team his psychic help in finding her killer, stepping into shoes usually worn by Ten, and finds it more stressful than he imagined.
Alongside the murder plot we have the baby of the family Lizbet turning two and there is a surprise at the end.
I only realized that this book had been released when it appeared on my Facebook feed. And as always with this author I knew it was going to be the next book on my list to read. Cope is featured in this book as the psychic when the Cold Case Team are given an old case to investigate when the body of the murdered woman was found. I love anything with this crew in and devoured the book in 1 sitting. Didn't guess the
Ghost of You is completely fabulous and so incredibly moving. I confess to feeling very smug that I guessed who the killer was the moment they were introduced and being proved right!😏😏 I love the Cold Case universe and it only seems to be getting better and better.
Approaching 60 books in in this world and every book in the Salemverse just feels like a big in a book to me. I still adore the found family love that Jude and Cope have with Ronan, Ten, Fitz and the rest of the gang. It's a blockbuster again, too, in Ghost Of You. Love it!
I'm so glad Pandora Pine had so many stories in her brain. I hope she never runs out of this series. Can't wait for the next episode. This should really be a series I can watch!!!😄
Another wonderful story. I enjoyed visiting the gang again as they solve another murder. Cope decides he wants to be included this time. Interesting story. Enjoyed reading.
