When bullets fly, love is put to the ultimate test.
Mia and Murder are caught in a hail of gunfire—and when the smoke clears, nothing will ever be the same. Someone wants them dead, and Murder is hellbent on returning the favor.
Mia never imagined her move to Miami would plunge her into chaos. Falling for Murder meant stepping into a world of secrets, shadows, and shootouts. As danger stalks their every move, she begins to wonder if love is enough—or if it’s the biggest risk of all.
For Murder, keeping Mia safe is priority one. But with the mystery of his sister’s attempted murder still unsolved, he finds it hard to find the right balance. His conscience is heavy with the secrets he has to keep from Mia, specifically about the Lucky Star Casino hit. He quickly realizes that after a certain point, he has to make extremely difficult choices that might hurt the person he cares about the most.
As passion and peril collide, can Mia and Murder survive the storm closing in on them? Or will their love be the final casualty?
Aliyah was weird to me from the start. She didn’t even know Mia, yet she was dead set on going behind her. Completely delusional behavior. Going after Miles because she felt like Mia had “her man” made no sense, and honestly, she wasn’t a good enough friend for Shaniece to even consider betraying Mia on her behalf.
Shaniece, on the other hand, was amazing all around. I loved her character. She was loyal as both a friend and a girlfriend, and she really could do no wrong in my eyes.
Mac was something else. He did what he did and really thought he’d just deal with the consequences later. Of course, once Shaniece finally left him, he started losing it. Typical.
Chantel holding that child over Mac’s head was crazy, and Mac is too grown to have allowed that. Julissa is 15, and Mac had absolutely no excuse in that situation.
Shaniece and Mia had sense and weren’t with the games at all. Mia’s feelings were completely valid as far as how she felt uprooting because she was right about everything from the start.
Things spiraled even more once Mia moved with Murder, and honestly… yes. Mystique finally showing up was the icing on the cake.
Ok this has wayyyy more twists and turns than the first one. So much in happening and I can't wait to see how this finishes. These characters are something else but that damn Mac and Aliyah done pissed me off because what!!! Who needs enemies with people like that around but I am pretty sure it's not gonna go as planned because what ever does!!
