A secret. A line they shouldn't cross. A love they will never forget.

DOMINIC WATSON has always been MIA ASHTON’s weakness. Her brother’s best friend. Her neighbor. And later…her stepbrother. Her crush on him was never meant to be more than unrequited love.

But one night and a pair of masks changed everything.

What started as a secret quickly turned into something Mia and Dominic couldn’t control. Their relationship was a whirlwind of passion and love, until one day he pushed her away, breaking her heart with a lie she never saw coming.

Now, four years later, Mia is back in town for her brother’s wedding. All she wants is closure, to know the truth about why Dominic broke her heart so she can move on.

But Dominic never stopped loving her, and he won’t give up until she’s his again.

Four days stuck in a cabin together.

Two people who were once each other’s everything.

And one chance to figure out if the fire between them has died.

I really hate this book. Im so shocked about the good reviews. This is what you guys want in a relationship? …..
Zero love only sex
The as*hole MMC does everything what he wants, treats her shitty and she has zero backbone, dignity, self-respect….
Like he makes you believe that he cheated in you, don’t contact you during 4 years and you do sex twice and everythjng it is alright?
It is really sad that this is painted as romance white it is only romantization of abusive and emocional dependece.
I hope young girls don’t read this and think it’s ok

#Review: *Devious Love* - Anastasija White - ARC [18+]
5/5✨
3/5🌶️

I adored every book I read so far by Anastasija White! They are exactly my style, loving that angst which is present in her stories. Thank you so much Anastasija and Greys Promotions for this early copy🥹🤗.

Two young souls, one forbidden romance. Mia had a huge crush on Dominic, her brother's best friend. But what was worst? The fact that their parents fell in love and got married. That was the thing that has thrown what they had in the forbidden area and there wasn't a way around it. What will they do now with all those feelings burning inside them, especially in Mia's fragile heart?

This book had three parts, which represented three different stages in the lives of the characters'. I liked this structure of the plotline, because I felt like it offered an even higher level of angst to the story. Mia had so much to suffer throughout this book, having to face the unrequited love and the indifference and hate which came from her own mom, who has always shown icy feelings towards her. It was disgusting at some point how mean she was and how she never understood Mia the way a mom supposed to do. Besides that, she had to face the growing feelings for her stepbrother, Dominic, which might have transformed into something even stronger from that moment when everything has blown away, because of the built up tension which already existed there and some other factors which I don't want to spoil.

I was for sure entranced by this story, enjoying the rollercoaster of emotions, always having that feeling of sorrow in my gut. It was so beautifully written, giving me the chance to fall in love with everything that represented this book. It was raw, unfiltered, heartbreaking, hopeful and mesmerizing. I just couldn't get enough of this story and I was so happy with the way Anastasija decided to wrap up this beautiful book🩷. If you're a fan of angsty romances, you should definitely pick this one up!!

Finished in less than 24 hours. Reminded me of my babies Lennon and Macon from The love of my next life duet. 5 star on vibes 4.5 for the story. I just could not put it down.

You live in my dreams, you’re in my blood, you’re the air I breathe. You are my inevitable. You and I are inevitable.

ARC Review - 4.5 ★

⋆˚࿔ i read this book as soon as it got sent to my bookfunnel and once again Anastasija did NOT disappoint me. i’m so into this kind of forbidden romance especially the whole stepsiblings thing (oops guilty but please don’t judge me lol) because it’s always interesting to see how authors write about a love that people around them, especially parents, would never approve of. this book took me on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. unrequited love, rejection (kind of), forced proximity, tension, being together eventhough they’re stepsiblings, separation, second chances and all of it. i just loved it so much. and honestly, mia’s mom can go fuck herself really.

Thank you to Anastasija White & Grey's Promo for the ARC in exchange for my honest review!

📚 Book #1 of the Interconnected Standalone Series "Devious Series"
🗣️ Dual POV
🕰️ Multiple Timelines
🖤 M/F

Anastasija is quickly becoming a one click author for me! I got hooked with her "Rules Duet" and immediately signed up to read Devious Love when I saw it was written by her. This book is different than the Rules duet books, but it has some of the same elements that make those addictive.

Devious love is about Mia and Dominic, and their love story that begins for Mia as a crush when shes young. They have known each other her entire life, since Dom is her older brothers best friend. They eventually also become step siblings, so there is the "forbidden" aspect later on, especially since Mia's mom is completely against the relationship. There is some OWD, some small blip of "cheating", but mostly angst filled. If the below tropes are your jam, please give this book a chance!

Tropes:
🖤 Forbidden Love
🎀 Forced Proximity
🖤 Brother's Best Friend
🎀 Secret Romance
🖤 Only One Bed
🎀 Childhood Crush
🖤 Angsty
🎀 Second Chance Romance
🖤 Unrequited Loved
🎀 Step-Siblings

Well this was a surprise for sure. Everything was going great, I loved Mia, she was fierce, took no bullshits, always truthful to herself and knew how to set up her limits. Dom was also okay for most part of the book, he could get on my nerves sometimes but I liked how he made Mia feel good. However everything went wrong on 70%ish. It was completely ridiculous what he did and the way he did it and totally unnecessary. It could’ve been solved with an honest talk and he chose to be immature. The way Mia handled it though? Impeccable, 10/10 attitude. Until 4 years later when they see each other again and she forgives him with just a talk, no groveling. It didn’t match up with her personality at all. She deserved better than what she got but it was what she wanted so I’m happy she got her happy ending.

Phenomenal! Devious Love is the first book in the brand new Devious series by Anastasija White. This book is a written in 3 parts, from past to present, it's a steamy brothers best friend/stepbrother romance that is a complete stand alone with OW drama, a 3rd act breakup, a feisty FMC, and a HEA. An emotional journey of carefree kids that are friends until their teenage years and that all changes when friends become step siblings, but one has a crush that will be unrequited and then years later everything changes...

TW: Alcohol Consumption, Divorce, Explicit Language, Mention of DUI leading to accident off page, Mention of pregnancy loss due to miscarriage off page, OW Drama with no cheating, Consenting Sexual Content, Parental Emotional Neglect, Public Sex Scenes, Slight Kink Exploration, Smoking.

I would sincerely like to Thank Grey's Promotions and Anastasija White for my ARC and in return I voluntarily promised an honest review.

Dominic Watson lived next door to his best friend and his little sister, their father's are best friends. Dom has dreams of going to the NFL but his father wants him to work for him in his Auto Mechanics Garage.

Mia Ashton loves theater and drama and at 13 developed a crush on Dom but knew it would be unrequited with the 4 year age difference and the fact that they are now step siblings.

Dom knows that Mia is not happy with their parents marriage but makes her life unbearable when he brings his girlfriend home with him every night.

Mia decides to move away with her Dad and when she returns for college 4 years later she's all grown up and has a big secret.

Dom can't keep his eyes off of her and when her secret is revealed he won't be able to keep his hands to himself either. But his complicated relationship with his ex and a lie tear them apart..

Mia moves to Milan with her Dad to finish college and doesn't return back to the States until nearly 5 years later for her brothers wedding and hopefully to get some closure for her broken heart that never healed.

Dom broke his own heart when he destroyed hers but when she returns he has 4 days in a cabin with her to convince her to give him a second chance and to hell with what anyone else thinks...

ummm this book…might just be one of my favorite books i’ve read by anastasija cause WOWWW, it blew me away by how much i loved this book!!! now normally i’m not the biggest fan of different timelines, but anastasija KILLEDDD ITTTT with mia & dom’s story👏🏽

in this book we get multiple timelines and it all plays a part into how mia & dom get their much needed and deserved hea. now throughout their story dom does some STUPID things that get me so mad at him but also i completely understood why he did what he did and his thought process made sense even though it caused some heartbreak. his and mia’s relationship was up and down, HOTTT and cold, and overall an AMAZING read!!!

mia is such a strong willed person and my heart hurt for her so many times throughout this book, but it also helped her grow so much. she was exactly what dom needed and visa versa. and oh my goshhh…the SPICE was SPICINNN, wooo well done ana 😮‍💨

i also loved mia’s friend and her brother and seeing how much they play a part in this book and then being able to see some them get their own hea within mia & dom’s story was such a cute idea anastasija had to include. it also makes me want them to have their own books 😅 overall, i am now OBSESSED with mia and dom and they will now live rent free in my head

what to expect:

👀 brother’s best friend

This forbidden love romance had me invested from the first chapter! Devious Love is full of angst and definitely takes you on a wave of emotions from the happiest of times to some heartbreaking moments . Dominic and Mia were childhood friends and that’s where we first them in the first part of this story, it’s in three parts. This steamy brothers best friend/step brother romance was beautifully written considering some of the heavier topics, there are some trigger warnings so please check if this is a concern for you. I thoroughly enjoyed this one and would highly recommend if you love a story full of angst, a fierce female character who knows exactly what she wants and an intense male character, I loved them both!
Between a 4 1/2 & 5 so rounded up to a five 🌟
I received a complementary copy from the author.

ARC review, thank you for the opportunity to read this early. Anastasija White does it again!! 5 ⭐️ easily. I was hooked right away and I took my time reading the epilogue because I just didn’t want it to end! Okay… there are 3 parts to this story. Dominic is Mia’s brother’s best friend that turns into their step brother. I was a little worried it would be too cringy but the story played out beautifully and not one cringe moment for me. While Dominic is demanding and domineering , Mia is sweet and innocent. A childhood crush, a unspoken bond from a young age, deception, lies, betrayal, parental challenges, and secrets. “You and I are inevitable.” No matter how much they try to put time / distance between them. Can a step brother / brother’s best friend really turn into something lasting?? Read and you will find out the heartache , heartbreak, and heart mending story of Dominic and Mia.

🖤ᴀʀᴄ ʀᴇᴠɪᴇᴡ ᴅᴇᴠɪᴏᴜꜱ ʟᴏᴠᴇ - ᴀɴᴀꜱᴛᴀꜱɪᴊᴀ ᴡʜɪᴛᴇ🖤

“Devious Love” is my first encounter with the author’s work, but I already know it won’t be the last. I really liked her writing style, and the story itself — despite the difficult topics it touches on — was an incredibly fast and smooth read for me.

To be completely honest with you, what encouraged me to read this book was its description. I also thought it was the perfect opportunity to finally pick up something by this author, since I had planned to do so before but somehow never got around to it. That’s why I’m even happier that I got the chance to read and review this story early. I feel deeply grateful.

Mia and Dominic’s story wasn’t an easy one. If you expect sweetness, butterflies, and pink fluff — you’re in the wrong place. It contains difficult topics that were wonderfully portrayed with care and precision. I never felt like they were just meaningless background elements.

Mia is a character I liked from the very beginning. There was something about her that made it easy for me to connect with her, and at times I felt as if I were experiencing everything alongside her. More than once, I wanted to step into the book and just give her a tight hug.

Dominic was a character I initially found hard to like. There was something about him that pushed me away, and after a certain event, he really lost a lot in my eyes. I thought nothing could change that. However, with each page, my attitude toward him slowly began to shift. Still, the way he was written was truly excellent.

The relationship between the two was incredibly complicated. Nothing was as it might seem at first glance. There was no simplicity in it — instead, it was difficult, full of unspoken words, secrets, misunderstandings, and things that could have changed so much if only they had been said at the right moment. But, as we all know, time can’t be turned back. If you want to find out how their story ends — you’ll have to read it yourself.

Personally, I highly recommend this story. I really enjoyed reading it, and at the same time, it stirred up a lot of emotions in me — often very mixed ones. I’m already looking forward to more books from this author because I know I need to catch up on her earlier works and reach for the ones yet to come.

I would like to start out by thanking Anastasija White and Grey’s Promotions for this ARC in exchange for my honest review!

This was a WILD ride and a great introduction to Anastasija White’s writing for me as well as the start of this new series! I loved every minute of this! Anastasija set the pace and tone immediately! I really enjoyed how Anastasija broke this up into three parts by writing this in both the past and the present. Phenomenally done 👏🏼.

The step siblings trope is always one of my favorites but I can be picky about it and that is because I feel this is a difficult trope to write because you have to take into account how all parties involved would handle the relationship. Does that make sense? With that being said, I think that Anastasija knocked this out of the park! This was fun and I never saw where it was going!!

Dom and Mia’s relationship felt like a breath of fresh air. Their story was heart wrenching but also steamy af. It had so many complex layers that evolved over years of their story. Childhood friends turned step siblings but mix in some unrequited love and brother’s best friend… *chef’s kiss.* I loved seeing them come full circle, get their HEA and be the balance one another needed.

Mia is such a strong character and I loved seeing her growth! Like we watched her overcome so much! She is exactly what I love to see in a FMC.

Dom felt very hot and cold to me. He made me mad so many times doing stupid shit but also made me swoon just as hard. He is where I struggled with this book. I just wanted to love him at all times and instead I struggled with him.

Would I suggest this to a friend? Yes. Would I reread this? Yes. Would I like a trophy? Yeah, probably.

Ps. Please check your trigger warnings! This has some heavy topics. Your mental health matters.

This is my third book by Anastasija White, and I wanna say it did not disappoint. I think she got me with the forbidden romance trope honestly I’m here for it lol.

In this book we follow Mia and Dom, this book has past and present. We meet them as kids being neighbors, Dom is best friends with Matt, who is Mia’s older brother. Mia, had always had a crush on Dom, going into their teenage years, Mia’s mom marries Dom’s dad so they become step siblings. Mia moves away, to live with her dad because she is tired of the way her mom treats her. Fast forward to Mia being 18 and before she comes back to live with her mom again, Mia and Dom have a one night stand, but Dom doesn’t know it was her but still can’t get the girl out of his head since that night. I don’t want to give to much away so let me just stop there and tell you this book does have a third act breakup, it literally broke my heart, Dom not only broke Mia’s heart but mine too. In his mind he did it for her, to help her and not trap her the way her felt trapped. Mia moves away again, and comes back years later for her brother’s wedding. With unfinished business and feelings still there, you will want to read to find out all the parts I didn’t mention. Trust me it’s worth it, cause once I started I did not want to put this book down.

I want to thank Greys Promotion and Author Anastasija Awhite for the opportunity to receive an eARC of this book.

First of all, I have to highlight my favorite thing about Anastasija’s books—the chapter titles. Starting every chapter with a heading feels just like an early-2000s TV series. It’s so cozy and warms my heart every single time. 💫

Devious Love hooked me from the very first chapter. The author beautifully portrayed the different stages of the characters' lives. I felt all of little Mia’s pain—her mother’s rejection, her parents’ divorce, and her unrequited love for Dominic. I loved watching Dominic's feelings for Mia blossom. Sure, he made some wrong choices, but honestly, that only made him feel more real—not some polished, perfect book hero, but a genuine guy-next-door. That's exactly why I love his character so much.

Mia is my favorite type of heroine. She knows what she wants, doesn’t let anyone manipulate her (not even her own mother), and she has the biggest heart.

I loved the chemistry and the tension between them—how Dominic pursued Mia, how utterly obsessed he was with her. 😩 And I was so pleased with the support from Mia's brother, Matt. He's the best! 🥰

Thank you Anastasija White and Grey’s Promotions for an ARC of this book! 💖

ARC REVIEW
By now you can honestly tell how obsessed I am with Anastasija White and all of her books. Her writing and all of her books make me feel comforted; when I get my hands on any of her books I feel completely at ease. And this book is another testament to that statement. If you haven't read an Anastasija White book you absolutely must.

This book is the most taboo in her collection, the step brother trope gets me EVERY single time, and she delivered on that front. It was the perfect amount of tension, romance and spice. I loved how we got a snippet from her previous characters in her other series 'Sinners on Ice', that scene literally made me smile, but then I had a moment where I was like WAAAAAIT I read this scene before and it just made me smile all over again.

Now let's get into the character I HAAAATE the most in this book, and that is.... drum roll please.... Mia's mother. That asshole can fall off the face of the earth for all I care (If you know you know).

Back to regular programming. I absolutely adored her relationship with her brother and her father! It was literally everything to me.

Go read!!!!

Mia spent years trying to move on from her childhood crush on Dominic - her brother’s best friend and now stepbrother. One impulsive, masked night between them changes everything, but Dominic ends things with a lie that leaves Mia shattered. Now, four years later, she returns home for her brother’s wedding and ends up snowed in with Dominic at a remote cabin. Forced to face the past and all the tension that still lingers between them, the line between closure and rekindled desire starts to blur.

This story had a lot of tropes I love: brother’s best friend, forbidden romance, years of tension, and forced proximity. I was immediately drawn to the chemistry between Mia and Dominic. It felt complicated and real. The timelines of the story added context to their relationship, and I could feel the heartbreak between them as truths slowly came to light.

That said, this was a mixed experience for me. I felt that the pacing was uneven and dragged for me in parts. There were moments when Dominic’s choices frustrated me more than they moved me, and I found myself wishing for a deeper exploration of what was happening between the two.

Still, I can’t deny that the story had pull. The angst, the setting and the slow unravelling of the past kept me reading. If you like angst, emotional reads, this one may work for you.

Arc Review
Infinity ⭐

First off I would like to thank Anastasija for the opportunity to read & review this gifted e-arc

Mia & Dominic
Y'all! I swear Ana be doing black voodoo magic with her books. I absolutely ate this up and left no crumbs! I could feel my heart breaking for Mia, and the way she was being treated but I absolutely loved that she wasn't a push over and stood up for herself at all times. She is definitely my type of girl. Dom my man. Ugh I know he was an a-hole but my gosh was he a hot one 😂. I loved watching him struggle with his feelings for Mia but slowly coming to terms with them, watching his character growth was beautiful to witness especially when it comes to Mia. Also the forbidden/taboo aspect of this story was done so well and it was so freaking hot, the tension and banter between these two was so freaking good you could feel it coming off the pages. Ugh I just wanted more!

5/5 Recommend this book. Y'all if you haven't read anything by Anastasija I highly recommend you do so, her world building and characters overlap is meticulous she is such a genius and seeing all the little details is amazing. This book does touch on some serious and sensitive topics, so please check the triggers warnings before diving in.

Anastasija really took '𝕚𝕥'𝕤 𝕒𝕝𝕨𝕒𝕪𝕤 𝕓𝕖𝕖𝕟 𝕪𝕠𝕦' and put it on steroids! If you love that trope, you'll LOVE this book!

Dominic is Mia's older brother's best friend, and then plot twist... her step brother 👀

Their relationship is equal parts chaos, heartbreak, and magnetic pull. It spans over years, crosses countries and leaves you hanging on for dear life. It's the kind of rollercoaster you're scared to get on but then never want to get off.

This book will wreck you, heal you, and have you yelling at the characters like they can hear you. The ending? A perfect mix of raw emotion, sizzling banter, and chemistry that practically sparks off the page.

“ʏᴏᴜ ʟɪᴠᴇ ɪɴ ᴍʏ ᴅʀᴇᴀᴍꜱ, ʏᴏᴜ’ʀᴇ ɪɴ ᴍʏ ʙʟᴏᴏᴅ, ʏᴏᴜ’ʀᴇ ᴛʜᴇ ᴀɪʀ ɪ ʙʀᴇᴀᴛʜᴇ. ʏᴏᴜ ᴀʀᴇ ᴍʏ ɪɴᴇᴠɪᴛᴀʙʟᴇ. ʏᴏᴜ ᴀɴᴅ ɪ ᴀʀᴇ ɪɴᴇᴠɪᴛᴀʙʟᴇ.”

This is Anastasija's best book so far!
Devious Love just gave me those vibes I was desperate for which in turn meant that I devoured the book in less than a day.

Best friends brother, STEPBROTHER, second chance, it just had it all and I was definitely curious how those three tropes were going to tie together but it was done SO GOOD!

I was in actual tears at time following Mia and her relationship with her mum, but her strength was so wonderful, not allowing herself to be pushed around and stood up for what she wanted.
Straight up, Dom is an asshole, but you love him and the more that we follow him we do understand why and how he came to the conclusion of some of his choices.

Dom and Mia together are just straight up hot. Chemistry - insane. Banter - perfect, but they also knew how to just be there for each other. Dom made Mia feel seen and like she was enough.

A real roller coaster of emotion, heartbreak, angst, pining and healing, but it's a ride I didn't want to get off!

Their story is soooo full of heartbreak, discovery, growing and revelations, just beautiful. Be ready to curse, scream and sweat a bit at times too & Do I don't want to say this is a dark Romance but it isn't fluffy either. It was right in the middle. Mia and Dominic have such an angsty and forbidden yet swoony romance.

I thought Ana brought out all the angst she could for her duet, but fxck me. Mia and Dominic’s story was brutal.

The way they pined for each other, it was so damn hawt!

Ana will need to write so many bonus chapters for them, as I love them sooooo much. <3

Thank you Ana for an advanced copy.

I cannot say enough about this book!! This will become one of my favorites. Dom, what can I say about him. He is dark and moody. Mia is his sunshine. These two together were prefect. They had the chemistry and spice. There love travels over time and even through its forbidden can they find a way to make it work.

Thank to the author for this amazing opportunity gives to me!
I have read this book in early access and I was glad for the opportunity, because Dom and Mia’s story was amazing.
I am writing this review after finishing the book and all I can say is: What a wonderful book is it!?
I don’t expect to feel these incredible feelings for this book but here I am!
Dom and mia’s story was a story so intense that honestly i love every single moments, words or situations that Anastasija put together.
Mia is such a strong e great female character that I feel I will forever love her and also Dominic is an intense character, even if in some situations I was a little bit disappointed with him.
I will be forever bound to this character and honestly I think that this is another amazing job .

ARC Review

The book follows the stages of life, telling a coming-of-age story as characters grow and undergo changes over the years that pass between each part of the book.

It checks so many boxes:

✅️ Brother's Best Friend
✅️ Step-Sibling.
✅️ Forced Proximity.
✅️ Forbidden Love.
✅️ Second Chance.
✅️ Spicy.
✅️ Obsession.

The story pulled me in slow, then grabbed me by the neck and yanked me into this world. Once it grabbed a hold, I didn't release until the last page was read. First book I've read by the author, and I'm addicted. It isn't dark nor fully light. Since you watch the characters grow in front of your very eyes. This one is for all those girls who like a man who will knock a dude out for approaching but not taking a hint. That man who is jealous, and won't let you forget you're his. A very beautifully written tale. The right amount of dark splashed onto the light.

I will have a bookhangover now. This was such an amazing emotional book. I have cried, i have laughed. Might be adding more to this review later, but like i said… i have a book hangover right now.

Mia is such a strong stubborn girl who has the feeling she is never enough. In comes Dominic the dominant boy who thinks he ruins everyone’s life. Together that make a great couple.

Anastasija did an amazing job here. I have read the story of Mia and Dominic on wattpad but this story has been so much better. There were some parts missing in the timeline because otherwise i think the book would have doubled in pages but it was amazing. I love how we see them grow!

I got an Arc by Anastasija. I am very thankful to be part of her arc readers group.
