His sister, Tia, has been ordered to hunt him down. But chasing a traitor through an unknown jungle means leaving behind the comforts of control—and opening her eyes to dystopian truths she was never meant to see.

What is real? What is freedom? Does paradise truly exist?

An Enchanting Journey into a World of Animal Fantasy Adventure!
In Search of Maya whisked me away on an exhilarating journey! Vibrant landscapes and captivating characters ignited my imagination, transporting me to an enchanting world where animals defied convention. This breathtaking tale beautifully weaves adventure with profound themes of hope and friendship. A must-read for fantasy lovers! I highly recommend it!
4.5/5 I enjoyed this book; it was great to see Claude's arc continuing and where his journeys took him, and also the growth Tia went through as a character. I really hope we get to see more of Tia's arc in book three--the way she wrestled between following orders and doing what felt right made her very engaging. I loved the land of Maya and the characters Claude meets there, especially Reeshi and Chino!! Reeshi reminded me very strongly of several young children I know, which was definitely funny to read, and I loved Chino and Claude's friendship. The distortion of time is an interesting feature. I hope we find out more about how/why Maya distorts time, and whether it's Claude's perception or reality. On that note, I also really want to find out why the Monvida has no shadow!! This was a part of the book that really got me speculating, and I'm really excited to find out why! For now, I'm going to assume she's a vampire (no shadow and long canines... ;D). All in all, this is a good book and I would recommend it, and I look forward to book three and how this really engaging story continues!
